Siderius grabbed the hair of the gong farr and held him up high.
"Where is Oriana?" Siderius said.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about." The gong farr muttered. "Help! Help! Soone help !"
The people on the street surrounded the dirty house of the gong farr but Siderius didn’t stop. He punched the gong farr again.
"Where is Oriana?"
"Help , please! This man is crazy!" The man shouted at the top of his lungs.
People gathered into a crowd. They observed the scene but no one dared to intervene.
Siderius dropped the gong farr on the ground and kicked him in between the legs. All the air flooded out of the gong farr’s lungs as he gasped for air.
Siderius squatted down and stabbed the knife onto the ground, cutting one of his fingers.
He scread even more desperately. But still, no one helped.
In front of him was a man twice the normal size of an adult man. No one was stupid enough to find dead.
They also recognized the na Siderius said.
"Oriana? Isn’t that the singer that disappeared?"
"He kidnapped her? I can’t believe it. He was always so nice."
The manager of the theater also arrived. Isla watched everything from the crowd. Her wrinkled face stayed cold as she observed the man squirming in pain.
"You still have nine fingers left. If you don’t tell where she is, I will cut all of it."
The gong farr bit his lips tight. He made his intention clear. He wasn’t going to talk.
Isla walked inside the yard. "Give the knife."
Siderius gave the knife to her. Isla looked down upon the gong farr without any sympathy in her eyes.
"You’re sure it’s him?" Isla said.
"There’s a tunnel from Oriana’s house to this house. That was how no one saw her leave."
Isla squatted down and traced the knife on the gong farr’s face.
"Won can be very cruel. Especially those that are old."
She did her things.
So of the people in the crowd jerked back because of the gruesoness. So covered their eyes but they still heard the screaming of the man. So watched intensely.
Blood dripped on the knife as the gong farr lay motionless on the ground.
"She’s in... the small cabin outside the woods." The gong farr uttered.
Isla stood up and gave the knife back to Siderius. "Please. Bring her ho safely. If she’s dead, bring her corpse back."
Siderius nodded. "I will."
The hunter jumped over the fence and rushed to the house. She had been missing for a few days and they didn’t know what the gong farr had done to her. Any minutes wasted could be the difference between life and death.
Isla looked down upon the gong farr. "Bring this man to the gallows."
The people rushed inside and grabbed the man.
Siderius went straight to the house. He kicked the door open. His dark pupils expanded as he scanned the house. Oriana lay motionless in the corner of the house. Chains around her ankles and wrists. Bruises and cuts were all over her body. She did not wear any clothes.
Siderius summoned the Silver Hawk and cut down both of the shackles. He squatted down and checked her vitals.
She was very weak but she’s alive.
Oriana’s eyes slowly opened. She crawled back in fear.
Siderius opened his mask, revealing his soft and gentle expression.
"No one can hurt you now. Isla sent ."
"Isla?"
Oriana’s eyes welled with tears as she lunged forward and hugged Siderius. She cried like a baby. The first cry when they’re released to this cruel reality.
Siderius took off his cloak and wrapped it around Oriana. He carried her up in his hands.
When he returned to the town, people were standing on either side of the street. They looked and pointed at him, whispering amongst themselves.
Hugo, the man from the theater, rushed to him.
"Is she alive?" Hugo said with worry.
Siderius nodded. "She is wounded. But she will live."
The disappearance of Oriana ended swiftly with the appearance of the White Witch. His na was once again spread amongst the commoner. The kind lord. The honorable witch. They nad him all kinds of things.
A few days later.
Siderius sat on the bed of Oriana and put a hand on her forehead. She was having a fever because of an infection. It was supposed to be incurable for this world. But Siderius saved her.
Oriana’s eyes fluttered open. Even when she’s free, the fear still haunted her. But her eyes softened when she saw Siderius.
"My lord..."
"You feel better?"
"Yes, my lord."
Siderius nodded and walked away. "My work here is done."
"Wait, my lord. I want to ask. Why did you save ?"
"I just fulfilled my part of the deal."
Siderius left. He returned to the inn and stripped off his clothes. The hunter went inside the bath tub again and relaxed.
He put on a soft bath towel around his waist when he walked out.
The woman was there, sitting at the table, and smiling at him.
"You did it!" The woman said.
"I did."
Siderius didn’t mind her and put on so comfortable clothing. The hunter sat down in front of her and put a bottle of alcohol down along with two mugs.
"You drink?" Siderius said.
The woman nodded. "I do. But I’m afraid I can’t drink it."
"Don’t worry. You can. Just try it."
The woman widened her eyes slightly. She picked up the cup in surprise. At the bottom of the cup was a shining Alchemical Seal.
She chugged the mug down entirely. Her face imdiately turned red and her eyes went dreamy.
"I haven’t been able to drink anything... For a while."
Siderius smiled. "Just a simple trick."
"Who are you really, Lord Snow? You’re different."
"What have you heard about ?"
"That you are a killer that murdered your own mother. But so say you killed those that did it. A few say you are a cold heartless man. But then there are also rumors that you are as gentle as an angel."
Siderius chuckled. He chugged down his mug. The alcohol burned his throat but was quickly dissolved by his mutation.
The more mutations you had, the better you could withstand Toxicity. Siderius could still feel the power of alcohol. But soon, it’d be nothing to him. Just like water.
"I heard that you sing very well."
"Did you? Would you like to hear it?"
"No one would refuse a personal performance from Victoria De Fanse."
