What’s going on? Where did they go? The crucial thing is that all my teammates’ luggage is gone. Little Black even packed up everything in the room—bedding, toothbrushes, towels, even the slippers! It feels like they’ve all run off, leaving only behind.

Jing Shu glanced at her watch. There were still two hours until the agreed-upon ti for action. If there was a change in plans, why hadn’t they sent a ssage? If nothing had changed, weren’t these people supposed to be asleep? How co they’d taken their luggage and disappeared, while my own luggage is still here?

Fat Chicken was still comfortably dozing in its nest, as if nothing had happened.

Jing Shu hurriedly sent a ssage to Tan Ke. After a while, Tan Ke replied, "Sorry, I forgot about you. The plan has changed. Hurry to Cargo Ship No. 24."

Jing Shu blinked. Could this have sothing to do with my new ability, the one that made my presence so faint I was overlooked by allies and enemies alike? If it were enemies, that would be one thing, but allies... A bad feeling crept over .

Luckily, Fat Chicken was still very enthusiastic about her presence. It knew to act spoiled and hug her legs when its master returned, seeking praise and cuddles. Jing Shu tossed Fat Chicken its luggage. They each grabbed their own bags and quickly left the cruise ship.

The process went smoothly. Jing Shu took a yacht alone and found Cargo Ship No. 24. When a crew mber spotted her, she panicked for a mont. However, under inexplicable circumstances, she was pulled aboard. Just like that, they allowed her, an unfamiliar Asian woman, onto the huge cargo ship.

"Hey, Shan Zhi, what are you doing here? Why haven’t you thrown the dead slaves overboard yet?"

"Oh God, I think I just pulled soone up... but it’s like it never happened. What *did* I just do? I can’t even rember."

"Shan Zhi, are you dreaming? What nonsense are you talking about?"

"Team leader, I think I might have a fever. I was probably dreaming just now. How could I have pulled soone aboard? Yes, I must have been dreaming."

...

The cargo ship was massive, primarily transporting slaves for wealthy tycoons. Carrying her large luggage, Jing Shu released her Bees to act as her eyes and began searching for Tan Ke and the others.

For the first ti, Jing Shu truly appreciated being born in Huaxia, where at least there wasn’t racial discrimination like this. She’d long heard about racial discrimination in the United States—how white people faced no obstacles, while Black people had no status.

Jing Shu walked through the slave holding area. Black n, won, and children were segregated. So shivered and hid in cages, so were asleep, and so stared in one direction with numb, lifeless eyes.

White crew mbers, wielding whips or clubs, were assigning spots. They beat any slave who disobeyed. The noisy cargo ship was packed with slaves on all three levels. So had no cages and were forced to sleep on the cold deck, praying it wouldn’t rain or that they wouldn’t catch a cold. Otherwise, they faced being thrown into the sea or chopped up to feed the Dostic Poultry.

I also wondered how much food so many slaves would consu. Wouldn’t it be better not to bring them and instead grant them freedom? But according to Old Yang, firstly, it was to satisfy the demands of the Slave Kingdom’s tycoons. What would be the point of a slave-based city without slaves, or a King without subjects? Secondly, these slaves were like dosticated dogs, eating the tycoons’ leftovers. The wasted resources were more than enough for them to survive. And if that wasn’t enough, there was plenty of animal feed.

"Excuse , please step aside." Jing Shu pushed past a crew mber blocking her way, who was in the middle of berating a Black man. Carrying her enormous luggage, with Fat Chicken in tow, she squeezed through the narrow aisle.

The crew mber seed to blank out for a mont. After a short pause, he picked up his whip and resud punishing the Black man. Jing Shu felt like a passerby in this world, sowhat lonely and isolated.

I suddenly beca a bit afraid of my new ability. I felt as if the Magic Cube Space was trying to sever from this world... A sense of existence, especially to loved ones like family, is crucial. If my family forgot I existed, what would be the point of living in this world?

But I can’t generalize. For instance, Fat Chicken didn’t ignore . Does that an anyone who drank from the Spiritual Spring is immune? I need to observe this more. I’ve realized my new ability is a double-edged sword. It’s powerful, but it has its pros and cons. Figuring out how to use it effectively is sothing I need to consider carefully.

Eventually, she found Tan Ke and the others in the cargo ship’s control room. They were gathered around a map spread out before them. The Captain seed to be discussing sothing with them.

Suddenly, a wave of relief washed over Jing Shu. So the Captain is one of us? Does that an tonight’s plan will be easier to execute? Otherwise, it’s hard to believe how well-stocked even an individual like Pei Qi’s personal armory was, let alone the armories of so many others. If a tracking missile appeared, no matter how capable I am, I’d be finished if one was fired our way. If anyone targets , I’ll definitely fire a missile right back and fight them to the death!

It was only after Fat Chicken CLUCKED impatiently a few tis that her teammates finally noticed Jing Shu had arrived. The Captain looked puzzled. Tan Ke pointed at Jing Shu and said, "Xiao Zhang, she’s also a mber of our team for this operation. She is..."

Tan Ke paused, thinking for a mont, and then it struck him that he’d forgotten her na. After a bit, he continued, "She’s our team’s Assistant and our powerhouse." Then he turned to Jing Shu and said, "This is Brother Fa, our liaison assigned by Old Yang. He’s disguised as the previous Captain and has been undercover on this ship for over ten days."

Brother Fa was disguised as a typical bearded Arican man. The disguise was so convincing there were no apparent flaws. Jing Shu herself had initially believed he was genuinely a foreigner.

Brother Fa, frowning, asked, "I sent soone to bring them up just now. How did you get here?"

"? I walked over."

"No one stopped you?"

"Nope..."

Are the crew mbers really this irresponsible these days? Brother Fa was speechless for a mont before finally saying, "Since you’re with Old Yang’s team, I won’t press the issue. Let’s get straight to the plan."

Everyone held their breath, and the control room fell silent.

"This convoy consists of cargo ships numbered 1 to 44, all carrying various supplies. Ships 1 through 23 are loaded with goods like rice and flour. From ship number 24 onwards, the cargo is slaves, oil, and so on. Old Yang is responsible for ships 1 to 23. He’ll turn them around at Kolusa, take the Williams route directly to the Grand Canal, and then head back to Huaxia. We, on Cargo Ship No. 24, will lead the subsequent ships, along with forces from the Underground Black Market and the city’s powerful figures, continuing onward from Kolusa."

"Old Yang’s group faces greater danger. In the entire convoy, only Ship No. 1 has our people; the other twenty-two ships are controlled by the enemy. They’ll have to make it to Williams before they receive support and can be considered safe."
