"What on earth is going on here??" So diviners among the princes and nobility, upon facing the shattered statues, showed stunned expressions and couldn’t help but start divining, and so diviners who did so spat blood and imdiately died on the spot.
The rest who didn’t die no longer dared to perform related divinations; they had already realized that an era of monuntal change had arrived.
The Dusk of the Supre Demon had co!
Such news did not stay hidden for long and quickly spread out, prompting so ambitious princes to start new sches.
It used to be that the Supre Demon lay dormant, and not much ti had passed since then until it beca known that the Supre Demon had died. Although the diviners could confirm that not many Supre Demons had died, this kind of death was a permanent obliteration of the related Supre Demons. The once immortal Supre Demons were truly dead.
To those ambitious princes, it was like a signal had been received; the era truly belonging to the human race had arrived. The existence of Supre Demons had once lood over humanity, a sight no ruler wished to see. Now that those Supre Demons could be truly killed—though the reason for their deaths was unknown—
They were dead after all, weren’t they?
"Brother Chang Qing has been gone for six days already." In the study, Lin Yaoyao spoke to Qi Xiangyun, who was dealing with so matters, "I regret not following him at that ti."
"You regret? I regret too... now it’s such a hassle," Qi Xiangyun tossed the pen in her hand onto the table and stretched, "Brother Chang Qing’s actions should be going smoothly, right? It’s only been a few days, and the stable situation has already beco a ss."
Lin Yaoyao smiled, "If you really had gone with him, that would have been true regret, right?"
The situation began three days ago, no, it should be four days ago. So diviners in Qi Family Town discovered clues related to the Supre Demon, and their own ’Heaven’s Mandate’ seed to have been reinforced as well. Initially, the diviners in Qi Family Town were searching for the cause.
But soon after, they didn’t need to look for the reason anymore; it ca to them on its own. So diviners found that certain Supre Demons had completely perished, not the type of death where they would revive after being killed, but total annihilation. The traces of Supre Demon deaths were very clear in the diviners’ eyes.
However, to see these traces, the diviners still had to pay a heavy price.
At least the fall of more than six Supre Demons led to the comncent of a new Chapter in this post-disaster world, and thus, the attention on Qi Family Town increased once again.
Everyone knew that Qi Family Town had good things, technology at the forefront of the era. Various overtures followed the rumors of the ’Dusk of the Supre Demon,’ each one presenting enticing offers, much to Qi Xiangyun’s annoyance.
That wasn’t even the worst of it; the real issue was that the princes couldn’t sit still any longer, and so were even thinking of joining forces to move against Qi Family Town.
"Maybe I was too conservative before?" Qi Xiangyun mused uncertainly. She hadn’t thought about conquering the world; what she wanted most was to see Qi Family Town thrive again and then beco a Dusk rcenary, not just be limited to this world.
Every ti Lin Yaoyao ca back and talked about her experiences in other worlds, Qi Xiangyun felt envious. More importantly, they could join Brother Chang Qing as long as they had enough rit points, but as she was not a Dusk rcenary, it wasn’t easy to achieve that goal.
If she wanted Qi Family Town to prosper, it needed a sufficient population—a number not sustainable by Qi Family Town alone. They needed people from outside, those under the princes. While the princes were ambitious, their ranks were filled with a sizable population, including common folk.
"Conservative, eh? Hehe, even if you weren’t conservative, soone would benefit from it. Or rather, no matter what we do, soone will always have the last laugh," Lin Yaoyao laughed.
Qi Xiangyun showed a helpless expression; she truly didn’t want the population of this world to decrease any further. As Lin Yaoyao had said, killing so princes wasn’t hard. What was problematic was dealing with the common folk. Even if other princes would take in those commoners, complications would lead to more deaths.
At least for now, the princes weren’t that reckless. They wouldn’t wage war lightly for the sake of the population, and they took good care of their civilians, knowing there were too few people now. They preferred farming and developnt over launching battles against each other.
Later, when they had grown fatter and others too, then they would start killing. Since they had beco princes, they had confidence in their own strength and growth.
However, all of this was disrupted with the start of the Dusk of the Supre Demon. With the pressure from the Supre Demons gone, the princes aid to accelerate their plans.
Their first target wasn’t the Supre Demons, nor the alien demons; it was Qi Family Town.
As long as they could take down Qi Family Town and acquire its chanical Techniques, their soldiers would be greatly strengthened. And this was under the premise that Qi Xiangyun had not brought out the automata puppets; if she had, the princes would have been restless long ago.
The Supre Demons might be terrifying, but after all, they were not Supre Demons.
Resting her cheek on her hand, Qi Xiangyun said, "This happened too suddenly; there are many calculations involved."
"It’s like waiting for the fisherman’s benefit. If only you could find the instigator."
"The problem is we can’t find them."
Lin Yaoyao smiled, "Then how about you enter the fray and vie for world dominance? Those diviners would love to see you do that, wouldn’t they?"
