'Are you kidding !? Are you fucking kidding !'

Johan's mind went blank. His vision went dark. His consciousness shifted to a bird's-eye view—but not of the present.

It was a view of the events that had already happened—the events of six hours ago.

Johan suddenly increased the speed of the replay, scrubbing through everything to find Beatrice and Raventa. But then, his eyes caught sothing that instantly made his pupils dilate to the limit—

A purple-haired man, more than six feet tall, devilishly handso—looking like a man in his pri—wore a sharp yellow robe that covered his entire body, filled with thousands of intricate patterns.

But what stood out most was a black Chinese dragon pin, worn proudly over his robe—the dark symbol sharply contrasting with the golden silk.

Johan instantly recognized the man—one of the Holy Dragons, the strongest of them all.

Even Radhaan couldn't kill him in the endga. Famously known as the Cockroach in the community.

But... a cockroach who could wipe continents in seconds.

Velmire was hiding in a dark alleyway, the one beside the secret entrance of the black market. His expression cautious as he held a quill with trembling hands, communicating through a shiny gemlike artifact with soone.

Johan zood in. lodis's curious voice rang in his ears.

"Do you know him?"

lodis could feel Johan's emotions, but had long since stopped reading his thoughts. So he didn't know why Johan was so surprised.

"Velmire Sevarin. The guy's the leader of the four Holy Dragons, and a master of sealing magic... he can literally seal ti, space, magic, anything, with who knows how many hexes surrounding him—which basically makes him invincible." Johan said seriously. Taking a deep breath, he continued.

"His combat abilities are also fucked up. He usually carries more than a thousand stage-zero and even divine spells, perford and then compressed in tiny seals hidden all over his body, ready to be released all at once." Johan sighed with a shaky voice.

If it had been anyone else, they might've been suspicious of how the hell Johan knew so much about a high-level political figure of another Empire—but lodis didn't care. He simply took notes of everything Johan said.

"Can he seal ? Like... I'm pretty much a being of another dinsion. He's still a human, right? How could he seal sothing he couldn't even comprehend?" lodis said proudly, mocking Johan for praising a human so much.

Johan chose not to answer. 'In fact, he was the one who defeated poor lodis. No one else could've...' Johan smiled scornfully, keeping it hidden to avoid hurting his friend's feelings.

The 'cara' zood closer, now close enough that they could even hear what Velmire was saying.

"You were right, Orihi. There's sothing weird going on... I feel it, in the back of my mind... that I should escape. As far as possible." Velmire spoke through gritted teeth, his voice low.

Orihi went silent. Then she spoke in the most serious voice she could muster, "I will join you with the others. Don't attack alone, Veli... please." She trusted Velmire more than anything—he was always right.

Velmire felt his heart grow heavy. A frown appeared on his forehead as the reality kicked in, reinforced by hearing the usually quirky and playful Orihi sound so serious.

He took a deep breath. "You don't need to worry about that, Orihi. I'm a very patient man..." he chuckled bitterly, trying to ease the tension.

That chuckle was the last thing Orihi ever heard from Velmire.

"Cursed worlds, wrath of Ragnarok."

A soft, almost gentle whisper rang in his ear. Velmire sharply turned around—but was too late.

He slowly opened his eyes again, his temples feeling unusually heavy.

Hell. That was the only word that ca to his mind.

Scorching heat surrounded him. He stood on a floating rock amidst an endless expanse of dark red magma.

Trapped in an inferno, floating above a sea of molten death.

A black-haired young man with dark red eyes appeared out of thin air, standing on top of magma with crossed arms, his expression passive.

"You're the man he told to be cautious about... haha. Seems like I overestimated him if you were the threat. You couldn't even sense !"

The man ran a hand through his jet-black hair, a mocking grin appearing on his face.

"Isn't that the guard from the black market?" lodis remarked in surprise, his voice low. The power emanating from him was far beyond human.

Johan shook his head slowly. "Look at his Aether again..."

"Whaa—what the fuck!?" lodis's voice ca straight from the throat, filled with genuine shock.

"It's... Lucifer."

Johan's mind went numb. 'For fuck's sake, it's just my fourth day in this world...'

Cursing the Gods behind his abysmal luck, this felt like the greatest disrespect to a Gambler like him.

Velmire frowned, sensing the terrifying Aether of the man before him. He brought the radio close to his ear. Only a buzzing sound replied.

He had lost all connection to the outside world.

"We are in an alternative reality, mortal. There is no way sothing like that could communicate back to the mainland," Lucifer scoffed, disgusted.

Velmire's eyes widened to the limit. The gravity of the situation finally fell on his chest. He took a deep breath. There were only two options if he wanted to survive now—

'Kill him and find a way back... or seal him and make him send ho. Then inform everyone and unite the world to take down this monster.'

He chose the second option. He doubted he could kill soone like this with just a few thousand seals.

Velmire slowly raised a finger.

"Valkyrie's Aura."

Suddenly—

One small purple magic circle, roughly the size of Velmire's chest, appeared in front of him. Thousands of glowing triangles, circles, and squares patterned its surface.

Then another—slightly bigger. Then another. Then another.

Soon, more than twenty magic circles stood before him, ranging from small to massive.

Valkyrie's Aura, a buff technique that increased the power of a spell with no limit—scaling only with how many circles the user created.

With twenty circles, any spell Velmire used would co out twenty tis stronger.

He had only intended to create three.

Any sane enemy would've taken advantage of the casting delay—no one would risk being hit by a twenty-tis-buffed spell from a clearly high-level enemy.

But—

Lucifer grinned excitedly, as if he were about to receive a blowjob.

Velmire took a deep breath.

"Fire Magic, release. Light Magic, release. Gravity Magic, release. Water Magic, release. Distribution Magic, release. Paper Magic, release."

He spoke slowly, word by word. A confident smile crept up on his face.

At the edge of his fingernail, thousands and thousands of small particles began to appear—fire, light, gravity, water, paper, and a black mass of energy—Distribution Magic, a terrifying elent designed to destroy matter down to atomic levels.

Johan's eyes were filled with fascination. Deep fascination.

All the particles compressed to the size of a marble—an impossibly beautiful fusion of colors. But it was a nuclear bomb on heavy steroids.

Velmire had the habit of storing thousands of variants of different spells for different situations. But now wasn't the ti to think about what suited what.

He was releasing every spell he had stored of every elent he'd just summoned.

"Die." Velmire whispered softly.

Swhiiii!

The small marble passed through the twenty purple circles in an instant, creating a beautiful scene—white light tearing through the spell circles, each one disintegrating into a purple snowfall of magic particles.
