Of course, with so many people in the world, there are always a few whose minds aren’t quite right, those who want to betray. It all depends on what the people in this world think. If they could confirm so formidable traitors, Zheng Yichen wouldn’t mind working for free during his spare ti...
He didn’t have a player system, but when it ca to selecting tough targets, he wasn’t much different from players. As long as there was a boss to fight, and experience to gain, any quest rewards were just a bonus, the best part had already been given away.
Landen City.
Having returned here, Zheng Yichen didn’t rush to the Dusk Cathedral. He had stuff that could go through another round of enhancent. The treasures from the Dragon Tribe’s vault, as well as the rewards from outside the vault, were calculated separately.
The items taken from the vault were ones many Demigods and even True Gods didn’t possess, while the rewards from outside the vault could rely be obtained with money.
When he left, he managed to take a bunch of high-end materials from the Dragon Tribe Chamber of Comrce and the affiliated comrce chambers. These were sent directly to his room at the Dusk Cathedral which was two hundred square ters. If the space wasn’t enough, it could be expanded, but the ’maintenance fee’ would increase after expansion.
But the maintenance fee every ten years was just that, a one-ti thing.
To rush into enhancent would only draw more attention from the Dusk. They would directly assign him a new mission. As long as he got stronger, there would always be a Proxy Agent that he could supplant on certain missions, taking their place. Proxy Agents weren’t supposed to compete like that.
You should always let your predecessors or later generations exert their enthusiasm.
Klakauska said to Zheng Yichen, "I’m living right here at the Dragon Tribe Chamber of Comrce now. You can co find if you need anything. Just let know once you’ve made a decision."
Then he went to steal a dragon egg...
"No problem," Zheng Yichen said as he made his way to the Luminous Church. Perhaps due to the uniqueness of Landen City, the cathedral of the Luminous Church seed a tad less grand compared to the Dusk Cathedral.
After arriving here, Zheng Yichen rembered sothing, he didn’t know the nas of the two sisters.
"I’m here to see the Luminous Holy Maiden, could you help ?" Zheng Yichen said to the guards at the entrance of the church. The two guards, clad in fine armor, looked at Zheng Yichen expressionlessly; not everyone was aware of his identity as a Demigod killer.
These two guards treated Zheng Yichen as if he were just causing trouble, even though his tone was quite polite.
Naturally, not just anyone can co here to et the Luminous Holy Maiden; that would be far too simplistic. If Zheng Yichen were to make himself look more pathetic, missing an arm or a leg and brimming with resentnt, then perhaps he might have a chance to et the Luminous Holy Maiden.
First, they would inquire about the grievances of the person wailing before them.
However, Zheng Yichen was in one piece and looked quite normal, with no sign of curses. eting the Luminous Holy Maiden wouldn’t be so easy.
"You may go in and seek, but no loud disturbances or causing trouble," the guard said politely, tempered by Zheng Yichen’s serious attire and tone, while also subtly rejecting Zheng Yichen’s request.
The Luminous Church was not closed to outsiders, at least this branch wasn’t. If Zheng Yichen entered the cathedral and by chance found the Luminous Holy Maiden, then it would be considered a eting, as the Luminous Holy Maiden occasionally moved about inside the cathedral.
"Alright then," Zheng Yichen said as he entered the Luminous Church Cathedral under the watchful eyes of the guards. The atmosphere was sowhat more solemn here, unlike the Dusk side which was filled with a sense of relaxation and the gentle passage of ti that could make one forget the world.
The people here weren’t primarily resting; many were engaged in prayer. Prayers in this world were genuinely effective. True Gods didn’t need the power of faith to enhance their strength, but faith could serve as currency for True Gods or like a power bank.
Sincere prayers could generate high-quality faith power. Once True Gods received such power, they’d divert so of it back to their followers.
To Zheng Yichen, this seed like a kind of business.
"Hello, can I help you with anything?"
