"String"

"What is she doing?"

Just as the four assassins were about to charge forward, they saw faint light rising from around Su Zhiwei's body and unconsciously frowned.

In the void, faint light circulated like a tinkling spring. In the microscopic world unobservable by the naked eye, countless tiny "Strings" were vibrating at different frequencies. They ford all the particles of this world, they were omnipresent.

And at this mont, under Su Zhiwei's "command," their frequencies were being changed bit by bit. From a macroscopic perspective, it was like the most fundantal composition of matter was undergoing a change. The drifting air gradually solidified, and a strong wind centered on Su Zhiwei began to spread in all directions!

The four assassins each gripped their sharp weapons, the corners of their clothes fluttering in the whistling gale. They unconsciously tensed their bodies. In the next mont, that white-clothed figure was swept up by the strong wind and flashed before them with extre speed!

In the night rain, the faint light in Su Zhiwei's pupils was so fast it drew threads, and a heavy punch whistled down onto the chest of the foremost assassin!

Thump—!!

Su Zhiwei's movents were more than twice as fast as before. Even the battle-hardened assassins couldn't react in ti. Before his hands could even block, his chest abruptly caved in under Su Zhiwei's fist!

An annular air wave rippled from the point of collision, tearing a gap in the continuous night rain. A mouthful of fresh blood spurted from the assassin's throat, and like a kite with a broken string, he flew backwards and fell heavily to the ground.

Su Zhiwei glanced at her own palm, a touch of astonishnt flashing deep in her eyes.

"Is this... the resonance of 'Strings'?"

Unlike the other night, this ti Su Zhiwei didn't try to forcefully command the performance of a massive amount of "Strings." Instead, she only tried to resonate with the "Strings" touching the surface of her skin, which was the "air" itself.

With the total amount of "Strings" being commanded decreasing, and being closer to herself, Su Zhiwei's control was much smoother this ti. She seed to have grasped the trick to commanding the "Strings" bit by bit.

"Attack together!"

Su Zhiwei's sudden move startled the other three assassins beside her. They struck simultaneously, brandishing their weapons from three different directions, surrounding and thrusting at Su Zhiwei's body in the center!

A military spike, a Dagger, and a Short Blade, three cold glints whistled through the air, attacking from extrely tricky angles!

Seeing this from the corner of her eye, Su Zhiwei didn't dodge imdiately. Instead, she narrowed her eyes, using all her energy to mobilize the "Strings" around her, the speed of frequency synchronization doubling from before!

Buzz—!!

As the sharp edges of the three weapons touched Su Zhiwei's body, a bizarre thing happened.

The surface of Su Zhiwei's body seed to be plated with a mysterious "mbrane." The mont the tal weapons touched it, the microscopic particles constituting them actually began to uncontrollably transform into another type of particle. If one looked even more microscopically, they could see the "Strings" constituting these particles, while approaching the "Strings" around Su Zhiwei, starting to be assimilated to the sa frequency...

The "Strings" were performing, and at the sa ti, the tal atoms were transforming into another type of matter...

That was, air.

The mont the three weapons touched Su Zhiwei, they began to collapse and dissipate, like a toy molded from incomparably fine sand hitting a wall, shattering and vanishing in mid-air.

The military spike thrust into Su Zhiwei's body and was pulled back out, but only left a dark red mark that didn't break the skin; rather, the military spike itself beca a large chunk shorter. The Dagger and Short Blade cut through the training suit, and their sharp blades also instantly beca smooth, completely losing their offensive power, bare and blunt.

This bizarre scene made the three assassins freeze on the spot simultaneously. They stared blankly at the weapons in their hands, unable to understand what had happened for a mont.

In the next mont, a strong wind brushed past them. Su Zhiwei's palm wind instantly smacked away the military spike among them, followed by a kick that sent him flying several ters, smashing through the glass and crashing into the corridor.

"Damn it, what the hell is this?!"

The other two assassins ca back to their senses and imdiately retreated backwards, attempting to pull so distance from this "monster."

The white training suit fluttered in the night rain. Su Zhiwei took a step into a puddle. As the shattered water droplets splashed up, her figure also crashed through the rain curtain, closely pursuing the two assassins!

The roles of prey and hunter were reversed in an instant!

A ruthless look flashed in the eyes of one of the assassins. He reached into the interlining of his clothes and felt around, and a hand grenade appeared in his palm.

"I don't believe it, this thing still can't kill you?!"

He bit off the safety pin with his teeth and hurled the hand grenade at Su Zhiwei with all his might!

In the dim Courtyard, that pitch-black hand grenade crashed through the rain curtain, hurtling head-on towards Su Zhiwei's face as she advanced whistling... Su Zhiwei's pupils abruptly contracted.

"Watch out!" Yao Qing's exclamation rang out from the side.

All this happened too fast. Both Su Zhiwei and Yao Qing didn't expect the other party to actually still have a hand grenade. It was already too late for Su Zhiwei to want to dodge again. She simply hardened her heart and grabbed towards the oncoming hand grenade barehanded, her pupils instantly erupting with blinding light!

Boom—!!

An earth-shattering explosion rang out!

Surging flas burst forth in an instant, like a blazing sun blooming in the pitch-black night rain. The sweeping gale blew the surrounding willow trees into a frenzy. The two assassins also stopped their figures, joy surfacing in their eyes.

No human could survive a hand grenade explosion at such a close distance... Su Zhiwei's death was a foregone conclusion, they were the final victors.

However, before they could make any moves, the smiles at the corners of their mouths suddenly froze.

They saw the blazing sun of the hand grenade explosion suddenly roll violently. The raging fire seed to be entangled and pulled by sothing, dancing wildly like pythons. At the sa ti, a figure slowly walked out from the flas...

The white training suit was burned into a dilapidated state. An arm covered in scorch marks slowly parted the wildly dancing flas. Su Zhiwei stepped onto the puddled ground step by step, wisps of white mist dissipating from the corners of her mouth.

Her pupils reflected the surrounding flas, and the "Sea of Strings" flying wildly and restlessly at high frequency. That was the essence of "fire," and at the sa ti, it was a hearty and dripping symphony.

"This is... the sonata of 'Fire'."

As Su Zhiwei's scorched black hands abruptly clenched into fists, the wildly dancing fla pythons interwove around her. Following a forceful step forward, the flas produced by the hand grenade explosion instantly compressed, and then "deflagrated" for a second ti towards the front of Su Zhiwei!

A surging sea of fire swept across the rain curtain in an instant, swallowing the two astonished and horrified assassins within.

"Ahhhh!!!"

Two tragic screams rang out under the night sky. In panic, they wanted to flee, but were burned into charcoal in just a few short breaths. After staggering two steps, they plopped and planted headfirst onto the ground, shattering all over the place.

The bodies of the four assassins fell in various parts of the Courtyard. In the corner, Yao Qing looked at the beautiful figure wreathed in flas, his mouth wide open in disbelief...

The embers of the flas dispersed with Su Zhiwei's wave of her hand, two trails of fresh blood flowing from her nostrils... Su Zhiwei turned her head, wanting to say sothing to Yao Qing in the corner. In the next mont, she closed her eyes and fell forward powerlessly.
