I rubbed my belly as I finished eating my food.
"Do you like the food, Misha?"
She stared at and nodded. "It's delicious."
There's so leftover on her cheek so I picked it using my index finger.
"I'm so full, isn't the food here the best?" hrad said as he leaned on his chair and gazed at both of us.
"Yeah, it is," I replied.
"Are you 2 planning to stay here for good?"
"That's my initial plan, but it still depends. If I want to stay here, I need to find a sustainable job first."
"There are very few jobs available in this place, in order to strive here, you need to be at least tough enough to survive, especially that business owners are wary of the newcors, which is understandable. If you want a proper job and you think that you are strong enough to fight, there are so that I can recomnd, being a faction leader's security personnel is one of the profitable jobs here, or you can go to the second faction and apply as a rcenary. That's a decent job as well if I must say." He covered his mouth as he used a toothpick.
I exhaled. "Is it just or do the jobs in this place always involve fighting shits to death or being part of a shady syndicate?"
He removed his hand on his face and revealed his gentle smile. "Welco to the lawless town of Agrona."
But our discussion was interrupted when a sudden commotion occurred inside the restaurant.
"Mister, please don't cause any violence in this establishnt." The blonde cat girl waitress pleaded to the person who was responsible for the loud banging noises that disrupted the restaurant.
However, rather than stopping, the culprit flipped the table, throwing everything in it.
"What do you an don't cause any violence? This place isn't called a lawless town for nothing right? There are no rules in this place! I will do whatever I please." He stood up revealing his appearance while flexing his muscular arms.
His entire body consists of a body of an ox except for his muscular human-like arms and hands, he's walking using his 2 feet. A gray towering beastkin with a threatening deep voice.
A freaking Minotaur!
"Mister, please stop the commotion, you're scaring the custors."
"Of course they will get scared, fitting of weaklings that they are. Tomorrow, this place will be mine after I crush the titular faction leader of this place. But for now." The Minotaur grabbed the waitress's waists and pushed her towards him. "You'll play with tonight."
The Minotaur laughed along with the other 7 Minotaurs sitting on the corner.
It seems, he got companions to back him up.
This looks like a very bad situation.
"Another troubleso newbie." hrad shook his head as he stood up. "It would be great if all the visitors coming here are just like the 2 of you."
He left us and walked towards the commotion.
Misha stared at with visible concern on her face.
I patted her head and just smiled.
"Mister, is there a problem?" hrad approached the Minotaur with a gentle and collected smile on his face.
"Forgive us, Master hrad, we couldn't resolve it right away." Said the other waitress.
hrad just raised his hand. "Don't worry about it."
The Minotaur imdiately approached hrad. "And who are you, little foxy? Do you want to get hurt?"
hrad chuckled. "No, no, I don't. May I ask you a little favor, fine sir? Would you mind letting her go? That kind of inappropriate act is prohibited in this town, especially when that beautiful lady doesn't consent to it."
"What do you an prohibited? This is a lawless town, isn't it? There shouldn't be such things as prohibited in this town." The Minotaur said while raising his arm and holding the waitress in the other hand.
"I hate to disappoint you, but this lawless town isn't actually lawless. Every faction has rules that we need to conform to because those rules are directly given by the faction leaders. If you can't respect the rules, I'll kindly ask you to leave this faction's territory."
The Minotaur let the waitress go and leaned towards hrad. "Huh? Are you ssing with , little foxy? Do you want to start with you?"
The other 7 Minotaurs stood up and surrounded him.
That really is bad news.
I was about to stand up when...
"It's either you will leave this place on your own accord, or you'll never get out of this place alive. For the last ti, I'm asking you to leave." hrad's voice still sounded gentle but there's sothing in it that instantly sent a chill down right in my spine.
The irritation erged on the Minotaur's face as he violently breathed out. "Don't ss with !"
The Minotaur hurled his muscular arms towards hrad, and the next thing we heard was a loud sound of sothing getting smashed to the floor.
What we saw next was the horrified face of the 7 Minotaur looking at their comrade lying on the floor with his head completely crushed.
It transpired very quickly, but I saw it happen. He completely annihilated the Minotaur in just one punch.
Without using a skill. Just pure physical strength.
Without a doubt, this guy is freaking strong!
The 7 Minotaurs imdiately walked back with great fear in their eyes. One of them actually fell on his knees while shivering.
"Now, if you don't mind, kind gentlen, I'm asking you again to quietly leave this place, and please bring this kind gentleman with you, his fine body will hinder the waitresses if he's in the way. Thank you very much."
As if a switch was pushed, the 7 Minotaurs imdiately moved and dragged the corpse of their comrade out of the restaurant with pure terror written all over their faces.
After the Minotaurs left, the entire place remained silent.
hrad chuckled while scratching the back of his head. "Forgive the commotion I made, I hope I didn't disturb you all."
The crowd greeted him with cheering and roars.
The waitress held by the Minotaur earlier repeatedly bowed her head. "Forgive us that you need to settle this yourself, Master hrad."
"As I said earlier, don't worry about it."
