"Is it this sturdy?" Zheng Yichen was shocked to see his own palm bleeding from the rebound damage. The Army Decimating battle saber’s cutting force field combined with the spatial distortion, his Burst Mode, and Blood Sacrifice Burst had failed to blast through the protective layer, which was quite outrageous.
It was impossible for him to operate this thing with technique, so he would just have to use even stronger attacks!
He took a deep breath.
The blood in Zheng Yichen’s body began to heat up and evaporate. Through Blood Combustion Transform to Origin, the consud blood erupted with even greater power like high-pressure steam.
The crimson slash struck down on the town’s protection, adding a substantial blood-colored trace from the cut that montarily paused the intense battles elsewhere. Whether it was the Dusk rcenaries or the Boundary Breakers, they stared in astonishnt at the shattered defense.
The protective barrier that had been untouchable for the Dusk rcenaries was now so easily broken?
Well, it only looked easy. If it were truly simple to break, they wouldn’t have been held up until now.
"The opportunity has co, charge!"
So Dusk rcenaries imdiately escaped the combat and rushed into the town. The damage to the town’s protection was extensive, and fragnts like shards of glass still floated everywhere in the air.
The Oath Keepers associated with the Boundary Breaking Faction desperately tried to block them. So truly didn’t want to resist, but bound by their Oaths, they were compelled to do so; failing to stop the rcenaries ant death.
One of the formidable Boundary Breakers who were fighting other Dusk rcenaries was also taken aback, his gaze filled with surprise as he looked at that remaining bloody slash. One of them swiftly caught the sa look of bewildernt on his opponent’s face.
He suddenly realized sothing, "It’s the Proxy Agent, don’t wait any longer, use the ultimate weapon."
"Don’t think about escaping!" Seeing the two Boundary Breakers trying to leave, the two Dusk rcenaries imdiately intercepted them. They also realized the Proxy Agent had entered the fray and, of course, they could not let such powerful foes escape.
Although they were reluctant to see the arrival of the Proxy Agent, he was already here, so they aid to secure at least a baseline advantage.
They held nothing back and launched their full power. The strength they had reserved was ant to eventually break through the town’s defenses, but that was no longer necessary – it was ti to eliminate the two Boundary Breakers!
These two Boundary Breakers were also very powerful, and defeating them would yield additional rit points.
After a brief pause, the battle intensified even more.
Inside the town, the mont Zheng Yichen entered, he felt sothing was off. It was incredibly oppressive here, not only suppressing power but also exerting imnse suppression on life itself. So of the Dusk rcenaries hadn’t even had the chance to do anything before they lost their ability to fight.
"..." Are you guys this useless?
Zheng Yichen’s eyes twitched slightly. Although the ones who lost their fighting ability directly were the weaker rcenaries, the rest of the Dusk rcenaries were still okay, but their fighting ability was impacted.
This unknown suppression even affected Zheng Yichen, directly acting on his lifeform level, reducing his condition by... let’s say, 10%.
For him, this level of impact was quite significant. The Great World always had new tricks up their sleeves. Scanning his surroundings, Zheng Yichen saw many civilians within the town.
He was prepared and took out a magic tool. The radiance emitted by this item penetrated the buildings and ford a layer of protective film over the ordinary people. His thermal vision and Life Perception let him distinguish between ordinary people and those hiding their strength.
This served as protection but also as a special kind of marker.
As for the effect that suppressed lifeform levels, he currently had no better solution and had to withstand it with his own resilience.
However, the Boundary Breakers seed unaffected in such an environnt. To counter this, Zheng Yichen activated the Eye Pupil of Life, and under this giant eye’s gaze, the Dusk rcenaries felt a special enhancent.
The Dusk rcenaries here were all veterans, and once they realized they had been strengthened, they quickly understood the ’principle’ behind this enhancent. The more intense their fighting spirit, the more noticeable the boost beca.
"An enhancent to Life Force, huh... But does this Life Force feel a bit fake?" One of the Dusk rcenaries swung out a vine that imdiately coiled around a closing Boundary Breaker. Despite the latter’s struggle, the vine demonstrated formidable vitality.
Soon, the sound of bones breaking could be heard.
Even a sowhat fake Life Force could be used for casting spells, and as this Life Force increased, their resistance to the environntal suppression of their lifeform level also improved.
Yet, so realized that this enhancent had a relatively lower effect on calr individuals, while those whose emotions could be easily stirred up showed greater Life Force when their emotions erupted more powerfully.
Moreover, the fighting Dusk rcenaries wisely avoided the ordinary people protected by the shield. This device originated from the Proxy Agent’s hand; attacking those civilians would be like slapping the Proxy Agent’s face.
