This day.
X-n Universe, Earth.
The entire cathedral in London, England, had been rented out for a grand event. Heads of state, esteed educators from Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, forr mbers of Apocalypse's inner circle, Magneto's family, Jean's relatives, and a diverse gathering of influential figures had assembled for a montous wedding.
Inside the magnificent, ancient cathedral, guests adorned in elegant attire filled the pews, so even standing along the edges. Magneto Erik, an imposing figure rarely seen in formal wear, presided over the ceremony.
In the absence of the groom's imdiate family, Professor X, Charles, graciously stepped in as a representative.
Bathed in the soft, ethereal glow of the cathedral's stained-glass windows and accompanied by the enchanting lodies of a classical orchestra, Caesar, looking every inch the sophisticated gentleman, escorted Jean down the aisle.
Jean, resplendent in a wedding gown that seed to have materialized from a fairytale, radiated an ethereal beauty.
The assembled guests, a tapestry of emotions reflected on their faces – awe, intrigue, and heartfelt blessings – witnessed the couple's procession towards the altar.
Among them, the group of young male teachers and students from the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters experienced a unique blend of emotions. Their goddess, the object of their collective admiration, was now betrothed to another. Genuine blessings felt bittersweet.
"Mr. Scott, are you going to try and steal the bride? This is your last chance," A few of his fellow mutant classmates whispered, nudging Scott Sumrs, who sat towards the back of the hall.
Scott, whose pursuit of Jean had been legendary throughout their ti at the academy, had followed her affections from their youthful days into adulthood. This was an open secret among their peers.
"Steal the bride? I value my life, thank you very much," Scott retorted with a wry smile on his face with a touch of bitterness lacing his voice.
The groomsn were a formidable assembly: Wolverine Logan, Azazel (the Red Devil), Hank (the Beast), Pietro (Quicksilver), and the Archangel, a forr mber of Apocalypse's elite.
The bridesmaids were equally impressive: Storm, Psylocke (another forr Horseman of Apocalypse), Moira (the first female director of the CIA), and Magneto's three daughters – Wanda, Lorna, and Anya.
Even Apocalypse himself was present to ensure the proceedings remained orderly.
Stealing the bride in front of a gathering that could potentially end the world with a snap of their fingers? Suicide seed like a more appealing proposition!
And let's not forget that today's protagonists – Caesar and Jean – possessed powers that likely surpassed those of anyone else in the room.
Seated in his wheelchair, Professor X Charles gazed at the newlyweds approaching the altar, a wave of nostalgia washing over him. He was transported back to a pivotal mont in his life.
Young Caesar had fallen from the sky, quite literally, landing in his backyard.
"I'm Charles. Who are you?"
"Hello, I'm Caesar. I'm from... Marvel."
And so, their extraordinary journey began. They beca friends, ntor and student, and ultimately, a surrogate family.
"You're probably thinking the sa thing I am, right?" a familiar voice chid in from behind.
Charles didn't need to turn around to know it was Mystique.
He smiled, a hint of moisture in his eyes, "Indeed."
At the wedding ceremony...
Caesar and Jean stood facing each other.
Erik, standing beside them, appeared even more solemn than he had during a presidential assassination attempt. Holding the sacred book, he intoned, "Do you take this woman to be your wife? To love her, to cherish her, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, until death do you part? Do you?"
"I do," Caesar affird.
Erik turned his gaze to Jean and inquired in a resonant voice, "Do you take this man to be your husband? To love him, to cherish him, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, until death do you part? Do you?"
"I..." Jean t Caesar's gaze, a fleeting pause, and then her face erupted into a radiant smile. "Of course, I do. I've wanted to marry you since I was thirteen!"
"Then – congratulations to you both. You are now husband and wife. May your love endure forever." Erik raised his hands, a signal to Wanda and Lorna, the twin sisters, to present the rings.
With the Möbius wedding rings exchanged, amidst the cheers and blessings of the assembled guests...
Caesar and Jean embraced and sealed their vows with a tender kiss.
No matter what adventures awaited them in the future, Caesar knew with absolute certainty that he could never let Jean go, and she would never let him go.
And so, they were married, a union born of both spontaneity and destiny.
During the traditional bouquet toss…
Jean, her back to the crowd, launched the bouquet into the air.
Scott Sumrs was the first to react! If he couldn't have the bride, he could at least claim the bouquet, right?
However, Scott hadn't anticipated Hank (Beast) sharing the sa ambition. To secure the bouquet, Hank unleashed the raw speed of his bestial form, hurtling towards it with astonishing agility.
Scott couldn't help but think, I've never seen you this eager during a battle!
Quicksilver Pietro hadn't initially planned to participate, but the competitive spirit ignited within him. His superhuman speed allowed him to traverse the distance in an instant, placing him squarely in the race for the bouquet.
anwhile, Wanda and Lorna sprang into action, not to claim the bouquet themselves, but to prevent their brother from doing so!
Nearby, Archangel and Storm unleashed their respective powers – tallic wings and a tempest of thunder and lightning – to impede the progress of Beast and Scott.
The other guests joined the fray, transforming the scene into a chaotic lee.
For a brief, exhilarating mont, the cathedral seed to teeter on the brink of pandemonium!
Thankfully, Apocalypse had preemptively erected a protective barrier, preventing any catastrophic consequences.
Thunderstorms, tallic feathers, powerful telekinesis, the blur of Quicksilver's movents, chaotic magic, the unpredictable shifts of Blink's teleportation…
The innocent bouquet, suspended in mid-air, resembled a fragile vessel navigating a tempestuous sea, threatened with destruction at any mont.
Yet, no one could decisively claim it. Each attempt was t with a counter-offensive.
Three seconds stretched into an eternity.
Finally, the bouquet arced gracefully through the air, landing gently in soone's arms. The frenetic energy in the cathedral subsided as quickly as it had erupted.
Gazing at the bouquet nestled in his lap, Professor X Charles was montarily stunned. I didn't even try to catch it!
Caesar, observing the scene from the altar, offered a knowing smile. "Congratulations, Charles."
Raven, standing behind Charles, blushed slightly, turned, and walked away.
"Professor, aren't you going to pursue her?" Jean inquired.
"I'm getting on in years…" Charles chuckled, rubbing his scalp. But under the encouraging gaze of the assembled guests, including Magneto Erik, he gritted his teeth, maneuvered his wheelchair, and swiftly followed Raven.
Laughter rippled through the crowd, a joyous symphony of sound.
Caesar and Jean exchanged a knowing glance, their hearts overflowing with contentnt.
In the end, it was undeniable: love transcended age, identity, ti, space, and all else. It was the most potent, the most magnificent force of all.
With a newfound sense of belonging, Caesar felt that his journey in the X-n universe had reached its perfect culmination.
From this mont forward, only one thing truly mattered – who stood by his side.
