In reality, if Sarah had only used basic abilities like electromagnetic acceleration, these functions wouldn’t even cause her energy reserves to drop further. In fact, under the overload operation of her Dark Energy Furnace, her energy reserves were slowly increasing at a gradual rate.
Sarah, holding the K2N9 wreckage and braving the tal storm, was gradually pushed backward by the imnse kinetic force. Her feet dragged deeply across the tunnel floor.
However, when the electromagnetic system kicked in, the instantaneous burst of electromagnetic propulsion dramatically increased her power. Sarah imdiately reversed her retreat, pushing forward with the wreckage toward the Ji forces.
If only Ji soldiers were present, Sarah would have already eliminated them and escaped. But the presence of four chanical soldiers had qualitatively transford this team’s combat capability.
The ti bought by the chanical soldiers finally allowed the regular Ji soldiers to react. They quickly joined the firing line. Their multi-functional rifles were now in energy attack mode. While such attacks could potentially breach Sarah’s bio-armor, according to Selina’s calculations, using them was the fastest way to dismantle Sarah’s defenses.
Indeed, the K2N9’s tal armor couldn’t withstand the attacks from these frontline weapons. After a few shots, several holes were punched through it, and even Sarah, hiding behind it, bore several scorched marks on her body.
With great effort, Sarah hurled the tal wreckage she held. She ducked to avoid a few energy shots, scooped up another relatively intact piece of K2N9 debris, and as she rose, kicked several smaller pieces of tal wreckage lying on the ground.
The kick produced a sonic boom. If Sarah were to participate in any football match, this single kick alone would make her a godlike figure.
The pieces of tal wreckage flew toward the Ji forces like cannonballs. If they got close, they would certainly disrupt the Ji formation.
Two chanical soldiers redirected their Vulcan cannons. According to Selina’s calculations, since they couldn’t harm the Swarm Empress but could only slow her advance, intercepting the cannon-like tal debris took higher priority.
Sure enough, the powerful kinetic projectiles were intercepted mid-air by the kinetic Vulcan cannon rounds. However, what Selina could calculate was based on existing database information; she couldn’t predict beyond that.
With two Vulcan cannons diverted, Sarah’s mobility significantly increased. Though only for a short ti, with her superior computational power and reaction speed, Sarah easily seized this opening.
The electromagnetic propulsion reached its maximum output. Sarah’s entire body erupted in a dazzling blue aura, and the air seed to hum. With a flash of blue light, Sarah surged forward several steps. At the sa mont, she was completely enveloped in blue electric light, arcs of electricity emanating dangerous vibes.
Sarah’s transformation imdiately alerted the Ji race to a new variable. Although Selina swiftly re-aid the Vulcan cannons at Sarah, it was too late.
Though Sarah was still several ters away from the Ji forces, they had already entered the electromagnetic field’s range. By this point, Sarah had transford into a blinding white sphere. Her figure was no longer visible, and the blue arcs of electricity seed to vanish.
As the energy level continued to rise to its peak, the white sphere suddenly exploded. A powerful energy pulse swept out in all directions like a tidal wave.
The Ji soldiers swept by the pulse erupted in sparks. Nurous weapon systems failed, and even their multifunctional helt visors short-circuited. The piercing sound of electrical interference nearly ruptured their eardrums without warning.
The pain nerves—a debatable evolutionary or devolutionary trait—caused the intense pain to instantly overwhelm their bodies. They instinctively bent over, clutching their helts, ceasing fire naturally.
The chanical soldiers fared even worse, directly shutting down. However, judging by their flickering eyes, they were attempting to reboot and reconnect to the Ji’s network.
Sarah, of course, wouldn’t give them that chance. Despite feeling slightly weakened after unleashing her ultimate move, she quickly stepped forward and dismantled the chanical soldiers. As for the regular soldiers groaning in pain, Sarah casually grabbed a few high-explosive grenades, pulled the pins, and dropped them at their feet.
Their fate was now up to luck. Don’t bla her for not giving them a chance at survival. A few seconds later, explosions echoed behind Sarah, and the tunnel collapsed into silence.
Although the Ji soldiers’ protective suits could withstand such explosions under normal circumstances, Sarah didn’t know if their material alone could maintain such strong defense after being compromised by the electromagnetic pulse. Even if they could hold up, how long could they last without a functioning air circulation system until rescue arrived? But honestly, why should Sarah care? She wasn’t foolish enough to sympathize with her enemies.
This electromagnetic pulse, though visually stunning, didn’t consu much energy. Its instantaneous output rely slightly exceeded that of the Negative Energy Shield. However, the shield’s continuous consumption was incomparable to this explosive pulse.
Still, this skill was sowhat impractical since Ji equipnt generally had good EMP resistance. Sarah had to get close enough to penetrate their defensive systems.
Fortunately, this EMP system required only a small organ to support it, so having this ability didn’t take up much space. Following the principle that more skills are always better, Sarah’s insectoid body was equipped with this ability. Unexpectedly, it proved remarkably effective here.
But essentially, this was a one-ti-use ability. Once exposed, given the capabilities of the Ji race’s artificial intelligence, they wouldn’t allow Sarah a second chance to use it in the future.
After clearing the previous Ji squad, there were no more obstacles in the tunnel. A few more steps, and Sarah would be free from this gelatinous area. Escaping here ant achieving more than halfway to success.
Her specially designed insectoid body had strong regenerative abilities. After just a few seconds of rest, the internal damage caused by overloading the electromagnetic propulsion and output had already healed. Sarah regained her combat readiness and imdiately quickened her pace. She had already spent nearly ten seconds since exiting the descent tunnel and couldn’t afford to delay further.
Electromagnetic acceleration kicked back in. Within less than a second, despite complex terrain, she could run a hundred ters in the tunnel and escape.
However, the instant she exerted herself, a sudden foreboding arose in Sarah’s mind. She barely managed to shift her body slightly before an enormous force slamd her backward.
