She told him about the feedback she’d received from dealing with those Oath Keepers. Qi Xiangyun explained, "Oath monsters are more interested in Oath Keepers. They have additional resistance to the powers of Oath Keepers and can even prevent so of their oaths from triggering."
"So reasonable? Too bad they’ve t us. Let’s go over and say hello," Zheng Yichen said.
As they approached the Oath monster, it suddenly charged in a rampage. As it rushed towards them, its body bizarrely swelled, and after nearing Zheng Yichen, it was flung away even faster.
Zheng Yichen shook his hands. This world’s power levels were not high, and the direct impression he got from physical confrontations was stiffness.
The skin of the Oath monster was like a titanium plate, but when it charged again, Zheng Yichen split its head open with his saber.
The titanium plate could not withstand the Army Decimating battle saber’s sharpness and the accompanying cutting force field. The black substance covering the blade sucked the Oath monster’s blood dry.
Zheng Yichen slightly raised his eyebrows. There was almost zero feedback; he was too strong now, and weaker beings couldn’t offer him any feedback, rely serving as blood bags.
However, within the subtle feedback, Zheng Yichen did gain a trace of special power.
"It seems... it works," he muttered.
"What is it, Brother Chang Qing?" Lin Yaoyao ca over to ask. They hadn’t worried that Zheng Yichen would have any trouble with the Oath monster.
One type should be the Oath-related power you ntioned, right? But it’s a bit chaotic.
Zheng Yichen rubbed his fingers. "The accumulation is a bit low. Let’s go find so new ones."
Oath monsters were not easy to find, but with Lilith’s ability to infiltrate networks and Zheng Yichen’s thermal vision, finding additional Oath monsters beca much easier under the dual enhancent.
These Oath monsters varied in strength, but they were all considered weak by Zheng Yichen. After he dealt with them, the feedback of extraordinary abilities beca clearer.
"It is indeed related to Oath Power, but it’s of opposite nature to what we’ve felt," Liu Hongzhao said, looking with so concern at the broken oaths appearing in Zheng Yichen’s eyes. "Brother Chang Qing, are you alright using this power?"
"No, I don’t even have a tangible sensation. Perhaps it’s because I have never made an oath myself," Zheng Yichen shook his head. The Counter-Oath Power did not give him any sensation of power, with no enhancents to his strength or constitution.
It seed like re special effects were added to him. Yet, its existence had a purpose; this power had no direct enhancent for him, but since it originated from Oath monsters, how about using this power against those Oath Keepers?
"It’s ti to look for those wanted Oath Keepers."
This was easier. Lilith, by infiltrating the network and digging up information, revealed a secret organization. The world’s technological defenses were like paper against Lilith, who as an AI, had its origins as a powerful electronic virus.
The secret organization was thoroughly exposed; it might not have been a major hidden organization, but it served well as a target. Moreover, while collecting information from the network, Lilith uncovered so individuals suspected of being Boundary Breakers, all of whom had been marked by Lilith.
That night, a city’s police station received an ergency call and arrived at a private establishnt, only to see a ss. A large amount of contraband was openly displayed, and a computer played incriminating information.
This information implicated many people, and that day, the city beca a hectic place.
A great cleanup had begun.
"Brother Chang Qing, do you often do this in other worlds too?" Liu Hongzhao asked. Zheng Yichen’s process was too practiced, obviously not his first ti.
"Ah~ Well, in unfamiliar places, we always need a way to get information. Targeting local dark evil forces is convenient; there’s no need to take responsibility, professionals clean up afterward, and I also get to feel out the local power."

The Oath marks in this world are black chains, whereas the Oath marks in Zheng Yichen’s eyes are white.
"Co to think of it, Brother Chang Qing’s eyes previously showed shattered Oath marks that were black," Qi Xiangyun said with so confusion, "Did these manifestations reverse once they appeared on Brother Chang Qing?"

"As long as the power doesn’t go wrong, I don’t get any boost from this power," Zheng Yichen said, clenching his fists. He could obtain Oath Power; it was confird from Oath monsters, who gave him Counter-Oath Power.
Against normal Oath Keepers, he would get the regular Oath Power, but such power seems to lack any attribute; it felt like sothing one could feel but had no practical enhancent for use, neither in boosting his own inherent strength nor improving his physique.
"Could it be because you haven’t made an Oath?" Liu Hongzhao speculated, "Oath monsters are what Oath Keepers beco after they break their Oath, and their Oath Power goes out of control, turning into monsters. Oath Keepers, on the other hand, have to make an Oath to gain power, otherwise, they are no different from ordinary people."
"That makes sense. Let try making an Oath..." As he spoke, Zheng Yichen felt the unhelpful Oath Power begin to stir, which felt to him like a blank piece of paper unfolding, onto which he could write his Oath.
"I’ll swear to protect your safety and ensure you grow up smoothly."
The Oath is established.
Zheng Yichen felt the previously inert Oath Power change, becoming active and providing him with a small boost, although this boost was negligible.
However, the Counter-Oath Power also changed correspondingly, gaining strength, but this strength was destructive in nature, capable of breaking established Oaths. Zheng Yichen sensed that this destructive Counter-Oath Power offered no protection to the user.
In other words, should he actually go through with such actions, he himself would have to bear so degree of backlash, and then the Counter-Oath Power would be further enhanced in that backlash.
Is this a form of Blood Sacrifice for Oaths? Trading blood for power by violating and destroying normal Oaths – Zheng Yichen thought to himself that this Counter-Oath Power is still better used on others, as long as he could get feedback from it.
Even though he could feel that the backlash from actively breaking an Oath was minimal.
"Let’s try out this power," he said.
Zheng Yichen told the three slightly blushing girls, testing it was simple: protecting them would suffice and that wasn’t hard, even if the princess was strong. But upon facing enemies, the princess could still be protected.
They found a new Oath monster, let the girls join the fight, and Zheng Yichen stepped in... The Oath Power was effective, but the results were diocre.
The power didn’t bring him direct enhancent, just a slight accumulation. And even after the fight was over, that accumulation didn’t dissipate, which led Zheng Yichen to contemplation. The Oath Power he obtained through his extraordinary abilities seed sowhat different from that used by people in this world.
He was strong enough already, the Oath Power seed like an embellishnt, even more so as he could use this power whenever he chose – if he didn’t want to use it, he wouldn’t.
This was not like the local Oath Keepers who, once eting the conditions of the Oath, would experience a power surge, leveling up from tier 5 to full in a transformation.
He didn’t have that sort of explosive boost; his exhibition of Oath Power was more an accumulation.
As long as he operated within the scope of the Oath, his power would continually accumulate until he utilized that portion of power, which seed usable even outside the limits of the Oath, albeit with only one-fifth of its effectiveness.
"It’s just like ," he mused.
