No one could guarantee that a True God wouldn’t leave a trap within their leftover Godhead after death. Other True Gods could eliminate it, but the strength and ability of a Demigod were insufficient.
"I’m really curious about where the difference between gods and humans actually lies."
"The difference? I have a few drops of Divine Blood here, no more ti to preserve..."
Zheng Yichen’s words were cut off by the ardently passionate researcher, whose zeal typically focused on research within her area of expertise. At this mont, however, she directed that passion entirely onto Zheng Yichen.
Blood of a True God... This item’s allure was enough for her, driven by a researcher’s will, to instantly regain her strength.
As a modern-day researcher and a true Godslayer right beside her, Ahn Ke had no "respect" for divine beings.
Not to ntion the dead gods, who, in life, were suprely glorious True Gods, now left only a sample of their blood for her to study. Even the two witches ended up getting involved.
"Why don’t you rest first? We can wait," Eileena suggested to the sowhat weary Ahn Ke. They’d both undergone Dragon Blood Refining Body, choosing different types of Dragon Blood which varied in enhancing effects, but the differences weren’t significant.
Ahn Ke was clearly exhausted now.
"No, I can’t wait." Ahn Ke shook her head. Her enthusiasm hadn’t been worn down by fighting alongside Zheng Yichen all night; rather, it had grown stronger over ti. Upon obtaining the Divine Blood, she imdiately went to the workshop to start her research.
The workshop she used to admire now seed hardly adequate for the materials she was researching.
"Let’s be cautious. This is Divine Blood from a Death type True God," Eileena warned Ahn Ke, as the oldest among the Forest Witches, she was more cautious.
"...Alright, let’s start in the afternoon then." Ahn Ke remained silent for a mont then stored the Divine Blood away. This substance was indeed dangerous. The True God might be dead, but the Divine Blood still retained the power of the True God, and the scent of death was slowly seeping through the container.
Once the container was opened, the effects would only amplify. Researching this substance in a poor ntal state was indeed very dangerous, even though the study of Divine Blood could be broken down to an individual red blood cell level.
"What does a Godhead look like? Let see," asked Klakauska from Dusk Cathedral. He had originally planned to go on a Twilight Mission after Zheng Yichen’s battle, but he hadn’t expected Zheng Yichen to successfully slay a god.
He had even obtained a fragnt of the True God’s Shattered Godhead, which made him change his mind and decide to check out that remarkable item first.
"Here you go." Zheng Yichen directly pulled out a fragnt of the Godhead, a Death type Godhead. This item had many benefits. Even if used as an ornant, it allowed the user to enhance their Power of Death, and any related Death type power would also significantly increase.
Holding this item, he even felt that by consuming it, he could truly beco a god—albeit a god of this world. In other worlds, it might not have the sa value, but it was still better than the Supre Demons of Liu Hongzhao’s world. Those Supre Demons were too heavily linked to their world, such that they would lose their immortality once they left their native world.
A Godhead didn’t have such a huge flaw, but it was essentially like a plug-and-play enhancent chip in the world. In this world, it belonged to the original manufacturer’s production, perfectly matching this world and even capable of networking to enhance performance. In other worlds, it was just compatible operation, unable to connect to a network.
Of course, as an enhancent chip, its performance was evident here. Even with compatible operation, it was highly effective in functionality.
So Zheng Yichen wasn’t too keen on becoming a god, as it seed that all the god-like beings he had encountered from the past to the present were very strong in their native worlds, but once they left those worlds, they were all more or less affected.
Thus, he felt it was better to maintain the status quo; at least by maintaining it, he wouldn’t be severely cut down in any environnt.
As for shattered Godhead, one part of him considered whether he could exchange it for sothing better, while the other part planned to use it as enhancent material...
Since his fishing rod had already turned out this way, becoming a bit more evil didn’t really matter as long as it was useful.
"...This is Godhead." Klakauska held it like a red-hot branding iron, cautiously looking around. After receiving this thing, he felt that aside from the Dusk nuns and Zheng Yichen, everyone around him seed unfriendly, all wanting to snatch the object from his hands.
"Godhead, this aura, ah...it’s addictive." Klakauska quickly tossed the object to Zheng Yichen, nearly being ’tempted’ by it.
The Death type Godhead, even shattered, wasn’t sothing ordinary beings could touch. This thing involved death; without sufficient strength and unyielding will, one might beco dominated by it, or lured towards death.
What common people thought about shattered Godhead leading to godhood...they were just thinking too much. Without special talents or treasures for protection, obtaining it would an doom.
Just like Divine Blood, a drop of Divine Blood could permanently change an ordinary person, twisting them into another being, making the distorted individual believe they were a resurrection of a True God, when in reality it was rely the influence of the information contained within the Divine Blood.
Even the information contained in Divine Blood could completely twist a person’s ego, making them unwaveringly believe certain things, thus seeming mad.
"It’s a pity the Dragon Tribe has no Demigod of the Death Type; otherwise, relying on this thing could directly elevate one to True Godhood," Klakauska was sure of this point. Anyway, the Death type Godhead was more than he could handle; Demigod Dragons with mismatched attributes would only seem forced, unable to fully utilize it.
Yet, this was Godhead. Even if one forcibly beca a True God using it, that still made one a God, transcending the existence of Demigods. Bottom of the barrel? Others didn’t even have that chance!
A more extre use would be to thoroughly cleanse the shattered Godhead, but this would only allow a small part of the Godhead’s power to be retained.
But then, the Godhead would beco pure, not allowing a Demigod to instantly beco a True God, yet allowing a Demigod a smooth path towards True Godhood, with sufficient accumulation of strength.
"The Dragon Tribe wants a piece of shattered Godhead to enact that True Dragon Exposition," Klakauska told Zheng Yichen about the Dragon Tribe’s intentions. The Dragon Tribe truly needed it; the True Dragon Exposition they brought back from the alien world had already been partially researched by their tribe in this world.
To them, that thing seed very unique, the transformation of a carp leaping through the Dragon Gate into a True Dragon and so on... well, they weren’t well-placed to judge, mainly because the dragon species differed, and the dragons from there were vastly different from the dragons here.
To put it crudely, even insultingly, the dragons from there viewed the ones here as winged giant lizards, while the dragons here thought of the ones there as snakes with legs...
Although both had scales, such a structure deviated completely, making the saying about the carp leaping through the Dragon Gate sothing they’d just look at. Trying to replicate it would be better achieved by finding a couple of pleasing giant lizards, and attempting bloodline implantation, which might be faster.
However, this matter used as a reference took on a different aning; the transformation from carp to dragon was an elevation in the level of lifeforms, like a giant lizard evolving into a giant dragon. Even if they sowhat resembled each other, the huge difference in life-form levels ant that it was impossible for the thing to evolve into a giant dragon.
Yet the True Dragon Exposition brought such a possibility, though that was about it; no matter how much they evolved, the endpoint of evolution was rely the starting point for the Dragon Tribe.
The Dragon Tribe valued this knowledge for the subsequent elevation in life-form levels, a brand-new path. Quoting so sayings from Klakauska’s experienced world, this was achieving godhood through the physical body, combined with the knowledge of this world, the ideal situation being, although not a god without Godhead, one could possess a True God’s complete resistance, and resistance to True God’s powers.
