Normal space rifts didn’t scare them much, but now a gigantic fissure had appeared in the sky within their sight, covering even the horizon, and densely packed space fragnts filled the area like a sandstorm.
Two Boundary Breakers emitted a clinking sound, their protective gear swiftly penetrated by the space-fragnt storm, yet it wasn’t those fragnts that killed them—it was Zheng Yichen in pursuit.
His bloodsucking ability only functioned in close combat. At dium to long distances, enemies would often be pulverized by his attacks, leaving nothing left to even suck blood from.
The space fragnts that filled the environnt had little effect on him; his gear could fend off the influence of space fragnts and spatial turbulence.
This allowed him to move freely in this chaotic environnt, which wasn’t as easy for others, and it provided Zheng Yichen the opportunity to execute these Boundary Breakers at close range.
After dealing with these two Boundary Breakers, the remaining ones had already fled to a distant area.
In the eyes of those Boundary Breakers, they were moving in a straight line, but through Zheng Yichen’s eyes, they were rely circling along the edge of the broken sky.
The grand space fracture caused spatial turbulence to pervade the environnt, rendering concepts like sense of direction and distance rather aningless under the broken sky.
Zheng Yichen could still pursue them at close range, but once they distanced themselves, he could only watch, as the proximity could instantly change to distance under the influence of the spatial turbulence.
Even though he was moving towards his target, the disordered space wouldn’t allow a direct advance, and might even turn into moving backward or sideways.
With the help of the Apocalypse Stone Ring, Zheng Yichen approached Du Gang, whose aura looked unstable, his body covered in dense white marks as if on the verge of being breached. It was only after Zheng Yichen ca close and the surrounding spatial turbulence stabilized considerably that Du Gang finally took a long breath of relief.
"You’re just in ti; I would have died if you were any later."
"Your Vajra Body isn’t that weak, is it?"
"...Is this spatial turbulence? This is a spatial sandstorm!" Du Gang widened his eyes and pointed at the swirling spatial turbulence storm around them, filled with densely packed twinkling points of light, all reflecting the ’light’ from the massive amount of shattered space fragnts.
In the spatial turbulence, the natural correction force of space was weak. The space fragnts that appeared wouldn’t quickly evaporate but would continue to exist, mixing with the spatial turbulence, colliding and breaking into even smaller, sharper pieces.
Even the smallest space fragnt possessed lethal power, but in normal conditions, finer space fragnts were less sustainable, vanishing almost instantly once they reached a certain diminutive scale.
Even if soone touched them, they wouldn’t feel anything, as their evaporation rate exceeded the speed of causing damage upon contact.
But here, it was different. The tiny space fragnts didn’t evaporate but, as they beca smaller, exhibited even greater lethal power. The tiniest fragnts could directly cut molecules, and one could only imagine the feeling of coming into contact with such minute pieces in this environnt.
"I didn’t expect this."
Du Gang assertively said, "You would have done it anyway if you had thought of it, right?"
"Yeah, I would have." Zheng Yichen grinned, "At least we don’t feel that sense of being targeted now."
"But how do we get out?" Du Gang rubbed his body, the white marks difficult to disappear anyti soon, and even with the Vajra Body deactivated, it would take ti to fully recover.
In his eyes, the sole brightness on the horizon had completely vanished. They were still on the Great World’s soil, but their surroundings had been twisted by the collapsed sky spewing forth spatial turbulence.
This disrupted their view of distant objects.
Things in the distance were actually normal, but under the influence of spatial turbulence, the feedback of the scene was severely distorted by the turbulent space, twisted and contorted, even affecting the light, so when they looked toward the distance, they saw nothing beyond the broken sky except endless darkness.
"Now no one can interfere with our journey to Hell."
"Oh, right!" Du Gang, enlightened, nodded and watched Zheng Yichen directly create a Gate of Hell with a fishing rod.
He glanced at the sky displaying endless darkness and grinned, "I must say, this feeling of wreaking havoc in the Great World is quite thrilling. Are you really not a special existence conjured by Dusk?"
"...Dusk isn’t that idle, is he?" Zheng Yichen retorted, noting that while Dusk’s power could create a particularly formidable being, Dusk seemingly had no reason to do so.
"Then, you really are a rookie?"
"That is true."
Zheng Yichen said before stepping through the Gate of Hell next to him.
Inside Hell, Du Gang temporarily deactivated the Vajra Body and returned to normal, examining his body, "This ti I really need to adjust myself properly. I didn’t expect not to be breached by the enemy but almost breached by your created storm."
"How long will it take?"
Du Gang pondered briefly, "At least three hours, otherwise my Vajra Body will remain flawed."
"Then let’s rest here for three hours." Zheng Yichen didn’t say much more; he too needed a break. Frequent use of the Demonic Abyss Seven Kills greatly drained his spirit, and with Oblivion, although not directly enhanced as before, combined with Earth Devouring used so many tis, his body was starting to falter.
Three hours would be just enough to recover, and then they would continue the battle. He didn’t believe that after demonstrating his current fighting strength, the Boundary Breaking Faction would simply ignore him because of fear.
This was the enemy’s stronghold, where battles could escalate from fighting the weak to bringing in stronger foes, and after cutting down the old, even older ones might appear.
