An Eileena saw an evil ritual she had never seen before, and while the information gleaned from this docunt was limited, she wasn’t without discoveries. For instance, she was certain that what was sealed within that container wasn’t ntal power, nor was it a soul, but sothing in between the two.
This power made the completed thing difficult to detect. The absorption effect of the spellcasting materials she had prepared was very good, but here it could only partially absorb that power. Even as that strange spirit struggled, the powders would be shaken off.
"The main function of this thing is for surveillance."
"Surveillance..."
Ahn Longling imdiately realized that the layout of this base might have been exposed. Although not too comprehensive, so pathways had been learned by outsiders. She quickly gave Ahn Ke a call and asked him to monitor the vicinity for any suspicious individuals.
"Understood." Ahn Ke responded imdiately. She hadn’t been involved in this matter, as her interest in this type of research wasn’t strong. Before long, Ahn Ke’s reply ca: "There are so people with abnormal activities nearby. Clean them up, fourth sister."
"Understood." Ahn Longling swiftly arranged for people to take action. At this ti, those who were moving around nearby and behaving abnormally, even if not problematic, were simply unlucky to be discovered.
On Zheng Yichen’s side, Eileena took out a special item from her bag—a processed skull. Looking at this skull, Zheng Yichen slightly raised the corner of his eye. He rembered this thing; it was left behind by the extraordinary creature that had burst out of that heart.
This thing looked just like him, and after it was dealt with, the remaining skull was identical to Zheng Yichen’s own skull. This object was originally intended to be made into a special soul vessel, but they hadn’t found a suitable soul for it yet.
"This object is also an excellent auxiliary tool for . I can use it to isolate so unnecessary trouble," Eileena explained briefly about the uses of the item, intending to use necromantic skills to trace back to the entities related to this ’spirit’.
The object was related to the evil ritual, and as a witch, she was acutely aware of how harmful sothing like it could be. Without proper preparation, she could easily get herself in trouble, but with her sufficiently good auxiliary tools at hand, there wasn’t much to worry about. Since Zheng Yichen was involved and had asked for her help, she wanted to resolve this matter more splendidly.
"I’ll step back for a bit," Ahn Longling said crisply after knowing Eileena’s intent. She too possessed so special powers, but now was not the ti for showing off. As the commander, this was the ti to show a degree of ’selfishness,’ as her well-being was paramount.
"That’s better." Once Ahn Longling had left the lab, Eileena imdiately began the subsequent operations. She opened a small crack in the containnt vessel, and the ’spirit’ confined within imdiately flew out frantically, but before it got far, it was pulled into the skull.
A faint red fla flickered in the eye sockets of the skull, giving Zheng Yichen a sense of déjà vu. It seed like he had acquired a skull with a fire of the soul in it before, yet up to this point, he had not co into contact with any world of magic.
Most worlds were technologically oriented. Although many had special abilities, their technological developnt was not inferior. He had never encountered a purely magical world.
It was unclear whether such types of worlds were too powerful, or the Boundary Breakers were self-aware and chose not to select those worlds.
"Alright, now I can see so information that I want to see through it," Eileena said, pressing her forehead against the skull. Her body twitched slightly, and her eyes opened to a white blur. After a mont, she abruptly moved her forehead away from the skull.
"I saw it. It’s a creature that parasitizes the human mind..." Eileena said softly, and Zheng Yichen handed her a piece of paper.
"We can talk about that later, first wipe the blood from your nose."
"It’s a minor issue," Eileena replied nonchalantly, taking the paper from Zheng Yichen and casually wiping away the blood. Inside the nearby skull, a faint red glow was still visible, though compared to before, the fla had dimd significantly.
Eileena explained, "After I communicated with that existence through necromancy, it tried to stir up the evil spirit to occupy my mind, but it was restrained by this thing."
At this point, she revealed an unfriendly smile, "Such an evil being is better destroyed sooner. I’ve locked its location using it as a dium. However... the corresponding entity will also know our location."
No sooner had she finished speaking than Ahn Longling opened the door, "Let’s take imdiate action then. All those who were behaving unusually nearby have been apprehended. Their ntal state is completely off, and scans reveal that so people’s brains have already been deford."
Ahn Longling was soone who acted swiftly.
She didn’t linger in the institute. Once the target’s location was confird, she imdiately began the follow-up action. She had already arranged for the personnel, all in a state of readiness, and with a single command, they could be mobilized.