As long as those people don’t take action, it’s fine. Oh, so are itching to take action, but the Dusk rcenaries discovered that these light shields are bidirectional; external attacks can’t break through, nor can attacks from within.
Even those who secretly carry weapons and try to shoot find it futile.
"No wonder he’s a big shot, so cautious!" a Dusk rcenary gasped with so difficulty. The environntal Life Suppression was speeding up his stamina consumption during the fight. Normally capable of taking down ten Boundary Breakers, he now felt exhausted dealing with just two or three.
Even with the enhancent of Fervent Blood Life through the Eye Pupil of Life, without such an enhancent, handling one or two would have likely worn him out completely.
"Since that’s the case, then I’ll just do a..."
"Wait, don’t go into a rampage yet. This special kind of life force enhancent needs a positive emotional outburst for a significant boost," his comrade hurriedly stopped him as the Dusk rcenary contemplated using so hidden techniques.
"Other powerhouses have analyzed and found that your rampage tends towards a murderous frenzy; using it would only make things worse."
"What the fuck? Does this ability need to co with truth, goodness, and beauty?" The Dusk rcenary planning to rampage was taken aback.
"Um, it probably has sothing to do with that big eyeball. Despite its unsavory appearance, its aura is undeniably that of a benevolent and lawful entity."
"... So what do I do?"
"How about trying to fight with the thought of saving those civilians? If we can’t resolve the battle quickly, the Boundary Breaking Faction will surely detonate other weapons of destruction."
"... I have no personal connection to the people in this world; I also won’t see those killed by a detonated weapon. You want to have a positive outburst of righteous anger over that? Why not ask to have an even stronger positive emotional surge to protect the world?!"
The Dusk rcenary’s comrade erected a magic shield to block incoming attacks and, after a mont’s thought, said, "That could work too."
"Or you could let those young ones over there give it a try... Uh." While speaking, the Dusk rcenary glanced at two young Dusk rcenaries who had gone into Burst Mode nearby, and suddenly paused, "Is it really that powerful?"
The two young Dusk rcenaries were radiating intense life force, with a certain enhancent that significantly reduced the effect of Life Suppression. Each of their strikes created powerful impacts, leaving him staring in astonishnt.
"In fact, that thing contains Divinity, and this special life force boost is sowhat idealistic. You tell , is that strong or what?"
"Youth is wonderful." The Dusk rcenary shook his head. An explosive outburst of positive emotions isn’t sothing that can be readily produced; after all, it’s truly difficult to deceive oneself if it’s not heartfelt.
"Actually, I do have a thod we could try."
"Then I’d rather rampage!" The Dusk rcenary spoke very decisively, guessing what the so-called thod involved—it must be a ntal spell, a kind of powerful self-hypnosis that convinced himself he was fighting to protect the world.
This too could work, possibly not as powerful as those genuinely heartfelt emotions, but it was still quite an effective approach.
"Let’s forget it. Sigh—let’s hurry up and find the ’Source of Boundary Breaking.’ I’m feeling very uneasy right now."
The warrior Dusk rcenary nodded in agreent, aware that his comrade practiced prophecy skills and related magic. While such magic couldn’t entirely predict the future, it had significantly improved his sixth sense. If he could learn it, he would have liked to practice this as well.
As a warrior, he knew full well the importance of a sixth sense.
"Let catch my breath first."
He looked at the sky, Zheng Yichen and the released Eye Pupil of Life had disappeared without a trace. While they were conversing, Zheng Yichen was also moving, and with better efficiency.
This directly forced out the hidden contingency plans of the Boundary Breakers, as Arrivers that had been in the Great World arrived.
Facing these Arrivers, Zheng Yichen didn’t give them a chance to react and directly swept away all the demonic thoughts from the battlefield, delivering a decisive blow with one saber strike.
The two Arrivers at the forefront set up their defenses but were engulfed by the Demonic Abyss Seven Kills. The remaining Arrivers scattered imdiately to avoid being annihilated by Zheng Yichen’s single strike, overwheld by the trendous power of the Demonic Abyss Seven Kills.
"Huh?" Zheng Yichen raised his eyebrows slightly. Among the Arrivers, he spotted a familiar figure wielding a silver-white light power. An acquaintance, indeed.
Watching them, Zheng Yichen’s empty hand conjured a tangible orb of light that quickly transford into black, shaping it into a spiked ball he threw. The spiked ball did not reach the Arriver wielding the silver-white light before being blasted away.
The Arriver’s expression was cold as they stared at Zheng Yichen. This was a provocation!
And with his head slightly tilted, eyes covered by Black Light, Zheng Yichen was provoking. Even if he defeated the Arrivers from the Great World here, he couldn’t kill them for good, but since they had co, they might as well pay a price before returning.
