"...," Denas said in silence for a mont after watching the changes in the little elves, "If it weren’t for the fact that your aura hasn’t fallen, the elf race might have to trouble you."
After naturally absorbing a strand of Life Force released by Zheng Yichen, the wings and eyes of these little elves turned pale red, and the grass-leaf clothes on their bodies also changed from green leaves to red leaves.
This reminded him of Tanshia Firlo, but the white dragon had gained extra colors because of Zheng Yichen. These little elves were now undergoing peculiar changes, too. Though red was now a part of their appearance, everything still appeared normal and the changes weren’t limited to their exteriors.
These little elves "evolved."
That was what surprised Denas the most. Normal Life Force wouldn’t cause such transformations in little elves. Even the Life Force of a True God would either cause them to explode or twist into a different existence.
And if the amount of Life Force was too little, it wouldn’t cause any substantial change in the little elves, not to ntion that they are little elves and not so Life Force-absorbing demons; they don’t need to absorb external Life Force.
They did so this ti, ultimately because the Life Force Zheng Yichen provided could induce such changes in them, attracting these little elves.
Not long after, an elf female wearing a wreath arrived at the place. Zheng Yichen imdiately recognized that her headdress and the bracelet on his injured hand were of the sa design.
The visitor didn’t seem surprised by the changes in the little elves fluttering around the treehouse. She simply caught one of them and gently pinched its wings. Amid the tiny laughter elicited by the little elf, she also smiled.
"My na is Reyasti. In the common tongue of the foreigners, that ans Elven Holy Maiden."
Zheng Yichen’s expression remained unchanged, but he thought to himself... It really was just as Du Gang said. As long as one is powerful enough, one will always et special mbers of the opposite sex. First co those who are rely attractive vases, followed by those attractive and capable individuals, and after that, mbers of the opposite sex who continue to grow stronger in these aspects.
"You have caused these children to undergo so changes, allowing them to break free from their original constraints. They will beco new little elves."
"Constraints?" Zheng Yichen didn’t feel that his Life Force was that special. He had provided very little, coupled with his innate Life type ability; he could assess that part of Life Force wouldn’t cause any mutation in these little elves.
"They will beco guardians of the elf tree."
Zheng Yichen looked towards Denas. Weren’t these little elves already guardians?
Denas coughed lightly and spoke, "These little elves... are more like mascots. They are a crystallization of natural forces emitted by the elf tree, sowhat similar to elental beings, but unlike those energy-bodied elental lives, little elves are associated with the fruits of the elf tree, which is why they have a physical form."
The Golden Dragon Tribe leader, a dragon well-versed in many things, casually explained Zheng Yichen’s doubts. However, he, too, had his own perplexities. They were mascots, alright. With the elf race as its guardians, the elf tree wouldn’t need these little elves to act as guardians.
What was happening with them then? Or was it that Zheng Yichen had undergone so sort of mutation during his trip to the Great World, thereby causing these changes in the little elves?
"So you’re saying that if I provide enough Life Force, I can cause all the little elves to change like this?"
"It won’t work," Reyasti said, softly shaking her head. "Their changes are with the help of the elf tree, not sothing all little elves can do."
Zheng Yichen took a little elf that no longer feared him and looked into its red eyes. Confronted with Zheng Yichen’s gaze, the little elf showed a radiant small face. Zheng Yichen noticed nothing—after all, such little elves were too weak: "Is it similar to Tanshia Firlo’s transformation?"
