"You’re planning to save the world and still thinking of putting things off?" Chiang Wei, sitting in the car, looked around at the air mbrane that allowed them to communicate normally even when traveling at high speeds.

"Sharpening the axe will not delay the chopping of firewood; since you’re going to use it to crack the Eye of Ti and Space base, it’s better to perfect it," Zheng Yichen said.

"...Really, the information you’ve given feels so fake, but your serious attitude makes believe it’s true. Is the Eye of Ti and Space really that dangerous?"

"Whether it’s true or not, it’s too late, you’re already on the ’ship of thieves’."

Through mountains and rivers, they arrived at the place Chiang Wei wanted to go. The ’cell phone’ in her hand projected an image that after several changes confird to her the location. She nodded towards a distant mountain: "That’s the one, that mountain there."

"Really good at hiding." Zheng Yichen changed direction and approached the mountain indicated by Chiang Wei. As they neared, he casually activated thermal vision, and could see so small animals disturbed by their presence: "Where to next?"

"Here—"

Chiang Wei directed Zheng Yichen along a path, flying over parts that were not passable on foot. The road conditions were quite arduous, which made Zheng Yichen sowhat grumble: "The old captain you spoke of, he didn’t consider your physical strength, did he?"

Having a young woman co to such a place, not to ntion the trail conditions, just the wild animals could pose great threats to her.

"I own a flyer, so normally I’d just fly directly here," Chiang Wei said.

"Then you’re quite wealthy, huh."

"Of course... I am... ugh, never mind." She waved her hand, opting not to continue, "We’re almost there."

Upon reaching their destination, Chiang Wei looked around and quickly found a camouflaged secret door with a projection camouflage—a blend of virtual and reality; it felt intuitive to the touch. She glanced at Zheng Yichen, who was observing their surroundings, and began entering relevant commands.

"Alright, let’s go in."

"This secret base is huge." Zheng Yichen surveyed the secret base hidden here, realizing that the old captain Chiang Wei ntioned was no ordinary person.

To have created such a secret base.

"Humph, I could establish a base like this too, it would just take ti," Chiang Wei humd softly. With advanced network technology in this era and a higher bar for becoming a hacker, those in her line of work found it even easier to get rich.

As for equipnt and such, the world’s 3D printing technology could et the production requirents for so precision equipnt.

Money not being an issue, the real challenges were ti and manpower. She had not thought of creating such a base because her hacker identity needed to stay concealed, and her public identity made it even less feasible to do so.

"Then you’re really impressive."

"Don’t touch anything carelessly, be careful not to activate so program." Seeing Zheng Yichen wanting to touch and explore everything, Chiang Wei quickly warned him, and he froze in his actions.

Her laughter escaped at his reaction, and she worked on a control panel, completing so authentication before smiling and saying, "There, but still, best not to tamper with things that look important. I’ll check the stuff here..."

Chiang Wei was very cautious, recalling the old captain’s warnings not to trust anyone within their circle, including the old captain who left her these codes.

She understood the old captain’s intentions; the world was full of too much technology, so of which could extract thoughts directly from one’s brain, and there were various ans for torture. It was possible that the old captain couldn’t withstand the pressure and might completely leak information about ’Doris’ and herself.

While human will can be strong, against more advanced technology, sotis willpower is not as effective.

Taking the old captain’s warning to heart, upon arrival, Chiang Wei first completed preliminary authentication. Then, using these authorized credentials, she quickly cracked the highest level of access of the secret base, taking control and coincidentally checking the main program within the base.

After ensuring there were no issues or oversights, she sighed in relief. Many surveillance screens appeared around her; she was impressed by the scale of this secret base, but Zheng Yichen felt it was amazing, whereas Chiang Wei had seen more formidable ones.

"Oh no, looks like we’re surrounded," Zheng Yichen remarked as he looked at the images on the surveillance screens.

"Old captain..." Chiang Wei’s expression grew complex, the old captain’s warnings were spot-on, "Didn’t you notice when you ca in?"

She then looked at Zheng Yichen. When he caught animals, he never missed, as if he were using a kind of x-ray vision. Shouldn’t his ability allow him to detect if anyone was hiding as well?

"Special ability versus technology, it’s all about the level of advancent, and clearly, my eyes have lost," Zheng Yichen pointed to his eyes.

