"I wonder what the effects of a tamorphosed body are. It wouldn’t turn soone into a cloud, would it?" Zheng Yichen clapped his hands together, signaling to Lilith to dissipate the projection room she was maintaining, and he quickly located Du Gang’s whereabouts.
He was still getting the hang of Burst Mode and its uses. Zheng Yichen watched Du Gang produce fla-like energy with Burst Mode, his expression slightly odd, mainly because of the color issue. When he used Burst Mode, it was blood-red. The initial phase for the gorilla using it was a mbrane of distorted air.
With the increase of his strength, that kind of mbrane wouldn’t appear unless he was in a lower level world, where it would still look like a mbrane; otherwise, activating it would result in fla-like energy flas.
His were red, the color of blood, while Du Gang’s was more of a bronze hue. Zheng Yichen guessed that once Du Gang fully activated his Vajra Body and turned into a glimring Little Golden Man, his Burst Mode energy flas would beco golden.
So, should he recomnd him to grow a tail too?
The change in color made Zheng Yichen wonder if it had anything to do with Dusk’s enhancent. Considering weapon manufacturing and strengthening, one could see the uniqueness of Dusk—capabilities like perfecting enhancers with biological materials.
So, did Du Gang’s appearance beco more suitable because of this?
What about his own?
Seeing that Du Gang’s practice wasn’t over, Zheng Yichen, still puzzled, went to find Tia.
"Your own power is naturally suited to you, there’s no difference from Dusk’s enhancent."
"...Then what about the color? Why does his look like an impressive gold, while mine cos off as a demon’s blood-red?"
Zheng Yichen droned on about this disparity. When it ca down to it, bursting onto the scene with his blood-colored energy flas, exuding an intense aura of oppression, he’d likely make both parties feel he’s not the good guy coming to help but rather a passing demon ready to slaughter them all.
That kind of image would inevitably evoke a ’Russian-style counterterrorism’ stereotype.
But if the energy flas were glittering gold, then the pressure would only make those being helped feel that this was the presence a true boss should have.
Color is an important aspect of external representation.
"Becoming a demon isn’t hard for you," Tia said unfazed by Zheng Yichen’s complaints, calmly stating a fact: "Dusk doesn’t refuse demons unless they aim to destroy the world itself."
If destroying the world... Depending on the type, even if it was an extinction-level decimation of the surface, Dusk wouldn’t care. After all, scrubbing the surface clean is just like washing the dish nad World with a strong detergent; as long as the dish itself remains intact, it’s fine.
"Hey, you make it sound like being a demon is better?"
Tia nodded. "In terms of efficiency in handling tasks, a demon-type existence is superior."
"That’s because they’re unscrupulous; who knows when they might decide to completely destroy the world."
"A Dusk rcenary might, but a Proxy Agent wouldn’t."
"...So you’ve got Proxy Agents figured out, huh?" Zheng Yichen clicked his tongue.
He went to find Du Gang for a sparring session.
One with Vajra Body just ntioned, and the other with Burst Mode, the two brawny guys exchanged blows, made their final preparations, and also let the local Wild Ancient natives gain a better understanding of the outsiders’ strength.
"Hahaha, I initially thought my energy mbrane would be red too, but I didn’t expect Dusk to possess its unique charm. I like this color!" Du Gang laughed heartily.
"Have you never used body strengthening before?" Zheng Yichen asked curiously.
Du Gang shook his head, "Body enhancent is done for greater augntation, but once you visit other worlds and experience higher intensity environnts, the speed at which my Vajra Body improved was so rapid that such enhancents beca unnecessary.
Moreover, once the body’s strength increases, certain enhancents that used to be cheap beco very expensive."
"Hmm?" Du Gang’s words made Zheng Yichen quickly consult with Tia. His Unity with Celestial Being Enhancent still required 490 rit points with no changes. He learned that was only the case for body enhancent; Unity with Celestial Being is also considered an enhancent, but it’s a state-based enhancent that is different from those that directly strengthen the body.
An ordinary person who has undergone the Unity with Celestial Being Enhancent will still have the physique of an ordinary person; they would still die when they’re supposed to at age 99. However, such a person could live unaffected by any external harm until 99, assuming they don’t ss things up for themselves.
Zheng Yichen had never undergone a body enhancent and knew little about this area. It’s probably similar to weapon and equipnt enhancent.
When weapons and equipnt are ordinary, certain enhancents might not even cost rit points; just paying with money is enough. But once their quality increases, even a simple strengthening, such as adding a twig, requires rit points.
It’s the sa with people; enhancents only get more expensive, never cheaper, sothing akin to the damned settings in online gas. But unlike those gas, enhancent in Dusk does not fail.
Once you give the items and spend the money, as long as there’s no problem with your combination, success is assured. If there’s an issue with the combination, it might succeed but result in an enhancent turning into a weakening instead.
"Do you have anything else to prepare? If not, let’s go." Having made his final preparations, Du Gang found Zheng Yichen, "I’m worried that any more delays could bring new complications."
He didn’t rule out the possibility that this place had spies from the Boundary Breaking Faction. The Boundary Breaking Faction didn’t even need to reveal their identity to cultivate spies.
Since he had returned here, it was very likely that the people from the Great World were aware he was still alive.
What was to be faced next was a head-on conflict. He also worried that dragging things out would involve the Morning Light Tribe, not a high probability, but not impossible.
As long as they showed sufficient pressure on their end, the Morning Light Tribe, on the other hand, would beco safer.
And afterward? Leaving a Storage Cabinet connection for Chun Xi ant he could co to this world at any ti. If the Morning Light Tribe encountered trouble, he had the power to solve it, as long as there was no presence of the Boundary Breaking Faction; this world would be wonderful.
On the way, Du Gang emphasized so of the findings from his previous investigations. This world was a trap world prepared by the Great World, mainly targeting Proxy Agents. He had ntioned this to Zheng Yichen before, but there were still details to be added.
"As a trap world, it ans the Great World on the other side can forcibly break the boundary at any ti. Moreover, cultural reasons in this world have allowed the Boundary Breaking Faction to train a lot of high-end combat forces.
The military array formation is just one of the thods they’ve shown... And just that one thod has left with no recourse."
Du Gang said with a sigh. It wasn’t that he wasn’t capable enough; rather, the individual strength of the Wild Ancient natives in this world was too high, to the point where not just a Proxy Agent like him, but even a God Descender in person from the Great World would be killed—and even more swiftly than him.
And he had torn apart God Descenders with his own hands before.
As for whether the Great World was in danger of breeding a threat by empowering the natives... other worlds might be, but with so many tribes in this world, it was difficult for people to unite, making this possibility quite low.
Even if the tribes trained by the Boundary Breaking Faction later realized their mistake, what then?
By the ti they realized their mistake, this world would be dood anyway. Faced with the spatial turmoil caused by the collapse of the entire world’s barrier, no matter how formidable individual Wild Ancient natives were, none would likely survive. Even relying on the effects of the military array formation to endure wouldn’t work; while so might survive, what could the survivors do?
Nothing.
For a world designed to trap Proxy Agents, this was perfect. Du Gang had thought about this seriously; the ti he had successfully delayed the strength of the Breakworld might also have been deliberately arranged by them, and they might even use the sa strategy after they achieve new results.
A world destined to break, while also trapping several or even more Proxy Agents? That was profiting too much.
