The circle of Dusk rcenaries isn’t huge, there are a number of Dusk rcenaries in this world, but there’s only one Dusk Territory, and over ti everyone sort of gets to know each other.

After a lot of haggling, Zheng Yichen managed to reduce the price of an item valued at 2 rit points by half. Pushing any further was definitely not possible, as the Dusk rcenary needed rit points to resolve the Life-Stripping Curse. He most likely had ergency rit points on hand, but the loss he’d take would certainly need to be recouped from this transaction.

rit point, two million, plus three amulets.

Looking at these prices, using rit points to exchange for money in the Dusk was definitely a losing proposition.

Even so, Zheng Yichen still took the deal, as the item was compatible with his fishing rod. As for the Life-Stripping Curse, it originated from Hell’s Tree of Death. Branches don’t have as strong an effect, but as long as this item could enhance his fishing rod, it was enough.

In terms of materials, this item was indeed a high-quality one.

Besides that, he started looking for other goods but didn’t find anything else appealing. The number of Dusk rcenaries here now didn’t exceed fifty, and they weren’t the only Dusk rcenaries in the world; they didn’t co to the Dusk Cathedral every day, as they all had lives in their own worlds.

Moreover, so people weren’t there to sell items but to buy them, and so knew about the Zero Point marketplace but weren’t Dusk rcenaries themselves.

Those people were limited to buying items that didn’t require rit points, and so of them also bought things here, which could be so type of electronic device, perhaps so drugs made with modern technology, or even so smuggled weapons.

And it goes without saying, such items were quite popular, especially things like hemostatic spray—when going out, who wouldn’t prepare a couple of extra bottles?

There were also so high-energy compressed foods, a sugar pill-sized piece of food could et the demands of two days of high-intensity activity for a person.

After Zheng Yichen’s amulets were exchanged by quite a few people, such items put out by non-Dusk rcenaries were bought up, portable and high-energy, coupled with the healing amulets obtained from Zheng Yichen, directly equivalent to transforming the food into the effect of a healing potion. Who wouldn’t stock up a little more?

"If I use this as enhancent material, will using only a part of it affect the overall effect?"

"Retaining eighty percent won’t," Tia said, looking at the branch in Zheng Yichen’s hand.

"How much?"

"3 rit points, plus one million."

"This isn’t about making equipnt, just adding material..." Zheng Yichen’s eyes widened. When making the battle suit, he could understand, but a section of a branch demanding such a high price?

Tia glanced at Zheng Yichen’s fishing rod: "The material and the weapon decide the price. If you add other materials to make a new weapon, 2 rit points will be enough."

With that said, Zheng Yichen promptly paid up. After all, once rit points were spent, the recorded total number wouldn’t change; he could still gather four hundred points based on the total amount earned.

Tia took Zheng Yichen’s fishing rod and the branch.

"You’re really eager," Arno said as he approached Zheng Yichen.

Zheng Yichen chuckled: "Can’t help it, I’m a Proxy Agent, a good weapon is too important."

"What about your armor?" He looked Zheng Yichen over.

"It got busted."

"Oh, then the enemy you encountered must have been quite troubleso," Arno shook his head without asking further. Looking at the ti, he said, "I’m heading back first."

Zheng Yichen waited for a while before Tia returned with the newly enhanced fishing rod. The value of this weapon was undeniable; if it weren’t for the Hellfire it released in the last world, the troubles he faced wouldn’t have been so easily dealt with.

He took the refurbished fishing rod and the remaining section of the branch. It wasn’t much, but it could still be used as a material to create a new weapon. Best to store it for now.

Examining the fishing rod in hand, after adding compatible materials, he could sense the subtle changes in the weapon. The strength of the conjured Hellfire was heightened and the eerie green flas now carried a potent scent of death. Even without using Hellfire, the fishing rod could be surrounded by a swirl of gray deathly aura.

The effect of opening the Gate of Hell had also been enhanced, yet the weapon, specially made for Dusk conditions, was still easy to wield.

It didn’t interfere with his regular fishing or the quality of fish caught.

Zheng Yichen didn’t go back; in a few hours, it would be daylight. He found a place to get by for the night, and the next day he called soone to co over. The driver in the van took away all the items he had acquired the day before.

These items included strange ores, the fur of extraordinary creatures, and many other miscellaneous things—too nurous for Zheng Yichen to carry back on his own.

