From beneath the oasis, a tree man stood up. He was a tall brown tree with green leaves as his hair. The blue water leaked down from him as he stared at Siderius and Bas.

Siderius opened his mouth and spoke. But Bas didn’t understand what he was saying.

The bodyguard widened his eyes and stared at the hunter. He didn’t know humans could make such a noise.

The Forest Guardian replied in a tone that Bas couldn’t understand either.

They talked briefly but Bas knew that the Forest Guardian didn’t hold much hostility toward them. Bas even heard so sort of laugh from the tree man.

Suddenly, the tree man turned. Bas readied his sword but Siderius put a hand on his shoulder.

"Calm down. There’s nothing to worry about." Siderius said.

The Forest Guardian grabbed a nymph from the tree and spanked her. The nymph cried out and scread.

"I’m sorry, father. Please forgive . ARGH! Ouch! It hurts! It hurts!"

The Forest Guardian spanked the nymph’s butt exactly like a father disciplining their child. The other nymphs tried to run away but roots ca up from the ground and tied them still.

The Forest Guardian went through each and every single one of them, spanking them without remorse.

Siderius sheathed his sword. Bas saw the situation was under control so he also lowered his.

"The nymphs are benign creatures in nature. But they are also very naughty and mischievous. There were quite a few cases where the Forest Guardian fought with travelers because of the trouble caused by nymphs.

But the Forest Guardian is very understanding most of the ti. As long as you didn’t hurt the nymphs or fucked them, everything would be alright."

Bas swiped the sweat off his head. The thought crossed his mind. These forest nymphs looked like young fair maidens. He almost gave in to his desire. But he still rembered the last ti he did that.

After the event with Nora, Bas had sworn to himself that he would only get laid by paying.

That oath saved him this ti.

After disciplining the nymphs, the Forest Guardian turned to Siderius. Bas was even more surprised when the Forest Guardian bowed to Siderius out of respect.

’Holy Shit. Is this guy so kind of demigod or sothing?’ Bas thought to himself.

Siderius and the tree man talked for a little bit more. Bas noticed Siderius’ brow furrowed and wondered what they’re talking about.

In the end, Siderius nodded. The Forest Guardian put a hand on his chest before dragging the forest nymphs down the pool of water in the oasis.

"What happened?" Bas said.

"Well. The Forest Guardian asked us for help."

"What kind of help?"

"There is another Forest Guardian about ten miles from here. He was poisoned by an unknown toxin and the Guardian wanted to know if we can help that other guardian."

"And what did you say?"

"I said yes."

"What... Are we really getting side tracked from our goal?"

"Not really. Helping the Guardian would give us its blessing. This would make our journey smoother. No nymphs or forest spirits would bother us.

Your forest is very lively. Much different than the woods in Eldoria. I suggest we complete this small task to ensure we won’t have to face sothing like this again.

A blessing from a Guardian is also very special."

"Special how?"

"It will make you more lucky."

Bas blinked his eyes in confusion.

The pair returned to their camp right after. The Fairy Dust was dissolved away. The Forest Guardian probably told the nymphs to stop their mischievous behavior.

Siderius woke the others up to check on their status. Most of them were fine. Except Ashe.

She was blushing the entire ti and didn’t say what she was dreaming about.

Quinlan dread that he reached Tengura Mutation and got rid of his deformity.

Jude was a true family man and dread of saving Caterina.

Siderius then told them about the short encounter with the Forest Guardian.

"Saving a poisoned Forest Guardian? Should we really need to do this?" Jude said.

They gathered around the campfire and had a small al before the long day. Early morning was coming.

Siderius shared a calm smile.

"A blessing from the Forest Guardian is a blessing from nature. Basically a blessing from fate."

"Fate?" Quinlan’s brow furrowed, "The sa Fate you told about?"

Siderius nodded. "That fate. We all want sothing out of this trip. But we don’t know if we’re going to get it. A blessing from the Forest Guardian would make everything... smoother.

Fate can be manipulated and if you receive a blessing from fate, the chance of you accomplishing your goal would be much higher."

Jude stroked his thick beard. He understood what Siderius was implying. No one amongst them was confident that they would receive the acknowledgent from the masters and learned Spirit Arts. A fate blessing could make it more plausible.

"If that’s the case, I will be going with Siderius." Jude said.

"My luck has been bad lately. Let’s see if I can change that." Bas laughed.

"I have no objection as well." Quinlan said.

The group continued on our journey. However, they strafed a little bit to the West to find the other Forest Guardian.

"Forest Guardians usually stay in an oasis in the forest. That oasis is usually the most lush area with water and best sunlight exposure."

"How can we find the oasis? Did the previous Guardian tell us where?" Bas said.

"No need."

Siderius pointed at the birds flying in the sky. "The birds like to sleep where the oasis is. All you need to do is follow the birds at dusk and most of the ti you will find the oasis."

"How do you know all of this, Siderius?" Quinlan said, "I read a lot but I don’t even know as much as you."

The truth was because of his 200 years of experience. But he couldn’t say that.

"Reading isn’t enough, Quinlan. You also need to see the world for yourself. Reading a thousand books can help you have the basic understanding of a thousand matters. But you won’t be able to dive deeper without actually seeing them in reality.

"I see."

The group continued their way to the oasis.
