Fujiwara Makoto had just entered the mysterious portal when the wound in her abdon stopped hurting.
The woman holding her wasn’t very strong; she only ran a few steps before she couldn’t keep it up and had to rest Fujiwara on the grass by the roadside.
Fujiwara propped herself up and inspected her wound. The bloody cavity of her belly was covered by her clothing, and she didn’t dare to look at it. Instead, she thought about conjuring so catgut and needles to stitch herself up, but when she reached out, the purple glow of her magic power didn’t appear.
Had her ability failed?!
She panicked a little and tried again to no avail. Then, she looked around and realized she was in an inexplicable place, with cliffs hanging over a sea of clouds. Far away, next to the plateau, a huge white object was lying there, amusing itself by flicking boulders like marbles.
"Who are you?!" Fujiwara demanded in Japanese.
The woman next to her didn’t get angry. Instead, she looked less composed than Fujiwara had expected and was herself quite shaken.
"My na is Lin Yan, I... I know you are Fujiwara Makoto, the Churi Witch who was taken back to his country by the Emperor years ago," Lin Yan said.
Fujiwara Makoto said, "...You recognize ? Do you know Wei..."
Before Fujiwara could finish, Lin Yan suddenly rushed up and covered her mouth, saying, "Don’t say his na!"
Fujiwara nodded.
Lin Yan let her go and checked her wounds. Fujiwara was scared and turned her head away, not daring to look.
"The injury is severe... Why did he attack you?" Lin Yan asked.
Fujiwara Makoto recalled and said with a bitter expression, "He’s not the man I knew anymore."
Lin Yan said, "He saved you, but now he has left you gravely injured and took your womb... What on earth is he trying to do?"
"How do you know so much? You seem very familiar with ," Fujiwara Makoto said warily.

"You!!" Fujiwara Makoto, recalling her ti in the culture tank, exclaid furiously, "You bitch!! It was you doing those biopsies on !!!"
She grabbed Lin Yan by the collar with a fierce look but couldn’t muster any strength in her lower body.
Lin Yan wasn’t annoyed and explained, "There is no concept of ti here, so your wounds won’t worsen or hurt, but that doesn’t an you can ignore them."
Although still furious, Fujiwara knew the situation was complex. It seed that Lin Yan had little to do with a regular researcher now, and besides, she had just saved her.
"Is this reality? Did you also inject Black dicine?" Fujiwara asked.
"No, it’s complicated. This isn’t reality. I didn’t take Black dicine, but I’ve gained superpowers because of it... It chose ," Lin Yan said, looking towards the white object in the distance.
"I don’t understand. You say it chose you?" Fujiwara Makoto shook her head.
"I don’t understand either, just as I don’t understand why you were born with superpowers. Perhaps so things in this world simply have no answers," Lin Yan said.
"I don’t know why you decided to save , but don’t think I can help you with anything. I won’t help you, especially after what you’ve done to ," Fujiwara said.
"I... I know, I can’t expect your forgiveness, but we can make a deal," Lin Yan said.
Fujiwara Makoto shook her head, "I have nothing to discuss with you. Even if you plan to imprison again, I won’t help you!"
Lin Yan said, "Your children are still in his hotel, right? You ran away by yourself. What do you think he will do to those malford kids when he gets back?"
Fujiwara Makoto felt a sharp pain in her heart.
"Just listen to , Fujiwara. We are facing a calamity, and it seems no one can stop him," Lin Yan said.

"There’s always a way," Lin Yan said.
"Why would you do this? Do you feel you’ve lived too long? Let the superpowers figure out a way. I don’t want to be involved in sothing tantamount to suicide," Fujiwara Makoto said.
"Have you ever wondered... why you were born with superpowers?" Lin Yan inquired.
"Maybe I was just lucky. No! It’s a curse! If given a choice, I’d rather be an ordinary person! Then I wouldn’t have been tied up to an operating table for dissection and bloodletting!" Fujiwara Makoto exclaid.
"Fate has chosen us, Fujiwara! Too much of one thing can lead to the opposite effect; perhaps, fate has chosen him as well. We must be aningful," Lin Yan said.
"I don’t care about aning; anyone who likes this shitty fate can have it... I don’t want to see him again..." Fujiwara Makoto shook her head.
"Fujiwara, I’ll help you rescue your children from the hotel, and you help deal with him. You don’t have to confront him directly, just cooperate with in the research. What do you say?" Lin Yan offered.
"Cooperate with your research? How much more do you want to cut off ?!" Fujiwara snapped angrily.
"No! It’s not like that. I won’t touch you again; I promise. What I an is, if you help , using the Foundation’s resources, we can find a way to dismantle him," Lin Yan said.
Fujiwara Makoto hesitated upon hearing this, but she didn’t imdiately agree. After all, she had spent a long ti with Wei Tianyang, who had saved her life. When they t in Libitelli, he wasn’t like he is now.
Fujiwara Makoto couldn’t accept the changes in Wei Tianyang; it was as if he had beco a different person overnight.
Though he had taken away her womb, it was not easy for her to oppose him so quickly.
"Fujiwara, think carefully. No matter what he was like in your eyes before, this is what he is now. He’s already hurt you; don’t give him another chance," Lin Yan said.
Fujiwara Makoto asked, "How sure are you that you can rescue those children from the hotel? Besides him, there are Yaha, Zhao Ling, and Rada Gan, plus a bunch of bodyguards. How will you deal with them?"
Lin Yan looked at the white object and said, "I can stop ti. When the ti cos, I can take those deford children from under their noses."
