Zheng Yichen had always heavily invested in his equipnt, and whenever he upgraded, it was a comprehensive enhancent. At the Dusk Cathedral, the requirents for the first piece of equipnt to be upgraded were quite high, but subsequent additions would significantly lower the usage of rit points.
Zheng Yichen had complained about this before, ntioning that enhancing equipnt here also required a slting fee. This made him upgrade his equipnt comprehensively each ti, as an individual upgrade would skyrocket the consumption of rit points to over fifty.
As for the surprises this enhancent might bring, you truly get what you pay for. Zheng Yichen’s weapons and equipnt, having been enhanced with over two hundred rit points as a foundation, were already of high quality. During further enhancents, most of the added expenditure was based on retaining the equipnt’s performance while adding extra attributes.
In simple terms, it was like adding magic without qualitative change. The current consumption would clearly allow his weapons and equipnt to receive a new upgrade or change, making it seem expensive, while at other tis, it would cost at most two or three rit points.
The core energy crystal of the God Simulation Engine gave Zheng Yichen a familiar feeling, sowhat reminiscent of the Sky Pillar, but at the sa ti, it gave an indescribable sensation compared to the Sky Pillar. Nevertheless, he knew it was a good thing!
Regarding whether this item could be countered, Zheng Yichen had asked Tia. Tia told her that there were many types of counterasures. If he enhanced the Fire type aspects, then they were susceptible to being countered by Water or Ice types.
There is no such thing as absolute power. Even the air mbrane produced by Zheng Yichen’s Burst Mode could be directly penetrated by a Demon Communication Curse.
...
"What is this?" Chiang Wei looked at a securely sealed box. This box was made from an unknown material, see-through, and had an instruction manual attached to it, detailing a simple thod for unlocking it, just enter the password.
The password was so simple it was almost negligent: six zeros in a row.
After reading the instruction manual, a slight twitch appeared in the corner of Chiang Wei’s eye, and then she called over her assistant.
"Wenwen, we have so good stuff again. Let’s have our people study it. Oh, and this ti it seems to be dangerous, so rember to take proper safety precautions during the research."
Chiang Wei was interested in the contents of the box, but she was even more interested in electronic devices. During previous exchanges, Zheng Yichen had provided so electronics from another world, which had led her to a frenzy of intense experiences.
Having learned much newer technology, she was already a top hacker in this world and, after acquiring even more high-end tech, there was almost no networked place her hacking couldn’t penetrate unless physically disconnected.
She could achieve such a level but still maintained the corresponding ’low profile,’ since being too explicit about certain matters could lead to trouble. She definitely didn’t want to spend her life in an environnt completely devoid of any networks.
The items were taken away under ard escort, and two hours later, Chiang Wei received a ssage about the results of the research into the items Zheng Yichen had sent this ti. Although the ti was too short for in-depth research, it was sufficient for nearby research departnts to perform an assessnt.
That dark red crystal was filled with an incredible power. Their world’s ’Red Star Rock’ was no match at all, even though the knowledge supported by Zheng Yichen allowed for a higher level use of Red Star Rock.
That type of material could even be used as a special enhancent stone for humans, but it ca with severe side effects. Typically, it was used by the Dusk rcenaries of their world as a last-ditch effort to save their lives, and once back at the Dusk side, they could be healed back to normality by Dusk treatnts.
"So what’s the use of sending this ssage, when I don’t understand any of this?" Chiang Wei muttered, her eyes widening as she read the following information: "What the heck? A matchmaking advisory group? Do I need this??"
She slightly curled her lips, deciding that sacrificing her personal happiness in exchange for the better developnt of their world was... baloney. Put simply, the items provided by Zheng Yichen were too good, making them feel incapable of offering anything of comparable value or a technology that might be of use to him, which was not a good sign.
Giving tit for tat doesn’t fit their situation with Zheng Yichen, but if things continued this way, their world might completely sever ties with that Proxy Agent. They were rapidly advancing their technology, yet the growth rate on Zheng Yichen’s side was even faster.
Therefore, they needed to find more solid ways to maintain their relationship.
As for the tickets, there was no need to worry. Many Dusk rcenaries had been selected from their world, accumulating a significant number of rit points. No one else was qualified to use them, but Chiang Wei was.
And Chiang Wei felt... did the other side need her?
She only had an extraordinary talent in the field of networking, but away from the network, she was only a chanic with decent skills, not nearly as gifted as her hacking skills demonstrated. Create artificial intelligence?
