Three nights later.

Baphot stood in the middle of the room, tapping the floor twice with his hoof, and looked up at Wei Tianyang.

He was lying on the bed reading a thick book. He then turned over, got out of bed, and, clutching the book, ca over to Baphot.

"Look at that woman’s room," Baphot communicated telepathically.

Wei Tianyang’s pupils emitted a red light, seeing through the floor.

On the 17th floor in Helena Mina’s room, the eight individuals whom he had secretly transford into his kin were all gathered there.

Those people were arranged in two rows, prostrating themselves on the ground in front of Helena Mina, while she was also kneeling face-to-face with them on the floor.

Wei Tianyang was sowhat puzzled. How did these people get to Helena Mina’s room?! Had she invited them?

No, how could Helena Mina possibly know them?

Wei Tianyang could not figure it out, so he imdiately put on a blocker and left the room. After taking the elevator down to the 17th floor,

He had access to all the rooms in the hotel; the door locks would silently unlock if they detected his pheromones.

Wei Tianyang gently pushed the door open a bit and walked into the room.

Then, he saw Helena Mina’s face. It was not just because the indoor lighting was dim, but also because she had beco younger again. Anyway, the wrinkles on her face had decreased once more, and at first glance, she looked no different from a woman in her early fifties.

In such a short period of ti, Helena Mina had gone from a woman in her seventies, slowly back to her state around the year 2106, identical to the first ti he t her in his mory.

The eight people said nothing, kneeling on the ground; Helena Mina, standing erect, closed her eyes like in so kind of inscrutable ritual.

He stood aside, undecided about whether to show himself and ask for clarification, so he continued to observe closely.

Just when he was becoming sowhat impatient, Helena Mina suddenly opened her eyes and said softly, "All right, you may go now."

The eight individuals stood up, their faces streaming with tears. One of the businessn said, "Oh... When can we actually et him?"

"You may never get to see him with your own eyes, but you know in your hearts that he is real and that he has expectations for you," Helena Mina said.

"We believe. After hearing your voice, we are even more convinced. In you, we see his miracles," the businessman said.

"Go now, return to your holand, and carry out his will," Helena Mina instructed.

They knelt once more, bowing several tis toward her. Then, with dignity, they stood up, bowed deeply, and backed up to the door, opening it, and left the room.

Now, Helena Mina was the only one left in the room.

Wei Tianyang removed his -blocking shield. When he appeared, Helena Mina was startled, but she no longer behaved like the charlatan she had before. It was as if the Council President had returned in that mont.

He helped Helena Mina up from the floor and had her sit at the foot of the bed.

"They found their way into your room?" Wei Tianyang asked.

Helena Mina didn’t ask why he suddenly appeared in the room, nor did she ask if he recognized those eight people.

Wei Tianyang looked into her eyes, eyes so docile with a trace of servility, or an innate fear, as if suppressed by sothing more fundantal, akin to bloodline or DNA, rather than the typical relationship between a master and a slave.

Baphot too, appeared in the room. It wasn’t fond of crowds, but this occasion was sowhat different.

"I don’t recognize them, but they can hear , and I can sense them," Helena Mina said.

"Sensing?" Wei Tianyang asked.

"It’s hard to explain," Helena Mina continued, "as if suddenly I have eight more progeny... or eight brothers. I know they are here, but I can’t picture what they look like, nor do I know their exact location. I tried calling out to them, told them I was in this room, so they ca tonight."

Baphot moved closer, its snout nearly touching Helena Mina’s face, its black striped pupils sizing up the woman before it.

"Your brood is strange indeed. I’ve never seen anything like it," transmitted Baphot.

"Is this condition good or bad?" Wei Tianyang asked.

"It’s a kind of... defect? I’m not sure. A brood can share senses, but yours seem flawed. You transford nine people; this woman was the first, so she can sense the existence of the other eight. However, she cannot share their sight or hearing and must speak to have them co to her physically," Baphot explained.

Wei Tianyang squatted down to check Helena Mina’s eyes, which occasionally shone red like his, but the glow was an unstable, intermittent flicker, sotis lasting longer, sotis shorter.

"Helena, can you hear ?" Wei Tianyang asked.

"I can," Helena Mina responded.

"No, I an when I am not here. I was earlier at the United Council Headquarters and conveyed a ssage to you, and you rose to et with ," he said.

Shaking her head, Helena Mina replied, "I can feel your emotions and will. I just knew you wanted to see up there, but what you said, I do not know."

"Ah, indeed there is a defect," Baphot exhaled.

"The word defect does not sound flattering, Baphot," Wei Tianyang noted.

"Look, look at this. Your brood doesn’t have superpowers. They understand your intent but cannot hear your voice from afar. Also, the first transcendent’s sensing abilities are inconsistent with the subsequent ones. Maybe there’s an upgrading process. After those eight spend ti like this woman has, perhaps... they’ll beco like her," Baphot suggested.

"Will she grow younger as she has, and the others too?" Wei Tianyang inquired.

"It depends on the situation with the others; perhaps humans are just this way. Not as straightforward as Lilith, who directly takes over bodies to create countless incarnations, each incarnation possessing all your abilities. Of course, that has downsides too—the more individuals, the weaker the ability. But from what I see of your strength, even with billions of incarnations, you’d still have considerable combat power," Baphot remarked.

"No, such a world would be too tragic, a world with only left... too tragic..." Wei Tianyang shook his head vehently.

Helena Mina’s current condition was becoming self-evident; she had entered a deeper phase, treating any oddity displayed by Wei Tianyang as natural, and even expectable. As Wei Tianyang’s first transcendent, she kept growing younger and gained the ability to perceive other transcendent beings. According to religious doctrines, she had beco the Holy Mother, the prophet, a worldly incarnation of the deity.

"In that case, why not turn all the presidents into transcendent beings? That would save a lot of effort, wouldn’t it?" Baphot suggested.

"Political groups aren’t decided by a single person. But converting a group... that would be madness. By doing so, I’d be brainwashing the global elite, and then... I would beco the Shadow Governnt," Wei Tianyang stated.

"No, you would beco a god," Baphot said.
