Rada Gan handled so affairs for his shell corporations while settling transactions for human trafficking; then, he stood up and poured himself a glass of whisky and paced to the open-air balcony of his office.

It was the afternoon, and the sky was clear, with the temperature just right. For Heisai State, the weather today was quite pleasant.

He drank half the glass; the spicy liquid passed through his throat and seemingly cleared his mind.

He had seen the changes in Wei Tianyang. Since Yaha had awakened and Zhao Ling had grown limbs, Wei had started to beco radical.

It was as if he had had a revelation or had finally lifted so seals on himself. Wei Tianyang’s mind was now focused solely on achieving his goals, constantly talking about stars and evolution, saying that those were the most pressing matters at hand.

There are always so things that are more important than others.

Rada Gan decided not to question Wei Tianyang’s thoughts but chose to act as an executor, handling the tasks assigned to him.

He was looking forward to the New World.

As for why he was so fixated, in truth, it was quite easy to understand.

From the mont the Black dicine was injected into Rada Gan, the world had changed for him forever.

What people liked wasn’t the gold itself but what it represented: the power to exchange.

In ancient tis, humans bartered goods for goods; later, they invented a story called "currency." Once everyone believed in this story, money replaced goods, circulating among people to exchange for labor and commodities.

Accompanying this were speculators who neither produced anything nor took any risks but exploited the rules to extract money, enriching themselves and using it to control the world.

The Black dicine in Rada Gan’s body wasn’t created to generate endless wealth. On the contrary, it was designed to destroy the story of "currency."

Without this story, the financial system would collapse, and the forces that hid in the shadows and thrived on this system would crumble.

However, before this plan could be carried out, the research institutions and sources of power were secretly disposed of. As the sole survivor, Rada Gan had begun his escape.

When gold was no longer considered invaluable, people would seek sothing else to replace it. That required ti. Rada Gan wasn’t the one to undertake this mission, but he agreed with it.

Ironically, to build a world without "currency," a great deal of money was needed.

Wei Tianyang’s goal was to elevate humanity, to make them stronger and more advanced. Rada Gan didn’t know what that world would look like specifically, but after much thought, it seed it would simply result in widespread superpowers at most. A few million unfortunate souls might be transford into mindless devotees, but there was nothing to worry about.

In that world, not only currency but also the existing social systems of humanity would undergo significant changes. This was what he was anticipating; he would witness history, witness humanity’s advance into a new era.

Rada Gan finished the rest of his drink, took a deep breath, and gazed at the crowd below, feeling he was part of a particularly grand process.

"How fortunate I am—truly fortunate. You all... you all are as well." Raising his empty glass, he looked at the bustling heads on the street and the coming and going vehicles below. For a mont, he felt as though he was admiring an oil painting from the last century or a recording from hundreds of years ago.

But alas.

There is always a twist.

Rada Gan put down his glass, resting his hands on the balcony railing, his brows gradually furrowing.

But alas... why did Yaha have to regain his senses now?

It’s not that he despised the white-haired one, but... the timing was all wrong!

Rada Gan had no ill will toward Yaha. He only wished that this being, neither fully male nor fully female in spirit, would wake up after the New World had already been established, after he and Wei Tianyang reigned supre.

Then, he would definitely offer the sincerest congratulations and build a palace forged of gold for him.

But to wake up now?

What’s the difference from prematurely picking peaches?!!

The hotel was his undertaking, and so was the drilling platform!

He had spent years on these affairs, spending countless amounts of gold!

However, after Yaha woke up, he snatched away his hotel!

No, the hotel didn’t matter much, what Yaha took was sothing more important, the order of precedence in Wei Tianyang’s heart!

Before that, there was only him and Wei Tianyang, but now, Yaha and Zhao Ling had wedged themselves between the two!

Thinking of Zhao Ling, Rada Gan chuckled.

This woman was insignificant to them now.

She was no longer the Emperor, without any political power, and her body was mutilated beyond recognition, even if she could grow new limbs, recalling her previous appearance was nauseating!

Yet, she managed to climb into his bed, winning his trust with her filthy tactics.

The hotel had been given to Yaha, so, would Wei Tianyang give the drilling platform to Zhao Ling next?

Without these two things, what was left in his hands?

What use was he to Wei Tianyang?

Wei Tianyang didn’t need gold; he just needed to show up, make his demands, and they would all be satisfied.

Rada Gan was instantly overco with fear.

He trembled, holding an empty cup, and in a mont of rage, he smashed the cup onto the platform.

With a clatter, the cup shattered into glass fragnts.

"Are you also troubled so?"

At that mont, a voice echoed in his head. Rada Gan turned around to see Baphot standing beside the desk, watching him with those boxy pupils.

"Baphot, shouldn’t you be following Yaha?" Rada Gan said.

"?... I’ve been banished by him," Baphot communicated telepathically.

"What kind of banishnt is this?" Rada Gan said.

"Shh, don’t speak out loud, let’s... talk about this in more detail inside," Baphot suggested and instantly darted to Rada Gan’s side. Then, the two of them appeared together in objective reality.

Rada Gan took a few steps back, speaking sternly, "Whatever you’re planning, if it’s to harm Wei Tianyang, I’ll turn you into a statue right now!"

Baphot raised his goat’s head as if he were smiling, and via telepathy, he said, "You’re overthinking it, I would never betray Changjiao; what I want is to return to his side~"

"What do you an?!" Rada Gan demanded.

"You know as well as I do that since those two woke up, we’ve been marginalized. You did so much for him, and what was the result? Once Yaha woke up, the hotel was allocated to him. Just think about it, what will Zhao Ling receive?" Baphot said.

Rada Gan spoke vehently, "Are you trying to sow discord?"

"No, I’m rely stating my mind, all that I speak is indeed the truth, wasn’t the hotel given to Yaha? Our predicants are the sa now. I could easily follow Yaha and enjoy myself, but what about you? Who can you follow? Are you willing to follow Zhao Ling?" Baphot communicated telepathically.

Rada Gan wanted to retort, but he found himself unable to voice his objections.

It was possible!

After all, Zhao Ling had been the Emperor for more than a hundred years, ruling over the vast Yin Country... once the affairs related to the drilling platform matured, it was very possible that it would be assigned to her...

At that ti... would he, like Baphot, be demoted from a person at Wei Tianyang’s side to an assistant to Zhao Ling?

"Then wouldn’t I just beco a Quigui Ge..." Rada Gan thought to himself, secretly.
