Englist, Martyrs’ Cetery.
Leng Kai, dressed in formal attire, stood with Price in the ranks, silently watching as four flag-draped coffins were slowly placed into the pits in the ground.
Soap and Ghost had died, along with two other mbers of the special task force who had t with misfortune.
When the submarine struck the platform, the first mber died instantly, his body crushed in two, and when Wei Tianyang threw the other half of the platform into the sea a hundred ters away, the second mber was pressed down by the weight and sank into the ocean.
After everyone fell into the water, Leng Kai was knocked unconscious by the force of the collision; Wang Mingxue, with a broken right arm and left leg, found him in the water and dragged him to the surface.
Gates and Price were lucky to escape injury; they quickly found the assault boat, which had damaged its magnetic anchor in the shaking and thus did not sink with the column.
They had thought Wang Ye was dead too, but, while looking for survivors with a dinghy, they unexpectedly found him, unscathed and furiously treading water.
Wang Mingxue was now receiving treatnt at the Federation Hospital, while Gates had gone to the Council to report the situation.
As representatives of the United Council, Leng Kai and Price had co to Englist to attend the funeral of the special task force mbers.
They were all Englists and had served in the Royal Army before joining the Council, so naturally, they would be buried in their ho country after death.
The fleet had searched the area for a week before they were able to recover two bodies; Ghost and another mber’s bodies were lost, resulting in cenotaphs.
The priest was praying, their families were all bowing their heads in prayer, and Leng Kai and Price stood on the periphery, surrounded by officials who watched it all with indifference.
"Now they should know how dangerous He is," Leng Kai said.
"They’re still weighing their options; a failure of this magnitude changes nothing," Price said.
"What’s the situation with Grev? Shadow Company lost a submarine," Leng Kai said.
"That’s between him and the Federation," Price said.
The two of them were silent for a mont before slowly walking with the procession, circling the coffins, and dropping white roses.
"Rest in peace, you rascal," Price said.
Leng Kai also scattered a handful of earth.
anwhile, an ergency eting was convened at the United Council’s chamber, attended by spokespersons from 92 countries, naturally focusing on Wei Tianyang.
The acting Chairman Pence knocked his gavel, "Next, we will discuss... His matters, the tragedy that happened last week in Seychelles Waters, is an... intolerable disaster..."
"Not just the last week; there’s the disaster within Fileros, and those children who have been abducted by Him for a long ti! How much longer must we endure Him? We should take action as soon as possible, take all necessary asures!" a lady passionately argued.
After she spoke, she looked around, but no one responded to her.
"The Etolian spokesperson is not present," the Federation Spokesman said.
Everyone glanced at the empty seat.
"We all know, He is there," Pence said.
"Let’s be straightforward, everyone, no more beating around the bush, no more diplomatic rhetoric, how many of you here are still supporting Him behind the scenes?" the Federation Spokesman said.
As soon as this was said, there was a burst of whispering among many.
"Order! Order!" Pence knocked his gavel.
"You and the Council, aren’t you His biggest supporters?" a black spokesperson said.
"That’s an inappropriate thing to say, given that Etolia is now His kingdom. How do you explain that?" the Federation Spokesman said.
"I’m not one of the Etolians, don’t ask such stupid questions. Besides, due to His existence, Heisai State is suffering greatly. My holand was forced into signing an unequal mineral trade agreent with Etolia, and the mineral and rare earth resources of other Sheikhdoms have been plundered, right under the big sun, and I haven’t seen anyone talking about that," the black spokesperson said.
"He is currently researching a new type of Black dicine; the task force downloaded experintal data from their central server, and the number of dicine People used in the experints is horrifying," Pence said.
"The number of dicine People consud by other pharma companies is equally ’horrifying’, yet I don’t see you treating it with such gravity," a representative from a small East Continent nation said.
Delegates from West Soil countries laughed since East Continent people make up 60% of the world’s dicine People due to their large population.
"This kind of experint is inhumane..." Pence continued.
"Inhumane experints did not start with Him," the East Continent representative retorted.
"Order! Order!" Pence knocked his gavel.
"We demand access to His research data; such data is very dangerous and cannot be made public," the Federation Spokesman said.
"Why not disclose it? If He’s a disaster to the entire world, then all the world’s nations need to know what we are facing," the black spokesperson said.
"We don’t think that’s a reasonable option, this data must be controlled by the Federation," the Federation Spokesman said.
"What about Yin Country’s spokesperson? What do you think?" directed the small East Continent nation’s representative, while looking at the empty seat.
"Yin Country? Who knows what they are up to? I think they are now more mysterious than He is," the black spokesperson said.
Laughter rippled through the assembly.
"He is also a Yin Country person. Yin Country must take responsibility for this matter! I think they should compensate us for our losses and also Kadi Country that provided the drilling platform, and Etolia should pay as well," the Federation Spokesman said.
"Let’s not discuss the matter of compensation right now," Pence knocked his gavel and continued, "We need to pass a resolution..."
Everyone looked at Pence.
Pence picked up a docunt, "Etolia has provided Him sanctuary and brazenly bullied neighboring countries; we hope to isolate Etolia economically and militarily, cut off all access to Etolia, and exclude them from Heisai State so that we may research how to deal with Him."
Everyone nodded, especially the black spokesperson, who even started clapping.
"I suggest a nuclear strike on Etolia imdiately. The country has been corrupted by Him, all its citizens are His followers now," the black spokesperson added.
"We only have one chance to deal with Him. What if a nuclear attack doesn’t work? Which country would launch the nuclear missile?" Pence asked.
The black spokesperson was silent, bowing his head.
"Wait, let’s discuss another issue," soone said at that mont.
"Is there anything more urgent than Him?" Pence said.
Suddenly, he felt the voice was very familiar.
Looking up, he saw Wei Tianyang, dressed in a suit, leaning against the doorway of the chamber.
"I can make my research public, give it all to you. I have completed the first part, but I can’t wait, so I hope you will join in as well. I want nothing from you, only your population," Wei Tianyang said.
