Although the taser’s prongs hooked onto Helena Mina’s exposed neck from her business attire, the electric current seed to have no effect on her.

She grabbed the conducting wire and yanked it off her body, not knowing what to say and acting solely on instinct.

The secretary dared not approach her anymore; he kept retreating and ran out of the eting hall.

More agents rushed in, those stationed at the periphery were equipped with automatic rifles, cautiously aiming their guns at Helena Mina, waiting for further instructions on their next move.

The caraman had fled, but the cara was still rolling. Helena Mina addressed the cara, "You cowards! You have never solved any problems! Now I’m telling you, we are facing an apocalypse! You must disclose all your Black dicine technology and share the resources of the Heavenly Falling Objects with everyone! Otherwise, we can only wait to die!"

Just as she was speaking to the cara, two agents charged at her, tackled her to the ground, then used handcuffs to bind her hands behind her back, pinning her down.

At this mont, Spencer was sitting in his office watching the television. Helena Mina’s speech was cut off midway during the live broadcast of the summit.

Yet, her unusual behavior had already caught Spencer’s attention.

Leona and Ezekiel were also in the office at the ti. The forr, after stepping down as the President of Prussia, had been serving as the chairman of the Human Connection Plan Foundation, while the latter, after acquiring the ability to foresee the future, had been acting as Spencer’s deputy.

They had also visited the Pei Guode Hotel a few tis in attempts to et Wei Tianyang but were repeatedly thwarted.

Later, Spencer learned from his intelligence network that Helena Mina was under Wei Tianyang’s protection and had been seen entering and exiting the Pei Guode Hotel multiple tis.

This made him quite dissatisfied and puzzled.

Only today did Spencer begin to piece things together.

Like him, Helena Mina had grown old, a sensation of physical aging that Spencer was personally familiar with. However, during this ti, Helena Mina visibly grew 10 years younger, which was highly unusual.

Today’s dical aesthetics technology was highly advanced but had its limits.

Perhaps it was possible for soone aged 40 to look 20, but by no ans could soone in their 70s appear to be in their 50s.

Moreover, at the age of 70, people usually suffer from various mobility impairnts. Nowadays, Spencer preferred sitting in his office managing the foundation and company through AR technology, leaving the running around to the younger Leona.

The faint glow in Helena Mina’s eyes was clearly a sign of superpower, but Spencer did not believe she had injected Black dicine.

A politician had no need to go to such lengths, and besides Zhao Ling, no other significant figure would drill into their own spine.

Spencer furrowed his brows; then there was only one possibility left.

The Federation Congress was now controlled by several financial conglorates in partnership with Spencer; Old Bideng had passed away, and his successor, a new executive officer in his 40s, was completely obedient to them and lacked significant political ambition. After Old Bideng’s death, docunts related to Lilith had fallen into Spencer’s hands.

From those docunts, he learned that the living Heavenly Falling Objects had the ability to control people’s hearts.

--- The Kinship ---

Lilith had once caused a catastrophe in a certain state, leading to a massacre that left two police officers dead and turned the residents of two residential buildings into monsters.

Although he had not confird that Wei Tianyang possessed such abilities, given Helena Mina’s recent abnormal behavior, he strongly suspected that Wei Tianyang had this capability.

Spencer had lived long enough to be acutely aware of Helena Mina’s logic and style when dealing with people. During this period, the rare tis she appeared, she behaved like a completely different person, markedly in Wei Tianyang’s style.

This fact was hard not to raise suspicions.

Leona said at that mont, "Perhaps... maybe he is not the god we imagine him to be."

"Humans need a unified consciousness to reach the stars, not to discard their souls..." Spencer nodded in agreent.

"This is just a hypothesis, we still haven’t figured out why Helena underwent such a change," said Leona.

"We can get involved in this matter, operate a bit, and I hope to have the chance to dissect her—I want to know if her body cells have undergone changes. If she really has beco one of the Kin, if she really is his kin... we should be prepared to abandon him," Spencer said.

"I’ll handle it right away," Leona nodded and then she walked out of the office.

Ezekiel remained silent; Spencer turned to her and said, "Go ahead, speak. Tell about what you saw last night; the apocalyptic vision you foresaw might co sooner given Helena Mina’s abnormal speech today."

"I saw sothing more perplexing. I saw a group of people in a desert, heading towards a red tower... The group consisted of people of varying ages, genders, and skin colors, led by a woman in a white dress..." Ezekiel said.

"What do you think that ans?" Spencer asked.

"They are seeking harmony and peace. I do not feel fear in the group, only hope and sincerity," Ezekiel responded.

Spencer leaned back in his leather chair and closed his eyes.

He speculated that the scene was one of everyone being corrupted and attracted by sothing. They all had beco kin to sothing...

Was Helena Mina’s warning related to this? If this was instructed by Wei Tianyang, then surely, Wei Tianyang must have also seen sothing and was already preparing to counter it.

But Spencer could not imagine, with Wei Tianyang’s power, why he would let the world enter an apocalyptic state—had he failed?

"Spencer, I really want to et that Wei Tianyang; maybe, I could see more," Ezekiel stated.

"No," Spencer decisively refused.

"Why?" Ezekiel asked.

"He can peer into everyone’s thoughts and absorb the powers of all superpower users. You can’t hide your thoughts from him, and he... while I can’t say for certain he would do this, but if he decides to... killing you, taking your abilities, no one could stop him," Spencer said.

"But I feel, the risk is worth it," Ezekiel insisted.

"It’s not worth it at all. He may have deviated from my expectation, he may... no longer be the god I anticipated. Moreover, he might already possess so ability to bewitch people, we cannot approach him, we cannot pay that price," Spencer said.

He sighed deeply.

When a person of insufficient ntal strength and unpredictable temper obtained the power to destroy the world, the world would be turned upside down.