The births of Lilith and Doris involved a lot of coincidences, and even if their codes were copied, it wouldn’t necessarily produce the sa artificial intelligence.
"I might as well spend my ti researching that substance instead of playing all these mind gas; who knows, I might co up with sothing that interests him," Chiang Wei muttered to herself, believing the enhanced stone technology in her world to be quite impressive.
As long as one could withstand the energy of the Red Star Rock, even an ordinary person could enter a ’Nuclear Burst’ state, where one could dismantle a Gundam with their bare flesh—no need for a crematorium afterward, as their fate would be scattering in the wind.
Would it work to replace the Red Star Rock with this substance?
"I never learned how to charm n."
Chiang Wei propped her chin in her hand and tossed her cell phone aside, continuing to focus on her unfinished business. The computer technology in the world of the Firmant Wheel had much to offer that was worth her learning.
She was more interested in visiting the world of the Firmant Wheel and gaining a closer understanding of it, as opposed to being sponsored by the local Dusk rcenary with a travel ticket to find Zheng Yichen.
There was also the Firmant Wheel program that had been compromised by the Boundary Breaker—maybe she could try to hack that underlying authority.
In the world of the Firmant Wheel, one of the top nine bases of the Wise Dragon accepted an urgent task to analyze a special material sent by the Proxy Agent, sourced from the Great World—giving people of this world a deeper insight into the other side.
There wasn’t much of the material, but it was enough for research purposes, allowing for extended studies. Through subsequent research, the Wise Dragon Base concluded that the dark red crystals could be used to upgrade existing star core batteries.
Not only would this improve the performance of the star core batteries, but it would also change their energy properties, making them more influential. According to analysis by the Wise Dragons, with this influence, they would no longer feel helpless against the Devouring Sky Pillar!
However, the amount of the dark red crystal was limited. After strict calculations and setting aside the portion needed for other research, they could produce at most two upgraded star core batteries. Even with the upgrade, it wasn’t enough to fully power the Firmant Wheel—a minimum of fifteen units was required.
Compared to the previous configuration of twenty-four star core batteries, reducing the expert requirent to fifteen was already a significant leap in the special ’battery’s’ performance.
Of course, if they had enough of the material, the native scientific research departnt was confident they could further reduce the number needed to fully power the star core batteries, compressing it to between ten and twelve units.
"This substance was kindly sponsored to us by the Proxy Agent. To obtain more of the sa type of material, we must offer a more valuable technological product," a group of influential individuals from their respective fields lanted in the research departnt’s conference room.
The small piece of dark red crystal, according to Zheng Yichen’s instruction manual, was dismantled from a God Simulation Engine, but he was unsure of its na. Therefore, they temporarily dubbed it ’God’s Core.’
"The problem is that we are willing to give him the Firmant Wheel, but he can’t take it with him unless there is a breakthrough in spatial compression technology," another person rubbed their forehead. It was fortunate that the technology in this world was advanced enough to rejuvenate dead hair follicles.
Otherwise, at least half of the people present would have been bald, and the rest would have pulled their hair out in worry over the current situation.
The construction of the Firmant Wheel nearly drained all planetary resources in their world. The subsequent issues still required the Firmant Wheel’s maintenance, yet they were willing to give Zheng Yichen one of the remaining precious Firmant Wheels; a few more could be acceptable.
But the biggest problem was what they were discussing: the Firmant Wheel was colossal enough to envelop a city. Even if the Dusk Cathedral were expanded by thousands of tis, it couldn’t fit that thing, let alone be taken away by Zheng Yichen.
Taking the Firmant Wheel with them would only be possible with a breakthrough in spatial technology, be it spatial compression or spatial folding; either could ’shrink’ the size of the Firmant Wheel.
Paired with Anti-Gravity Technology, theoretically, the reduced size could allow soone to wear the device as a ring on their hand.
But such technological breakthroughs are challenging!
After so modifications, the Firmant Wheel could induce a spatial distortion at its center. This distortion, once adjusted, could even warp into a special ’passage’ that, when tuned to the correct frequency, would connect with other Firmant Wheels and allow for teleportation akin to ’magic.’
These were the limits of what their world could currently achieve. This technology had only recently been developed, mainly for the purpose of off-world mining, and its special connection was limited in range. Even further advancents are unlikely to break out of the constraints of their ’sun system.’
Though this was indeed a major breakthrough, overcoming the zero barrier, the level they envisioned was still very far away. If a continuous stream of geniuses were produced with endless bursts of inspiration, it might be possible to make short-term breakthroughs, but even then, it wouldn’t be achieved in just a few months.
