Every beginning is weak, and martial arts need long-term accumulation and refinent in order to develop. What Zheng Yichen did was ’dumping’ in this area, making the human race increasingly dependent on their martial arts in the long run.
Yet, it seems this world had not developed to that extent, and since Wei Xue brought it up at that mont, it must be related to the heart laws he was talking about now.

While the prominence of heart laws has waned, they have never disappeared.

With Wei Xue’s explanation, Zheng Yichen gained a deeper understanding of heart laws in this world. Heart laws may not suit modern martial arts as they have switched from a ’compatibility-focused’ mode to a specialized one within complete heart laws.
A specialization that corresponds to the respective martial arts, perfecting and empowering them, but the essence remains unchanged – still belonging to the human race’s martial arts. Under such conditions, even if one learns ancient heart laws, the worst issue would be the ’overwriting’ of the corresponding martial arts’ heart law sections.
The most that such overwriting could do is to slightly lower the martial arts’ upper limit – from one hundred percent to just over ninety percent, for example – but this decrease is not permanent. With sufficient understanding of heart laws and the learned martial arts, by forging one’s own path, one could surpass the original limits.
The original intent of passing down heart laws was to better learn, master, and ultimately surpass the martial arts and spells of the Supre Demon and demonic tribe. These principles are not restricted to this knowledge alone; they can also apply to new knowledge developed later by the human race.
The premise is to be able to carve out one’s distinctiveness. In this world, the original purpose of the ancient sages in creating heart laws was to strengthen the developnt of the human race, to create new glory, rather than to rigidly fix the developnt within a single frawork.
Zheng Yichen deeply experienced the heart law known as the ’Ice Heart Mantra,’ and with the intense ’impression’ left by flicking through the heart law, he was sowhat moved by the truly ’compatible’ nature of this artifact, offering plentiful choices.
