Final Escape
"A Fusionist?" Pu Xiachan furrowed her brows slightly, her entire body becoming alert.
Han ng tested his breathing. After confirming he was still alive, he patted his shoulder:
"Zhao Yi."
Under Han ng's shaking, Zhao Yi finally slowly opened his eyes. Seeing that familiar face, he froze slightly...
"Officer Han ng?"
"Why are you sleeping here?"
"I..." Zhao Yi recalled what had happened before he fainted, his face suddenly turning sowhat gray.
BOOM——
The rumbling of Calamities colliding with the ruins transmitted from afar. Han ng glanced at the ti, directly lifted Zhao Yi onto his back from the ruins, and was about to walk towards the direction of the domain train.
"You're bringing him onto the domain train?" Pu Xiachan spoke in shock, "He's a Fusionist!"
Everyone knew how the South Sea Domain had been breached. Pu Xiachan had even personally witnessed the berserk Fusionists killing mbers of the Pu Family. In their eyes, the current Zhao Yi was undoubtedly a ticking ti bomb, liable to lose control at any mont.
"If he were going to lose control, he would have lost control long ago." Han ng answered calmly. "The fact that he could survive from Ye Mu's hands ans he's fine."
Pu Xiachan was still sowhat worried, but she glanced at the weak Zhao Yi, hesitated for a mont, and ultimately chose to trust Han ng.
Quickly, the three arrived at the signal flare's location.
The location where the signal flare rose wasn't at the domain train station. After all, the very first mont the entire Integration Faction lost control, they had already destroyed the entire station to prevent anyone from escaping the South Sea Domain... Right before the three of them was a temporary warehouse used to store the domain train.
Inside the warehouse, the locomotive of the domain train had a carriage attached to it. At this ti, several figures were already standing inside the carriage, currently starting the train.
"Xiachan!"
Seeing Pu Xiachan, Pu Chunshu on the train had his eyes light up. The heart that had always been hanging in suspense was finally set down.
Besides Pu Chunshu, the Head of the Pu Family, whose body was covered in injuries, was also inside the carriage. However, his condition seed very poor. His body was covered in wounds left by Calamities. Beside him, a survivor of the Path of the Physician was working hard to treat him. Pu Shu and another two or three Pu Family survivors were also gathered around.
Seeing Han ng arrive, the weak Head of the Pu Family squeezed out a trace of a smile and nodded slightly at him as a greeting.
Pu Shu at the side had his face imperceptibly darken slightly, seemingly complaining why the heavens hadn't let this guy Han ng die at the hands of the Calamities... But complaining internally was one thing. With the Head of the Pu Family and the others present now, he didn't dare to actually say anything.
"Where's Uncle Sanyuan?" Pu Xiachan asked in confusion.
"He's still clearing the Calamities along the tracks, paving the way for us." The Head of the Pu Family answered, "We were able to survive this ti all thanks to Sanyuan..."
The Scholar's combat power was displayed to the fullest in this war. After all, he was much younger than the Head of the Pu Family and the others, and he was also more skilled in combat, becoming everyone's sole hope at present.
Han ng stepped onto the carriage. His gaze quickly noticed the corner of the carriage, upon that equally dying Blind Man.
However, unlike the Head of the Pu Family, there were no obvious Calamity wounds on the Blind Man's body, but his vitality was like withered grass in the wind, seemingly about to extinguish at any mont. His hair was dry and falling out, and two trails of bloody tears had congealed on his cheeks. He was like a disheartened sculpture, motionless in the corner.
"Wait, why did you bring a Fusionist onto the train??" On the other side of the carriage, the Councilor abruptly stood up, "He'll get us all killed!"
Compared to the others who were battered from battle, this Councilor was sowhat excessively clean. Not only did he not have any wounds, his clothes were hardly stained with dust, as if he had already hidden inside this carriage the very first mont the great battle began.
Feeling the Councilor's highly aggressive gaze, as well as the other people's eyes full of wariness, Zhao Yi's weak body trembled slightly...
He didn't rebut anything, rely silently lowering his head, not saying a word.
"Shut up." Han ng couldn't be bothered to talk nonsense with this kind of deserter. He directly raised his muzzle and aid it at the center of the Councilor's brows, speaking coldly, "Say one more word, and I don't mind killing a piece of trash to lighten the weight of this carriage."
The chestful of deliberate and ruthless remarks that the Councilor had just brought to his throat was blocked back down by Han ng's single sentence, so much so that he abruptly didn't dare to say a single word more.
He had already offended Han ng extrely deeply in the first place, and now he was also the most useless person on this train. If Han ng truly killed him with a single shot, it was likely that the others wouldn't stop him at all.
"Let him up..." In the corner, the Blind Man spoke weakly, "He's not under the Thought Calamity's control."
The Blind Man had already witnessed the Thought Calamity's layout with his own eyes. In those thought threads extended by the Thought Calamity, he hadn't seen Zhao Yi's shadow.
Since the Blind Man spoke, the others naturally wouldn't have any more objections. Zhao Yi was thus settled onto a seat.
At the sa ti, a rumbling whistle sounded from the locomotive...
Buzz, buzz, buzz——
Under the circumstance of the power being pulled to the maximum, the carriage vibrated and drove forward, just leaving the warehouse like this, rapidly charging towards the edge of the domain along the tracks.
Everyone gripped the things beside them tightly, looking out the window. At this ti, the Calamities on the nearby streets had all heard the sound of the whistle. They rapidly changed direction and surged towards this place.
"Can this train really break out of the South Sea Domain?" The Councilor at the side turned deathly pale, asking anxiously.
"I don't know." The Head of the Pu Family paused for a mont, "But at least, compared to scattering and fleeing, our survival rate is a bit higher by gathering together."
The domain train originally possessed the effect of dispersing Calamities. In addition, there were two Eighth-Tiers escorting this train, and the other survivors inside the carriage were also mostly Sixth-Tier and Seventh-Tier combat forces. This was absolutely the safest way to leave right now.
The whistle rumbled, and the train began to frantically accelerate amidst the ruins. The locomotive, which the Tower to Heaven had poured its heart and soul into building, smashed open all the ruins on the path with an unstoppable montum, rolling dust and smoke flying up!
The marks of the Path of the Witch God distributed across the train and the tracks continuously lit up. When those lower-tier Calamities charged near the domain train, it was as if they were affected by so kind of power. They subconsciously stopped their movents and warily retreated backwards...
While the train was advancing, a Scholar stepped on empty air above the tracks. Countless words surrounded him, seemingly escorting this train.
But in the next mont, a low giant beast's roar transmitted from afar!
MOO————!!!
The aura of World-Ending mixed with bone-piercing freezing cold, swirling above the ruins. Those Eighth-Tier Calamities scattered in various corners seed to have received so kind of guidance simultaneously, frantically surging towards the direction the train was advancing!
They didn't directly approach with their physical bodies. Instead, they whipped up bursts of ocean waves on the frost-covered earth. Countless giant frost blades condensed, smashing overwhelmingly towards the continuously accelerating domain train!
"Oh no." The Head of the Pu Family's face was incomparably ugly,
"Those two World-Endings... seemingly don't want to let us leave."
