"Can this thing be used as an enhancent material?" At Dusk Cathedral, Zheng Yichen held the palm-sized dragon scale, a magic tool created by the fire dragon that could turn the Fire Rain Technique into the teor Fire Rain Technique as an auxiliary item. Zheng Yichen tried it out in an alien world, and the effect was very good.
Under the premise of equivalent consumption, the power it exerted was much greater than that of using Hellfire directly.
So Zheng Yichen thought of Dusk.
"Yes, two million per rit point," Tia quoted Zheng Yichen a price that made him feel sothing was a bit off.
He quickly asked, "I want to confirm sothing, is the base price for enhancing this thing one rit point from now on?"
"Yes, the quality of the weapon determines its value."
No wonder the Dusk rcenaries always wanted to work hard at Dusk, according to such consumption, to create a set of true Super God equipnt, they would need more rit points rather than less, even a seemingly unimportant enhancent would directly consu rit points and money. The latter wasn’t too important, but the forr indeed was.
Zheng Yichen spent the money. He wouldn’t be frugal when it ca to enhancing his attack thods; being frugal was being irresponsible to oneself. As for acquiring new ’magic power plugins’ in the future, he would spend the money then—as long as the total number of points wasn’t affected, that would be fine.
As he handed over the scale to Tia, Zheng Yichen suddenly had a bold idea, "What if there’s a lot of magic quantity in this scale?"
"Extra charge."
"That’s simple."
"Including the increase of rit points."
"Then forget it."
Zheng Yichen wasn’t clear on why he had to pay more at Dusk, but he had never been at a loss while enjoying their enhancent service, so there must be a reason for it. He’d try out the effect first. It was less than half an hour before Tia returned and handed the fishing rod to Zheng Yichen.
Zheng Yichen took the item and planned to leave, "I’m going to find a place to test the effect."
The departing Zheng Yichen didn’t ride a motorcycle but instead cycled on a bicycle, as this would not get stopped by the traffic police...
"Kid, you can slow down." On the road, a police officer on a motorcycle caught up with Zheng Yichen.
"I’m in a hurry," Zheng Yichen told the officer, who didn’t seem intent on making an arrest.
The police officer looked at his own speedoter, forty kiloters per hour; he was riding a petrol-powered bike, and that speed was normal, but pedaling was not so normal. Mostly because Zheng Yichen looked young and riding too fast could easily lead to an accident requiring a hospital visit.
"Where are you going? I can give you a lift."
Zheng Yichen slowed down, "No need, I’ll just ride slower."
Zheng Yichen didn’t want to cause any trouble for the obviously well-intentioned police officer, and continued all the way to the southern forest, where he directly entered. Hunters in the vicinity all knew that there was a kid who liked coming here recently.
More importantly, the kid was very formidable and had connections with the Ahn family, often entering the southern forest alone yet always managing to leave safely.
Inside the southern forest, Zheng Yichen planned to find a suitable alien world. He had a detector that could ascertain the stability of anomalous phenona, although that device wasn’t very reliable in the southern forest due to the nurous anomalies here, compounded by environntal effects, the analysis from the detector could only be used as a reference.
He wasn’t planning on sightseeing in an alien world for an extended period of ti, he rely wanted to find a suitable place to test so equipnt...
For this purpose, he had casually chosen a stable anomaly, but what he saw after arriving was a civilization in ruins.
It was night here, and in the sky, one could see a moon shattered in half. The fragnted moon, along with its more intact counterpart, was accompanied by nurous small points of light. These were not stars; so were wreckages of spacecraft, others satellites and relatively intact ships, and there were also corpses scattered across space.
When he appeared here, a giant beam of light from the sky swept over him, making him the most conspicuous person there. Then Zheng Yichen saw a missile floating down from those ’remains’ in the sky.
"Damn it!!" Swinging the fishing rod in his hand, Zheng Yichen’s expression suddenly beca strained. This world’s environnt was even lower than Hazy City’s, the lowest he had ever encountered!
However, the technological level of this world seed quite high; they seed capable of space travel, at least within the star system—if not interstellar travel. But clearly, so kind of war had occurred, leaving the sky littered with a massive amount of ’space debris’.
And those things were still operational. After the scout ship locked onto Zheng Yichen, it directly sent a missile rocketing down at him—and it was homing.
At this ti, Zheng Yichen’s phone also rang. He took it out and saw a ssage from Tia, telling him it was ti for work.
"Tsk, I’m still a child. Using child labor is illegal..." Watching the missile about to hit, Zheng Yichen wisely chose to run away, with the anomaly behind him not disappearing in so cliché last-second miracle.
After he left, the missile that fell from the sky exploded violently, destroying everything around it, and the planet, covered in space debris, returned once again to its original state of icy silence.
"A world with such a low environnt having developed to that extent, yet completely destroyed—it’s kind of a pity," Zheng Yichen mused after reading the ssage. He put away his phone and, as usual, just needed to clock in at the Dusk Cathedral for work within the next twenty-four hours.
This didn’t affect the testing he wanted to conduct. He switched to another alien world. This one was much more normal, only that its energy level was not high though its strength level was acceptable enough for him.
Zheng Yichen took his fishing rod very seriously because Hellfire was very lowly affected by the environnt. As long as his Life Force was sufficient, no matter how poor the environnt, he could manage enough flas.
With an appropriate strength level, his Life Force would beco even more vigorous. Such an environnt was also enough. There weren’t any living people around, so he swung the fishing rod in his hand, unleashing a teor fire rain on the empty ground.
Fireballs with an eerie green hue carrying a whiff of death erged in the air and plumted to the ground. After pounding the earth into deep craters, the Hellfire also splashed around with the explosions.
Zheng Yichen pondered adding a ’magic power plugin’ to the weapon to change the form of the teor fire rain... possibly to a Chaos Rain that turned into Hellfire stone giants upon hitting the ground.
"...I’ll deal with that when I get a chance. The performance of this test has already satisfied ," Zheng Yichen thought. Compared to directly using dragon scales to release teor fire rain, not only was the power greater and the release speed faster now, but the consumption had also significantly decreased.
The money was well spent. He even felt that it was because of this very enhancent that he was called in to work early. After continuing the test, the sky this ti did not rain down fireballs like teors but rather thousands of fla droplets the size of a little finger.
Fire Rain Technique, the lesser magic of teor fire rain.
Using this magic with the fishing rod, Zheng Yichen also felt a massive reduction in consumption, and the power of the Fire Rain Technique was enhanced. It was no longer weak like the previous Hellfire-compatible Fire Rain Technique.
It was as easy and smooth to use as the direct teor fire rain now.
This gave Zheng Yichen a new idea. In the future when enhancing weapons, he could skip the low-level ’magic plugins’ and aim directly for the highest-tier ones. He could simply learn the related lesser magic himself.
Pleased with the test results, Zheng Yichen left the world. Not long after, so indigenous people dressed in ancient garnts gathered here. They worshiped the flas left on the ground, with so carrying rough clay pots, muttering sothing, and preserving so of the remaining Hellfire.
At this ti, Zheng Yichen was already pedaling his bike towards ho, ready for another day of work and needing to inform his family first.
