Wilder finished his al, unsure whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, as there was no distinction between day and night in this red realm.
Ahab helped him onto the wheelchair, and Shaina left with the tray. Ahab then pushed Wilder into the elevator, arriving at the hall.
The robe Wilder wore was made of silk, smooth to the touch and very luxurious. As Ahab wheeled him out of the elevator, they saw many people wearing coarse burlap clothes, engaged in quiet conversation.
These people had tallic heads, both n and won, holding various books, discussing art, philosophy, technology, and history.
When they noticed Ahab, they paused their conversation and bowed to her.
"Don't let interrupt you." Ahab said with a smile.
The people nodded in response and continued their conversation.
Wilder recognized these people, resembling the iron army that appeared long ago on the Blackside Plains.
Ahab pushed Wilder out of the hotel. The street had no vehicles or shops, and the creations of bygone humans were no longer visible. The simple and direct white dirt road stretched out, surrounded by buildings made of intertwined red trees and soil. Various people strolled the streets, everywhere were books, piled high, and passersby read and returned them at will.
These pedestrians were tall and brawny, so with flowers growing on their faces, shoulders covered with large flower petals and leaves, so entirely iron-gray like the iron people in the hotel lobby, and others were spiky all over, entirely pale.
They were the iron n who wiped out the human united army! These forrly tall and mighty war machines now wore simple clothes, holding books, living a pastoral life.
anwhile, Wilder also saw another group of people on the street, wrapped in black robes, constantly spraying perfu on themselves, looking as if afflicted, yet no one despised them.
As Ahab pushed the wheelchair past these people, Wilder slled a stench of decaying corpses.
"The dead…" Wilder said.
"The boundary between life and death is not so clear, the decay of the flesh does not an the withering of the soul." Ahab said with a smile.
The people in black robes bowed to Ahab, she waved, continuing on.
"What has happened here? Where is your army?" Wilder asked.
"Army? This planet no longer needs an army. Wilder, the war is completely over, everything is over, here will have eternal peace and tranquility." Ahab said.
"Such false peace I have seen before! What about outside Blackside?" Wilder asked again.
"It is the sa, only it is not within the range of divine light's protection, Radiant Sun is trying to resolve this issue." Ahab said.
"What about the others… are they all…" Wilder's hands trembled, nine years had passed, are all indeed dead… or have they been transford into His followers? The ending turned out like this...
"There's no need to ntion that past anymore, none of us wanted that, look at the present, there's no need for an army anymore, no need to fight anymore, at least here, peace has beco eternal. We discuss history, talk about art, and with eternal life, we pursue spiritual fulfillnt, isn't that good? The old humans left behind many valuable things, art, philosophy, and their history… We've created a new world, but we won't erase the existence of childhood, you are the witness of old humanity, from now on, just live well with us, as the last of old humanity, live out your long life, Wilder." Ahab said.
"Kill …" Wilder said.
"Eh?" Ahab was stunned.
"Kill … I… I have no reason to live anymore…" Wilder lowered his head.
Radiant Sun had gotten what He wanted, the world headed towards destruction. At this mont, though Wilder hadn't read many books, mories of lessons from elentary school natural science class suddenly flashed in his mind...
"...Nature is beautiful and cruel, the relationship between species is a bare food chain relationship…"
The teacher's words echoed in his mind.
Humans failed in the struggle against the descendants of gods.
They beca extinct, this planet beca a paradise for the godly kin, Wilder looked towards the street, those burly, powerful thunder beings, reading and conversing like humans, but they don't need to eat or drink, possessing endless life, forever living in this intense radiation light…
What a tragic and magnificent scene…
The black great goat wandered the street, carrying wheat in its mouth, the passing godly kin affectionately pet its back.
In so buildings, many godly kin sat at tables, drinking coffee while discussing human history, so even held pen and paper, writing vigorously, seemingly in the guise of writers.
"Look, it's Baphot." Ahab looked towards the big black goat.
"Baphot!" she called out, and the black goat trotted over, rubbing its head against Ahab's chest.
"I still rember us wandering this street countless tis." Ahab said with a smile.
"Sotis, just standing on all fours feels pretty good." Baphot said.
Wilder sighed deeply.
Baphot glanced at Wilder, saying, "His mood seems not very good, low emotions can also affect the longevity of old humanity."
"He will slowly get used to it." Ahab said.
"I don't care about him, it's just that we have completed this amazing enterprise, but why… He still isn't the Nad One?" Baphot said.
"Baphot, this matter can't be rushed. Maybe, once He truly understands that world, there can be so progress." Ahab said.
"That dead world? His second holand? I really want to see it, but He doesn't take there." Baphot said.
"He has Zhao Ling and her godly progeny around him, it's just that His divine light has beco dim there… sotis I worry about Him, but that seems a bit redundant." Ahab said.
"No need to worry about Him, we are enjoying eternal glory here, co, Ahab, ride on my back once more! I'll take you around." Baphot said.
"You go yourself, I need to push him around and see." Ahab said.
"Alright, after 4 hours, so godly kin will gather in the South Square to conduct a large debate, if you're interested, we can et then." Baphot said.
With that, it trotted away.
"Don't wallow in self-pity, Wilder, I'll take you to see elsewhere." Ahab said with a smile.
Wilder looked at the wheat that fell on the dirt road, in a daze.
Ahab said, "These wheat weren't planted just for you, after all, although we don't need to eat or drink, we don't reject eating and drinking, beverages and food are also essential good things in life."
"Kill , Ahab, I don't need your treatnt and sympathy… if all of humanity is already extinct, then let go with them!" Wilder said hopelessly.
At this mont, a golden column of light descended from the sky, and the figure of Radiant Sun appeared within the light.
His form solidified, then the light column slowly faded.
He did not disguise as a human, maintaining his original shape, a giant body entirely black, a unicorn on his head, a red sky draped over his back, as if the sky was attached to his back, the intricate light halos like corridors made of light, ultimately all pointing to Him.
"Wilder!" His black face broke into a smile, four scarlet eyes emanating golden light.
"Radiant Sun…!" Wilder was taken aback.
He exerted all his strength, stood up from the wheelchair, feebly rushed towards Him, waving his skinny fists, hit Him.
Though nearly 2 ters tall, Wilder seed like a child before Radiant Sun… Radiant Sun knelt on one knee, hugged him, saying, "It's all over, Wilder, strive to live long, witness my great deeds!"
