Two weeks later.

Wei Tianyang took a walk in Felda National Park with his deceased mother. According to the season, it had been autumn for a while, but the temperature was still scorching hot, even soaring to 35 degrees at noon.

His mother, being deceased, did not fear high temperatures. Over the years, Wei Tianyang’s body had also beco less and less human-like; neither extre high nor low temperatures could change the temperature of his skin surface, let alone make him sweat. His own body temperature had long exceeded 90 degrees, but he controlled it so that the heat did not pass through his skin.

To outsiders, this strange man from Yin Country appeared odd, as he was alone yet laughing and talking, sotis gazing into the air as if listening, and at other tis pointing to a landscape and speaking to thin air.

Wei Tianyang and his mother stopped by a stone bridge to rest and talked about the past twenty years. Passersby gave him strange looks.

"Yang... they can’t see , and it must make you feel quite odd. Let’s go back and talk," his mother said.

Wei Tianyang smiled and replied, "They still live in a single dinsion and have stopped evolving. I used to say that Black dicine was a curse, but now, I have changed my perspective. Perhaps, I am fortunate. I have broken through the barriers of dinsions to et my departed relatives again. Let them scoff; I don’t care."

"I am also very grateful. I never knew what cos after death and dared not to think about it. I never imagined I could still et with you like this," his mother said with a smile and a downward glance.

"The disappearance of the flesh does not equate to the disappearance of the self. Those who abandon even their sense of self truly disappear. The sa is true for those dead soldiers. They may have been scoundrels, but as long as they have sothing they cling to in their hearts, they will continue to exist forever," Wei Tianyang stated.

"I am sorry for you, but there is nothing more I can do for you," his mother sighed.

"Simply being with is enough," said Wei Tianyang.

He leaned on the railing of the stone bridge, looking down at the green forest below, where the leaves, stirred by the hot wind and reflecting sunlight, ford an ocean of foliage.

At this mont, the voice of Helena Mina entered his mind; she prayed to him, informing him of Rada Gan’s return.

It seed that the preparations had been successful.

Wei Tianyang brought his mother across objective reality and returned to Pei Guode Hotel. At 3 p.m., Rada Gan, Helena Mina, and Wei Tianyang t in the hotel general manager’s office.

Helena was now one of them and there was no need to hide anything from her. Rada Gan had, through a shell company in the Seychelles Waters, procured the rights to two oil fields and had requisitioned the abandoned drilling platforms there.

Drilling for oil was no small business, and such projects were not given to any ordinary company. However, Rada Gan had turned the daughter of the President of Hida Port into gold and presented it to him.

The production of Black dicine and parts of the Heavenly Falling Objects’ corpses were no longer issues. Johnny’s inheritance was enough to start his own plans.

But this affair was going to attract a lot of attention. Mass deaths of dicine People—almost a certainty—as well as the large amounts of industrial water used, would alert the World Health Organization and environntal departnts since the developnt of Black dicine was always associated with widespread pollution.

Pharmaceutical companies backed by nations naturally had people to deal with the aftermath, and terrorists like Johnny relied on bribing the governnts of small countries to obtain exemptions.

Wei Tianyang could conceal the wastewater and corpses from objective reality, but the deaths of people couldn’t be hidden for too long. Only those abandoned by society were the ones whose lives and deaths would not be scrutinized.

"Where do the dicine People co from?" Rada Gan asked, sitting on a sofa and discussing the details with him.

Helena Mina sat opposite him, drinking tea in silence.

Wei Tianyang sat behind the manager’s desk, fidgeting with a revolver that Rada Gan had left in the drawer.

"Buy them," said Wei Tianyang.

"I figured as much, so I’ve been in touch with several prisons holding a large number of inmates early on. The issue is not the price but the fact that most countries are abolishing the death penalty now, and there are not many death-row inmates. They’d rather spend taxpayers’ money to feed millions of inmates than execute a few hundred thousand," Rada Gan said.

"The number of death-row inmates is too small; the whole world combined can’t even reach ten million in a year," Wei Tianyang shook his head.

"Ten million is not a small number, but as far as I know, the mortality rate of dicine People is nearly 99%. To produce a refined Black dicine, at least six experintal phases are required," Helena Mina added.

"How do you know so much? I thought you were just the chairman of the United Council. You couldn’t have worked in a pharmaceutical company, could you?" Rada Gan asked Helena Mina with a smile.

Helena shook her head and said, "The developnt and use of Black dicine is a major undertaking, an extre drain on resources. Without the tacit consent of the international community, such an anti-human business could not be carried out. I know how Black dicine is made and how many people will die. I helped conceal the truth to ensure the pharmaceutical company’s actions could pass resolutions in legal terms and at the sa ti..." Helena Mina paused as she noticed a look of anger on Rada Gan’s face.

Wei Tianyang made the revolver float in the air, then it automatically disassembled.

"Don’t be angry, Rada Gan. Helena is just the one who signs the papers. She isn’t the one who made the holes in our spines," he said.

"But... it’s pretty much the sa thing, isn’t it..." Rada Gan said.

"Think about it, we volunteered to lie on that operating table," Wei Tianyang said.

Rada Gan stood up and pulled out a bottle of whisky from the liquor cabinet.

"Buy the death-row inmates if you can, I an, purchase war refugees," Wei Tianyang suddenly changed the subject.

Rada Gan’s hand shook. He unscrewed the bottle cap, poured three glasses, and walked over to the office desk.

"War refugees? Doing this will expose us directly. Only pharmaceutical companies would spend money to buy large numbers of war refugees. There’s no way to hide this," Rada Gan said.

Wei Tianyang took a sip from his glass and said, "Of course, we don’t need to show our faces."

He looked at Helena Mina who smiled and nodded.

"In my ’followers,’ there are many businessn, Rada Gan. Our hotel is filled with scum, political refugees, exiled governnts, warlords... They will help buy," said Wei Tianyang.

"I’ll tell them how to do it. If there’s a problem, it won’t be traced back to us—at most, we lose a clan," Helena Mina said.

Rada Gan didn’t speak, rely glanced at Helena Mina and Wei Tianyang, and took a sip of his drink.

"I know you have concerns, but we are facing bigger problems. This is a necessary sacrifice," Wei Tianyang said.

"I understand..." Rada Gan said, lowering his head.

Helena Mina didn’t touch her whisky. She stood up and said, "I’ll go back to my room to gather them. It’s better for to handle this matter."

Wei Tianyang nodded and said, "I know an expert who specializes in these things. If you have any details that you don’t understand, you can ask ."

Helena Mina nodded and left the manager’s office.

Rada Gan put down his glass, clearly in low spirits.

"What’s wrong? Rada Gan, there’s discontent in your heart. I have rarely seen you like this before. Could I take it as a sign of betrayal?" Wei Tianyang said with so anger.

Rada Gan hurriedly explained, "I would never betray you... You saved . My life and the life I now have were both given to by you. I just thought that in the New World, there would only be people like us. Her... and those dicine People, I don’t understand."

Wei Tianyang sighed and said, "It won’t be just us."

"Surely we’re not going to take along the whole world?" Rada Gan asked.

"No. We are too few. There aren’t many special forces injected with Black dicine, and besides , you all need the antidote. Moreover, superpowers can’t be inherited through birth, but must be acquired by injection later in life. We, such people, can’t form a new race."

He stood up and continued, "Humanity needs to evolve. In the universe, there are already things eyeing this place. I want to move humanity forward a step. What I want is not superpowered soldiers, but superhumans."

He walked to the window and finally spoke slowly, "I don’t know how to do it, but I must act quickly... and this... will definitely result in many deaths."
