"Is this guy even human??" A Boundary Breaker, watching Zheng Yichen take down two companions clad in battle suits with close combat, doubted whether there was sothing wrong with the surrounding environnt to allow such an improbable situation to occur.
In this environnt, everyone was supposed to have the physicality of an ordinary person, and the weapon in Zheng Yichen’s hand wasn’t any Divine weapon. How could it possibly cut through battle suits designed to withstand direct bullet impacts?
These suits weren’t simply a layer of iron; they were composed of many high-tech components, such as shock absorption systems, which could absorb the force of powerful external impacts. Unless the defense was broken, Zheng Yichen’s attacks might as well be tickling.
The weapon in Zheng Yichen’s hand appeared to be made of so kind of material that wasn’t very strong. When colliding head-on with the cold weapons included in the battle suits, it was likely to shatter.
Yet, everything changed after Zheng Yichen killed two of their companions; even with a weapon that couldn’t breach defenses, he could unleash a powerful attack that penetrated their suits, inflicting fatal injuries.
Furthermore, Zheng Yichen had seized the weapons of his deceased companions, which were strong and sharp enough to affect the suits themselves.
Plus, the extraordinary close combat skills displayed by Zheng Yichen, his reaction speed was definitely not at the level of an ordinary person. Apart from the defensive and strength gap to the battle suits, the remaining advantages Zheng Yichen had were considerable. Even when surrounded, he showed a remarkable ability to fight back fiercely.
Ding—
A crisp sound rang out as the steel battle saber Zheng Yichen had snatched away emitted a sharp ring and flew out of his hand. During this gap, two Boundary Breakers in battle suits seized the opportunity to attack Zheng Yichen.
Zheng Yichen avoided the onslaught at a perilous angle and stole a glance at the origin of the gunfire. While the Boundary Breakers in battle suits could ignore the impact of their own bullets, he couldn’t. His current physical condition, influenced by the "Performance Coefficient," still vastly outperford an average person’s under normal conditions.
But if he couldn’t withstand bullets, he simply couldn’t. At most, an ordinary person hit by a bullet would die imdiately, whereas he could, like in so mythic dramas, take a whole barrage of bullets, charge forward while shouting, and even manage a counter-kill before succumbing to his wounds...well, there might even be a chance of being saved.
He needed to resolve this quickly. In close combat, Zheng Yichen had much better micromanagent skills than these Boundary Breakers, but it was limited to small-scale fluid combat. If the battle area was expanded, he had no real advantage, with snipers or machine gunners secretly targeting him.
In this short-range, close-quarter combat scenario, he could still use the Boundary Breakers in battle suits for cover, nullifying so of the attacks. They were all moving targets. How was he supposed to fight if the range was extended? He couldn’t run faster than those in suits, and adding machine gun and sniper fire into the mix would only worsen his situation.
The best tactic was to sohow grab a steel battle suit. That was clear without needing much thought.
Ding—Another sharp sound resounded. This ti the bullet fired from the shadows missed Zheng Yichen and hit a Boundary Breaker in a battle suit. The suit easily absorbed the bullet’s impact, and the hit Boundary Breaker, seemingly unfazed, continued to restrict Zheng Yichen’s space for counterattack.
He too was trained in martial arts, which, combined with the augntations of the battle suit, made him increasingly fierce in close combat. That is, until he saw the grenade in Zheng Yichen’s hand, causing his fighting spirit to turn into panic.
He recognized that type of grenade. A recent explosion had killed two of his companions outright.
Now Zheng Yichen had another one...
"Keep a close watch on him, don’t give him a chance to Escape, and avoid using area attacks!" The Boundary Breaker who noticed the grenade was hesitant, although they had wanted to use area attacks to take down Zheng Yichen. They had tried close combat and had ended up with two dead companions.
The survivors had been extrely cautious to avoid being killed outright. Since they were at a disadvantage in close combat, they wanted to use a more advantageous approach, unleashing the energy of the steel battle suits. These energy attacks wouldn’t exceed the protective limits of the suits but would certainly surpass Zheng Yichen’s own limits.
The plan was to burn him to death with that approach!
But now with Zheng Yichen holding a grenade, it ant they had to be prepared to be blown up alongside him if they wanted to use that thod.
Trading their lives for a Proxy Agent might be a win from the perspective of the Great World, but personally, none of them wanted to die like that.
