Lord of the Aurora VS Seventh Fleet

The great crimson theatrical robe also arrived on the deck. Chen Ling looked up at the white figure beneath the aurora, his expression sowhat surprised.

He had thought that the Lord of the Aurora, who could capture biological magnetic fields, would see a massive increase in strength after absorbing millions of souls. However, he hadn't expected Yang Xiao's progress to be so rapid... Just a few days ago, he had barely stepped into the Fourth Order. But the aura he was exuding now had already surpassed Chen Ling when not utilizing his Second Personality.

In other words, Yang Xiao's current power was at the level between the Seventh and Eighth Order, leaving everyone else in the dust. He was already the strongest among the Nine Monarchs of this era.

"What is that? An aurora?"

"Damn it, why have all the missiles we fired stopped moving?"

"Is it a Class-Changer from the East? I've never heard of a Class-Changer related to auroras..."

"Is he the one who destroyed the Seal Fleet?"

"Open fire!! Keep firing..."

"Bzzzt... bzzzt... bzzzt..."

As the resplendent aurora flowed through the sky, the entire internal communication network of the Seventh Fleet simultaneously went silent!

Not only that, under the bombardnt of an electromagnetic storm, whether it was the surface combat fleet, the underwater submarine fleet, or the airborne combat units that had already taken off, all their electronic equipnt was simultaneously paralyzed!

This was especially true for the airborne combat units. With their electronics failing, large numbers of fourth- and fifth-generation fighter jets almost completely lost any combat capability. If not for their backup ergency power kicking in, they likely wouldn't even be able to maintain basic flight, let alone fight Yang Xiao. Even surviving a landing would depend entirely on their individual flying experience and luck.

Radars failed, communications failed, automatic missile targeting systems failed, smart fire extinguishing systems failed, digital operating rooms shut down...

Yang Xiao hadn't even done anything yet, and the previously ferocious Western behemoth had already had its fangs and claws ripped out, becoming a blind lamb waiting to be slaughtered.

In modern warfare, the Lord of the Aurora was tantamount to a Divine Being.

Yang Xiao's gaze swept over the missiles he had frozen in mid-air. With a gentle wave of his hand, they reversed direction and shot straight toward the Seventh Fleet!

At the sa ti, interceptor missiles rapidly rose from the nuclear-powered aircraft carriers. But without the Aegis combat system to automatically intercept the missiles, relying solely on manual interception resulted in an appallingly low interception rate. Out of thirty-five missiles, only four were successfully intercepted.

Amidst a series of deafening explosions, over thirty warships were struck by missiles, and billowing black smoke surged into the sky.

"Is this the power of the Lord of the Aurora..."

On the destroyer's deck, the great crimson theatrical robe fluttered in the wind. Watching Yang Xiao single-handedly take on the Seventh Fleet, he couldn't help but sigh in awe.

Faced with such a powerful fleet, even Chen Ling with his Second Personality active would likely struggle to win easily. After all, he could only rely on his World-Ending Calamity physical body to forcibly withstand the missiles. It would be akin to a primitive man wielding a large club trying to smash a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. Although he certainly had the strength to smash them to pieces, it would still require considerable effort.

In contrast, Yang Xiao rely stood there, delivering an absolutely indisputable, overwhelming crush.

Of course, this didn't an that the current Yang Xiao was stronger than Chen Ling. It simply ant that in the domain of modern warfare, he possessed absolute dominance.

"You were the ones who first fired the nuclear weapons... You started this war, and you were the ones who caused hundreds of millions of people to beco souls trapped in a sea of fire!" Yang Xiao glared at the fleet flying their flags, his aurora-filled eyes burning with rage. The cries of the millions of lives tragically lost in the nuclear strike echoed in his ears once more.

"You... must pay the price!!"

Yang Xiao slowly raised his hands, seemingly manipulating the Earth's magnetic field around him. The fighter jets that had yet to take off from the nuclear-powered aircraft carriers suddenly began to violently tremble!

Clang, clang, clang, clang—

All the restraining chanisms securing the fighter jets to the carriers automatically snapped open. As if drawn by so unseen force, the entire fleet of fighter jets directly levitated into the sky!

On the decks of the aircraft carriers, a massive number of Arican soldiers subconsciously retreated upon witnessing this scene. Their eyes widened in disbelief, and shouts and cries of alarm filled the air unceasingly...

As Yang Xiao released his hands, the dense swarm of fighter jets suspended in the sky plumted straight toward the sea!

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom—!!!

These fighter jets either crashed into the sea, exploding into balls of fire, or smashed directly into the fleet or the aircraft carriers, destroying more than half of them. The massive, magnificent fleet of warships was instantly transford into a sea of fire.

With both their aerial and surface combat forces completely paralyzed, Yang Xiao still didn't stop. His gaze fell beneath the ocean's surface, and he gently clapped his hands together.

In an instant, the outer hulls of the submarine fleet lurking beneath the water suddenly twisted and cracked. The intense pressure of the seawater imdiately destroyed the submarines' structural integrity through the distorted areas. Yang Xiao didn't even need to do anything further; the water pressure tore the submarine fleet to shreds!

Instantly destroying these underwater submarines was even easier than dealing with the surface fleet.

During this ti, the aircraft carriers and the remaining fleet attempted to bombard Yang Xiao with missiles, but not a single one could get close to his body. Under the influence of the aurora, these missiles lightly veered off course and automatically flew back toward their launch sites, triggering terrifying explosions on the ocean's surface once again!

Submarines sank, the fleet burned, and fighter jets continuously plumted into the sea amidst the chaos...

This elite Arican fleet didn't even manage to reach the Eastern borders, nor could they send out even a single distress signal to their holand, before they were entirely annihilated beneath the aurora.

Watching the Seventh Fleet gradually sink beneath the waves, the sky full of aurora gradually dimd. The white-clothed figure slowly floated down from the sky, returning to the deck of the destroyer.

"How does absolute domination feel?" Chen Ling raised an eyebrow.

Yang Xiao's face was sowhat pale. He glanced toward where the Seventh Fleet had sunk and replied hoarsely,

"Not so good... Wailing, roaring, pleading for help, praying... I can hear the voices of every single one of them after they died, and I can only sit by and watch it happen... I am the main culprit behind all of this."

This was actually the first ti Yang Xiao had killed anyone, and he had killed so many in one breath. He could hear every person's furious roars and curses aid at him after death... This was the ability of the Lord of the Aurora, but also his curse.

"Do you regret it?"

"No." Yang Xiao shook his head. "They were the ones who initiated the war, so they must bear the price of defeat... My life was saved by the millions of souls in Tongzhou. Since they died because of this, it is only natural that I avenge them."

Chen Ling could sense that the current Yang Xiao was different from the one he had first t in Shennongjia... People always grew. In this chaotic era, Yang Xiao was steadily transforming from that introverted, isolated scientist into the true Lord of the Aurora, soone capable of shouldering the future of humanity.

"Are you not going to absorb those deceased souls?" Chen Ling pointed to the sky above the Seventh Fleet, at the dissipating resentful souls. "If you absorb them, you'll grow stronger much faster."

"No." Yang Xiao refused without hesitation. "I research magnetic fields for the progress of humanity, to protect more people... not to capture the souls of others and turn them into my own power.

rging with those tragically lost souls from Tongzhou was an unconscious action. That was the first ti, and it will be the last.

I hope that from now on...

My aurora will exist only to protect."