As Zheng Yichen was observing his surroundings, a nun dressed in the Luminous Church’s uniform approached, a faint smile on her face.
The nun felt a very beautiful aura from Zheng Yichen, a power of blessing that was related to the gray cloak he wore.
Zheng Yichen stood up from where he was sitting, "I’m looking for the Luminous Holy Maiden."
The nun said, "If it’s sothing important, I will pass it on."
"Does Chang Qing coming to see them count as important?"
"I’ll go and inform them right now!" The nun’s expression paused slightly before she hurriedly scampered off towards another place, which made Zheng Yichen blink in surprise. Probably because he had been in contact with dusk nuns for too long, seeing a normal nun swiftly change from a smiling expression to one of astonishnt was sowhat surprising to him.
Dusk nuns wouldn’t show such changes; they hardly ever wore smiles, wouldn’t be surprised, wouldn’t be moved, and any variations in their expression would always be within a tiny fraction.
There were four Luminous Holy Maidens at the Landen branch of the Luminous Church, and today, two more had arrived. This would not affect the stability here, for though the Luminous Holy Maidens were not related by blood, they shared a sisterhood with each other.
Therefore, Zheng Yichen was observed by six Luminous Holy Maidens.
He felt that the world’s Luminous Holy Maidens had a lot of free ti.
"It is so good that you could co, please co with us," said the senior Holy Maiden happily. Normally, it would be best if they went to find the person themselves, but Zheng Yichen’s status was sowhat sensitive, and the use of black reversal light might easily lead to many problems and misunderstandings.
It would not be quite appropriate for them to go to Zheng Yichen, rather, waiting for him to reply was more fitting. Zheng Yichen’s willingness to co here indicated that there would be a good start to their conversation.
In a reception room, Zheng Yichen looked at the Luminous Holy Maidens here. In a world with sufficient powerful forces, appearance was not an important criterion to judge age. However, one could make a guess based on their physique, and among the six Luminous Holy Maidens, one was particularly young.
"Are you all so idle?"
"Because this conversation is not intended to be very serious," smiled the senior Holy Maiden, "My na is Nelliwey Dawn Light, and she is my sister Nala Dawn Light."
Nelliwey introduced her sister, and then casually introduced the remaining four Luminous Holy Maidens.
"My na is Chang Qing," Zheng Yichen then added, "Alien worlder."
Except for Nelliwey, the other Holy Maidens were sowhat surprised, but they did not make a big fuss and seed quite receptive.
Nelliwey’s gaze landed on Zheng Yichen’s eyes and said, "The True God has already told about this, apostle of... Dusk."
"’Apostle’ isn’t quite fitting. I’m just a worker, a Proxy Agent is more like it, specifically dealing with matters that require Dusk’s intervention," Zheng Yichen waved his hand. In a world with True Gods, the title of ’apostle’ for most beings held a degree of glory.
Did he have that at Dusk’s side? Dusk didn’t care about glory, nor did Zheng Yichen. He was just a worker, one who would leave after finishing his business.
A Holy Maiden said, "How about I get so snacks?"
Nelliwey nodded, "That would be kind of you, Sister Alphis."
A few plates of exquisite snacks were brought in, and the actions of the Holy Maidens continuously conveyed that this conversation was not ant to be entirely serious; it was simply to confirm a few things.
Originally, that was the case. Nelliwey wanted to inquire about Zheng Yichen’s use of Light Elents, the impact of black reversal light was truly significant. For ordinary beings, it might be over just like that, but Zheng Yichen was even more powerful than a demigod, which ant that if he wanted to spread Black Light pollution, he could easily trigger widespread natural and man-made disasters.
However, her rhythm was sowhat disrupted after Zheng Yichen brought up Dusk’s matters first. Yet Nelliwey didn’t try to regain control of the conversation’s pace; instead, she flowed with the topics brought up by Zheng Yichen. From the information Zheng Yichen revealed, she learned more vital intelligence.
And the topic she initially wanted to discuss could be broached at any ti.