"So much stuff." Katrina looked at the heap of items Zheng Yichen had brought back and imdiately ca over to help. However, after moving things for a while, she was already panting, especially with those large chunks of heavy ore—it wasn’t light.

```
"This is what we got in exchange for those things you made." Zheng Yichen explained.
Katrina and Eileena had produced too many amulets, which served little purpose lying around at ho, so exchanging them for resources turned out to be a much better option.
After half an hour of sorting everything out, Eileena, caressing a piece of fur, said, "In our world, witches have to hide and skulk about, but here... the difference is just too great. I can feel the spirit housed within this fur; perhaps I can make a nice piece of equipnt with it."
"What kind of equipnt?" Zheng Yichen asked curiously, knowing the fur ca from an extraordinary creature that resembled a mutated cat.
"By harnessing the spirit within the fur, it can temporarily transform the one who wears it into that form," Eileena explained.
"Seems... kind of useful?" Zheng Yichen rubbed his chin, thinking that such a thing could make it much easier to move around in certain places.
Especially in areas under surveillance, no one would pay special attention to a cat, right?
"Let make it first."
Zheng Yichen nodded and yawned, "Alright, I’m off to catch so sleep."
He woke up in the afternoon feeling refreshed and began his usual workout routine. The next day, he received a call from the wealthy lady Ahn informing him that his car was ready for pickup.
Upon arriving at the research facility, Ahn Qi was already waiting for him. Seeing her, Zheng Yichen couldn’t help but ask, "You seem to have a lot of ti on your hands?"
He was a Proxy Agent as well as unemployed, but Ahn Qi was different.
"If I had to do everything myself, what would I need my subordinates for?" Ahn Qi led Zheng Yichen to the pick-up location, "The car has been equipped with the latest research and technologies, although this is as far as we can modify it. When you get your hands on even better technology in the future, you’ll just have to get a new car."
"Rich people sure can talk," Zheng Yichen mused as he tested the new car. He found that the operating interface installed in the car had undergone so changes and improvents, and the condition of the weapons onboard, as well as other items, could now be directly checked through the computer.
There was no major improvent in performance, but functionally, it was much more powerful.
"I’m heading back then."
When Zheng Yichen arrived at the Dusk Cathedral and opened his storage locker, he saw so new items had been added. There was nothing significant from Qi Xiangyun’s end, only routine ssages and notes regarding the Demonic Abyss Seven Kills, indicating that it was too distant for them to be concerned with.
Moreover, using it required high conditions. The Qi family had plenty of martial arts manuals, and they were never short on techniques; what they needed was ti to practice them.
Not practicing didn’t make much difference though, as the sheer power of their martial arts was enough to suppress others fully.
What slightly caught Zheng Yichen’s attention was that there were already quite a few ’uprisings’ in her world. The dynasty had not been completely overthrown by the calamity. It was a dynasty, after all, with so heritage to its na, and it managed to retain a portion of its personnel.
They controlled enough treasures to consider restoring the dynasty, but the problem was that not everyone was on board... so wanted to take advantage of the chaos to achieve their goals. The conflicts weren’t overt yet, but signs of disorder were evident. As for widespread chaos, that wouldn’t happen, mainly because there weren’t many people left.
A catastrophic event had reduced the population of Qi Xiangyun’s world to one-tenth.
The reason Qi Xiangyun knew about this upheaval was that people from the dynasty had approached her. Zheng Yichen could find no more follow-up details in the ssages.
"Tch, what use is fighting for control when you’re close to dying out?" Zheng Yichen muttered. With such a small population, entering a tribal stage of civilization wouldn’t be a problem for that world. With the entire human race working together, it would take decades or even centuries to recover.
And yet, they were still keen on fighting for supremacy. Were their brains addled by rabies? They weren’t afraid of extinction, considering the mutated creatures in that world were undergoing changes while humans were intent on infighting.
Next, there were ssages from Chiang Wei. Impressive how fast her world acted; in less than half a month, they identified individuals with the right adaptability. However, there were only two suitable candidates for being a Dusk rcenary, and one of them was less than ideal.
The main issue was that the older gentleman was already advanced in years... you can imagine how frustrated the related departnts must be.
"The tea you gave is incredible; I almost feel guilty for accepting it. Is there anything I can help you with? How about I give your motorcycle’s system an upgrade?"
Reading Chiang Wei’s ssage, Zheng Yichen thought for a mont, composed a reply, and decided that upgrading the motorcycle would be good.
In another world, Chiang Wei checked the ti and yawned, "Strange, I always stop feeling sleepy as soon as it’s ti to leave work."
Muttering to herself, she proceeded to the storage area as usual, and upon noticing the reply, she imdiately took it out and read it. After reading the contents, she returned to her work spot and took an instrunt from a box she was carrying and placed it in the storage locker.
The ’World Security Departnt’ currently supported her communication with Zheng Yichen, provided she regularly wrote reports. If she obtained anything special from Zheng Yichen, she would need to research it jointly with the World Security Departnt.
This usually ant so technological product or other knowledge-related item. Personal gifts were hers to keep, and the terms were quite relaxed. In return, she received additional support from the World Security Departnt, including but not limited to technology and resources.
