Proxy Agents appearing ahead of schedule baffled Bazel, but since these troubleso beings had arrived, he had to be prepared with counterasures. They had devoted a vast amount of ti and heartblood to turn the City of Evil Spirits into this unique state.
This was also where Bazel’s confidence lay; it wasn’t certain that Proxy Agents could withstand the influence of the City of Evil Spirits. However, he wasn’t so complacent to rest easy on the city’s uniqueness, as the Dusk rcenaries sent by Dusk might all just be diocrities.
After all, the Dusk rcenaries had greater autonomy; Dusk wouldn’t force them to accept any assignnts. The Dusk rcenaries ca of their own volition, seeking benefits for themselves and, moreover, to take revenge on the Great World while they profited.
These were often individuals from worlds that had been hard by the Great World, worlds which mobilized universally, constantly producing highly competent Dusk rcenaries, and served as the main ’barracks’ for Dusk rcenaries.
"The Great World can help you perfect your plans," Bazel said to the muscular man in front of him, with a trace of a smile, "In fact, that being who brought forth the ’Rebellion God,’ as far as I know, is a Proxy Agent of Dusk. That is an extrely dangerous existence which has already thwarted many of our plans."
"Heh heh heh—upon closer inspection, it seems that your Great World isn’t all that dominant," the muscular man let out a sinister laugh, incongruent with his physique.
The smile on Bazel’s face remained unchanged, "Proxy Agents are beings personally chosen by Dusk. One doesn’t simply decide to beco a Proxy Agent; one has to be selected by Dusk. As Dusk’s trump card, the success rate in disrupting the Great World’s plans is naturally the highest."
He emphasized the strength and trouble Proxy Agents posed, but then his tone shifted, "However, the Great World’s plans succeed more often; and a Proxy Agent’s ga is over with just one failure. Out of ten attempts, the target for the Great World is to secure success seven or eight tis!
You wish to revive your Origin God, whereas for us, eliminating a Proxy Agent is an achievent that reaches the heavens. Proxy Agents are enemies to us Boundary Breakers, and the ’Rebellion God’ was their creation. Our purposes are completely aligned hence our enthusiasm for cooperation in this area."
"Hahahaha, that’s right, our purposes are indeed completely aligned," the muscular man grinned broadly, "You want the help of the Great Evil God? Then you must tear open a rift in Hell, welcoming the Descent of God!"
"That’s not a problem; isn’t the City of Evil Spirits prepared exactly for this mont?" Bazel smirked slightly. The intelligence, which the Evil Spirits considered well-concealed, was practically transparent under the study of the Great World’s research departnt.
Especially with the ergence of new technologies, these Boundary Breakers were able to communicate with the Great World more instantaneously and receive support; for certain particularly unique and difficult-to-analyze matters, they could now obtain remote analysis through such connections.
For Boundary Breakers, being able to independently handle a world was proof of competence, but the Great World prioritized success rates!
The rewards of risky gambits were indeed large, but if one miscalculated and had to flee back, facing scrutiny and being discovered would result in an even graver punishnt.
Originally, according to Bazel’s plan, the City of Evil Spirits was ant to ward off Proxy Agents, and if played well could turn a Proxy Agent into an enemy of the world, a shield absorbing bullets for the City of Evil Spirits. How precisely to operate depended on what kind of Proxy Agent they were dealing with.
If it was a killing maniac, they wouldn’t even need to guide them; the ard forces of this world would co together. Able to impose moral obligations? Even better. Not to say making them completely abandon their mission, but any delay would be worthwhile.
Now, the Evil Spirits had concocted sothing even more potent. Under the shared goal of depleting the City of Evil Spirits to acquire more useful combat forces, Bazel had nothing to hesitate about.
The power and benefits developed in this city?
Useless. The completion of the plan signified this world’s doom. Everything accumulated here would be pointless, except for so treasures collected which were also beneficial to the Boundary Breakers, all of which could be taken away when leaving.
"Do you truly believe your Great Evil God is invincible?" Bazel scoffed once the robust man had left with a promise, "The higher the environnt’s level, the more difficult it becos to reach the pinnacle of that world; indeed, in so high-level environnts, there might not be any true pinnacle powers at all."
Environntal Adjustnt could enhance an individual’s combat power, but beyond a certain level, the difficulty of further enhancents would beco increasingly outrageous.
The Evil Spirit fervently believed the Great Evil God was invincible within this world, but the environnt of this world paled in comparison to the Great World’s.
If the environnt’s pinnacle Great Evil God truly went to the Great World and underwent Environntal Adjustnt, it wouldn’t be able to reach the world’s pinnacle there. It probably wouldn’t even make it to the first-rate category, not to ntion failing to receive any further enhancent but potentially becoming weaker due to Environntal Adjustnt.
Such scenarios occurred either because of insufficient ’talent,’ or because the power of those beings was closely tied to their holand. Once they left their native lands, they lost that additional strength.
A lack of understanding made the indigenous Evil Spirits here quite—superstitious.