Why should others reap the rewards of their efforts? That wasn’t acceptable...
Ding—
Another crisp shot rang out, still hitting a Boundary Breaker, who was now sweating profusely: "The sniper, my f***ing nesis!"
The bullet wasn’t ant for him, it was aid at the grenade carried by Zheng Yichen!
He didn’t know if the grenade could only be detonated by its pin, but he did know that if it exploded, not just him, but everyone around him would be finished!
"..." The hidden sniper watched his missed target, sowhat speechless. He had indeed tried to hit the grenade on Zheng Yichen, as for the sacrifice of a comrade... there were more than two hundred Boundary Breakers in this world, not everyone knew each other.
Such a sacrifice would definitely be accepted by the Great World. Kill a few to take down a Proxy Agent, and he’d be up for promotion and a raise. The dead comrades would be forgotten, uh, that’s not quite right to say, the Great World had decent benefits, the families of the deceased comrades would receive a sizable pension.
In the resistance forces of the Great World, the one thing they never lacked was money.

"Aaaaah!!" Several Boundary Breakers besieging Zheng Yichen watched in terror as bullets occasionally whizzed by, aid at the grenade on Zheng Yichen, who seed oblivious to them, his strikes deadly.
Seizing an opportunity, he landed a blow to the neck of a Boundary Breaker with the Demonic Abyss Seven Kills, the destructive force infiltrating the protection of the battle suit. A subtle crack appeared on the surface of the battle suit, and the pilot inside fell to the ground unable to get up.
At that mont, a Boundary Breaker wearing a battle suit, despite being slashed by Zheng Yichen, forcibly took the grenade from him, pulled the pin, and hurled it away. Without that damned thing, they could attack without restraint.
But the Boundary Breaker paid a price, as Zheng Yichen’s commandeered steel battle saber was slashed at a weak point in his suit. The mont the grenade exploded, Zheng Yichen burst forth with enough strength, and the steel battle saber, following the weak point in the suit, decapitated the Boundary Breaker.
The remaining Boundary Breakers showed an uncontrollable fear, terrified by Zheng Yichen’s combat prowess, and his audacity. They had considered the grenade a dummy, a bluff to deter them by Zheng Yichen, but only after the explosion did they ascertain it was the real deal!
"You madman!"
A Boundary Breaker’s battle suit glowed red, and the temperature around quickly rose visibly. The other Boundary Breakers also used the sa tactic, the suits’ additional energy usage emitting a strong radiation outward.
To those protected by special powers, the strength of this radiation wasn’t a big concern, but for ordinary people, such combined radiation could completely desiccate soone’s body liquids in a brief ti.
At that mont, a pale green fla lit up on the black saber in Zheng Yichen’s hand.
"??" The nearby Boundary Breakers were taken aback. What was happening? How could he release special powers in such an environnt? Before they could react, Zheng Yichen’s giant saber had already struck each of them, and the pale green fla caused their suits’ internal control computers to issue severe warnings.
The scale of the fla wasn’t imnse, but the power it displayed was significant, rapidly reducing the durability of the suits. While they tried to desiccate Zheng Yichen, the flas could burn them to death!
Soone couldn’t help but dismantle the battle suit, but as soon as it parted from their body, Zheng Yichen closed in faster, the giant saber piercing through the Boundary Breaker. Then, he continued to keep moving.
The radiation from the suits inflicted continuous damage on Zheng Yichen’s body, his skin cracked, and body fluids evaporated rapidly. Slaying a Boundary Breaker replenished so of his blood, aiding his recovery, but the hostile environnt slowed his recuperation.
Even the Hellfire released appeared weak like a candle fla, but the quality of the fla was decent enough to burn through their suits, making them unable to withstand the pressure, they started removing their suits to avoid being burned to death by Hellfire.
Without the protection of the battle suits, these Boundary Breakers were nothing before Zheng Yichen; they didn’t stand a chance, and he swiftly slaughtered them. The ambusher keeping an eye on Zheng Yichen had limited range with thermal vision, but the attackers had an even more limited visual range. If they sniped from three hundred ters away, they couldn’t see Zheng Yichen at all.
And within three hundred ters, they had to act from a spot where they could clearly see Zheng Yichen. The closer they were, the clearer his thermal image appeared, and his constant evasive movent during combat minimised the chances of being hit.
