"You recognize ?" Siderius said. "You used a spell, I assu?"

The woman shook her head. "I need no spell to recognize those eyes. Only Snow of Mucktown had that kind of eyes."

Siderius slowly removed his hood and pulled down his scarf. His white hair spurred up from within the fabric.

The woman widened her eyes at the sight.

"Long ti no see, Erin." Siderius said.

"Long ti no see, Snow."

The woman clicked her finger. The large carriage opened up, revealing a small living room inside with a table and two chairs. Hot tea was already there, letting out strips of white smoke.

"Join . It is warr inside." Erin climbed down from the driver’s seat and went into her carriage.

Siderius climbed up to the carriage also. It closed behind him, shielding the two of them from the cold and snow outside.

The carriage was way larger inside with doors leading to other rooms.

"Space Manipulation." Siderius looked around. "This is a very rare witch power."

"You seem to be very knowledgeable about witches. The Snow I knew wouldn’t know a thing about it." Erin squinted her eyes.

"The Snow you knew is dead." Siderius said bluntly.

"Yes. That is what I was afraid of, as well."

Erin tapped the side of the inner wall of the carriage. Suddenly, all the windows disappeared. The space constricted into Siderius and squeezed him in the middle.

Siderius showed no panic and had a lingering smile on his lips. The silver bracer appeared as he drew a cross in the air. The green barrier appeared and stopped the constricting space outside.

Erin’s pupils dilated silently. She had never seen anyone able to withstand her Space Coffin.

"Very impressive stuff, Erin." Siderius looked around, admiring the twisting air and the curves of the dinsional. "You have exceptional control but lack ferocity. With a bit more aggressiveness, you will be able to crush ."

"Oh?" Erin grinned. "Ferocity like this?"

The witch clenched his palm and Siderius’ green shield started to crack. But still, he didn’t show any panic.

"Do what you are here to do, woman. Anymore testing and I will respond. I don’t want to do that to you."

Siderius’ hand rested on his place. He had made his threat very clear.

A Lesser Witch was dangerous. But he was a witch hunter. All his tools were created to counter a witch. Even this distorted space would easily be disrupted by .

Killing her would be a challenge. But buying enough ti and escape would be easy.

"Hmmm. Fine."

Erin clicked her finger again and the space returned to normal.

"Sit."

"Much obliged." Siderius pulled the chair and sat down.

Erin sat down opposite him. They didn’t say anything for minutes until Erin finally broke the silence.

"You know what I want to do?"

"To check if my soul belongs to my body, isn’t it?" Siderius smiled.

"So you know about Body Snatcher as well." Erin said.

"I know."

"Of course, I know. I researched about Witch’s Body Snatcher extensively in the past. I needed to understand it to develop my transmigration pathway to other worlds. Soul Fusion, in so way, is a Body Snatching Spell, but it is way more advanced and complex." Siderius thought to himself.

"Pardon if I sound rude. But you have changed a lot, Snow. I can feel magic in you, even though it is hidden by so kind of spell.

You beca a witch. Your hair turned white. And all your mannerisms are different from before.

Even your way of speaking has changed."

"There are a lot of things that have happened in the last six months, Erin."

"Not enough to change you that much."

Siderius’ expression turned cold as he placed the teacup down.

"My mother was killed by the Bailiff of my hotown. My employer was in on the plan. The culprit is a young witch of the Starcrow Clan."

Erin widened her eyes. She was speechless.

Siderius took out the silver-coated knife that he had been holding on for all this ti. He didn’t need to use it anymore but he still carried it with him. He wanted to use this very blade to kill Lyara.

Siderius threw the knife on the table.

"They used your knife to kill my mother. On it stained the blood of the only family I had."

Erin’s hand clenched tightly on her thighs to the point of pale white. She was the mysterious rchant that gifted Snow the silver-coated knife from long ago.

The first owner of the murdered weapon.

"I... I didn’t know."

"Spare your pity, woman. Just do what you want to do and verify ."

Siderius’ voice was cold. It had the harshness that the original Snow never had. In his voice, there was violence and ruthlessness. Snow was soft, sweet, like he’s singing a lullaby to you.

Erin took a deep breath. She bit the tip of her finger and painted its blood on the middle of her forehead.

A horizontal line was drawn.

Suddenly, the flesh on her forehead split open and revealed an eyeball beneath. The eye stared at Siderius.

In Erin’s vision, she saw his beautiful silver soul and its tight connection to the physical body of Snow.

Body Snatcher couldn’t have that kind of connection. He was the real Snow with all his mory and emotions.

The eye shut tight and disappeared. Erin wiped the blood off her forehead. Her smooth skin returned to normal without any sign of the eye or eyelid.

"I’m sorry, Snow. It is my fault... I shouldn’t have gifted you the knife."

"The only one who is at fault is . I wasn’t powerful enough."

"I will fix this, Snow. I will go to the Royal Court and..."

"You need not do anything. The Bailiff was reduced to dust. That circus owner was burned alive with his accomplice. There is only that Starcrow left."

"And also the assassin but she does not need to know that."

"I will have my vengeance. Sooner or later."

Erin let out a long sigh. She stood up and approached Snow.

Erin had flawless white skin with the face of a young girl. She looked as though she was still in her early twenties. Her alluring sll of blueberry lingered on the tip of the tongue to whoever got close to her.

Erin reached her hand over but stopped mid-motion. They were friends. Very close friends before all of these happened. But now, she wasn’t sure.

"May I touch you?" Erin said.

"You may not."