Thermal vision was very useful, but if soone wore equipnt that adjusted their body temperature in sync with the environnt, then thermal vision could not act as a permanent penetrating vision. He had used thermal vision when he arrived, but had not spotted any anomalies.

"Let’s just finish ’Doris’ first," said Chiang Wei with a sigh. At this point, she had no choice but to trust Zheng Yichen. She placed the suitcase on the control panel and found several thick cables to connect to various interfaces inside the suitcase.

Surrounding them were many more projection screens, so clear blue and others alarming red. Initially, the red screens outnumbered the blue, but as Chiang Wei worked, the red projections gradually reverted to normal blue.

Before Zheng Yichen, a small figure appeared: "She really is just a child."

The diminutive figure looked up at Zheng Yichen, turned in circles, and with fine, thread-like data streams circling her body, she transford into a curvaceous young woman.

"...It’s not that serious, but isn’t she a bit too beautiful?" Zheng Yichen admired the transford figure before him, clicking his tongue in appreciation.

Chiang Wei glanced back at Zheng Yichen, "Without a network, it could be even more beautiful."

It was rely a projected image, and ’Doris’ could adjust every pixel detail of the projection with ultra-high precision by integrating large data sets, making herself as beautiful as desired—certainly the type n would like, and won too, for that matter.

As the last of the deep red screens turned blue, Chiang Wei sighed in relief: "All done!"

"What did those red screens an?"

Looking at ’Doris,’ who had resud her child-like form, Zheng Yichen turned to Chiang Wei with his question.

"Hardware limitations. I can unlock the software issues, but so hardware restrictions need to be lifted here," Chiang Wei replied briefly, indicating that these hardware limitations required specific devices to override.

Previously, Zheng Yichen had only been able to see ’Doris’s’ eyes because of hardware limitations. Now that those restrictions had been removed, and with the program here in the base, she was perfected, allowing her to appear in the form of a human projection.

While a projection can easily alter its shape, it was different for Doris under hardware constraints; she simply couldn’t achieve that level of transformation.

Having completed all the processes, Chiang Wei extracted another suitcase from the secret base’s main computer. This case’s matte color, texture, and material seed higher quality than the one Chiang Wei had brought before.

"You guys really do have everything in sets," Zheng Yichen glanced at the previous suitcase: "So that one’s useless now?"

Chiang Wei, removing the cables from the suitcase on the control panel, said, "Though it still has value, Doris has been moved. Do you want to keep it? Give it to , but you have to get out of here," she demanded.

"No problem. Isn’t there any other way out of here?"

"Sure." Chiang Wei operated the control panel briefly: "Look, it’s sealed. We don’t have a chance to leave normally now."

"Looks like your old captain really spilled the beans."

"..." Chiang Wei’s face showed a mix of emotions as she turned to the projection: "Doris, go back first. I will let you out later."

The small girl-shaped projection nodded and then disappeared. Chiang Wei continued, "There is no weapon system here, and the network has been cut off. The only thing I can do is detonate the energy hub of this place. If you have any last-minute requests, speak now."

"Copy the system data from this place for ."

"The mory in your motorcycle’s computer isn’t big enough; hand that suitcase."

Chiang Wei copied the system data Zheng Yichen wanted into the suitcase that had housed ’Doris’: "All set now?"

Once Zheng Yichen nodded, Chiang Wei swiftly entered new commands into the control panel. The entire secret base began to emit a glaring red light, and the projection screens showed a dense array of error ssages as the temperature inside started rising.

"We’ve got to move fast!"

Zheng Yichen placed the suitcase on his motorcycle, and Chiang Wei quickly hopped on, wrapping her arms tightly around Zheng Yichen—though a hard suitcase separated them...

He twisted the throttle fully, and with Chiang Wei, Zheng Yichen rushed outwards. Outside the secret base, ard forces watched the exit intently.

Soone with a special tactical monocular gestured to others, "The target is coming out soon—get read—" He cut off in surprise: "So fast!"

Boom—The sealed entrance of the secret base blew open, and furious lightning spread out in all directions, eliciting imdiate screams. The ard personnel guarding near the entrance were incapacitated by the lightning strikes.

Those at a distance were less affected, but the ghastly green fire waves lifted by the frenzied wind left those farther away scrambling to evade.

"Where’s the jamr?!!" roared soone.
