After the preparations were done, Zheng Yichen left the Dusk Cathedral and looked at this world that felt both familiar and foreign to him.

What was familiar were the transportation vehicles of the streets and alleys; what was foreign were the high-tech aspects that were common here, such as holographic projections. By the way, this was not so cyberpunk style but rather a futuristic, technological world.

A world with a very high energy level.

In such a world, even without those incredibly powerful individuals, the developnt in energy weapons would certainly not be weak. The high environntal level ant more relaxed conditions for research related to energy weapons.

As he walked along the street, so projections changed as he moved, presenting targeted advertisents based on his clothing style information, such as for motorcycle accessories, cellphones, clothing, and so on.

Zheng Yichen had to admit that these ads were quite attractive; he even wanted to click and buy so, but he had no money. The identity card in this world stored complete information, including a driver’s license, vehicle registration, personal accounts, and more, but no startup capital.

As a modern man, after wandering through the streets for over two hours, he had gained a general understanding of so specific situations in this world and the usage of various things.

The identity card was very convenient; it was currently in an integrated-card state. However, more people were not using a physical card but facial recognition and projections emitted from so device implanted in their eyes.

It was like using a physical ID card or an electronic one on Earth.

Adjusting his sunglasses, Zheng Yichen decided to check out the target he was here to deal with.

Others who saw him would only think that the color of his eyes resembled the hue of dusk, quite beautiful. However, those in the know would imdiately recognize his identity upon spotting the features in his eyes.

As Zheng Yichen was about to leave this technology-filled city, he was stopped by soone familiar yet from a different world—traffic police.

Without a word, Zheng Yichen took out his identity card. The officer nodded, scanned it with a device, and the information needed for investigation appeared instantly. The officer then scanned Zheng Yichen with the device, "No problem."

The officer had seen that Zheng Yichen’s vehicle looked "retro," so he had co over to check it out. But now that Zheng Yichen’s docuntation, including information about the vehicle, proved to be complete, there were no issues.

Watching Zheng Yichen’s departing figure, the police officer shook his head, wondering which family’s young master was playing around with such a retro vehicle. However, fashion was cyclical; although the motorcycle Zheng Yichen rode looked retro in this world, upon closer inspection, it seed quite stylish.

It made the officer want one too, since the modern transportation tools were all too stable. So stable that it was hard to feel any vibration while driving, let alone experience the vehicle’s power.

Just as the officer was about to return to his post, he glanced at the personal information scanned into the device. His eyes widened and he imdiately mounted his vehicle to chase after Zheng Yichen—the previously fine individual had now beco a cri suspect!

Information synchronization in this world was incredibly fast, especially with the police systems. Reviewing soone’s details, one second they could be fine, and the next second, the system could update their status from a normal person to a cri suspect.

And now, Zheng Yichen had beco such a cri suspect...

"What the hell—" Zheng Yichen, who encountered the problem first, imdiately accelerated, speeding through the streets. Around him, so police drones and the like began to close in.

These drones were equipped with non-lethal weapons. Before they could even get a shot off, they were hit by the blast of a thunderstorm Zheng Yichen conjured with a wave of his hand, losing power and tumbling out of the sky.

The police officer chasing from behind saw this scene and imdiately shouted into his communicator, "The target is a Special Ability User!"

"Damn it." Zheng Yichen, seeing the people chasing after him, felt his head grow heavy. Dealing with the drones wasn’t too bad, but the pursuit escalated from drones to other things, making Zheng Yichen question his life choices. How had he suddenly beco a criminal suspect so soon after arriving in this world?

Although he didn’t know what was going on, being caught was definitely not a good option. Fortunately, his motorcycle was fast. The level of technology in this world was high, but the performance of regular transportation vehicles wasn’t much different from those in Hazy City in terms of speed.

The traffic vehicles used by ordinary people, no matter how high-tech, obediently adhered to speed restrictions within the city.

And what about the high-speed roads where you could hit two hundred kiloters per hour? The vehicle he was now riding was faster, making so of the pursuing police officers question their lives, "Riding that vintage bike, isn’t he afraid of crashing to death? Also, what cri did he commit? Did he steal sothing?"

"I don’t know... The records we’ve got so far only ntion that the other party is a very dangerous person who must be caught, and we’ll have to get back to headquarters to access the detailed information."

The chase was still on, even though Zheng Yichen had already fled the city. He looked up to the clear sky above this world, and considering the technology of this world, there was a high probability of satellite tracking, not to ntion the pursuit from behind, including nurous aircraft in addition to cars.

Those things were much faster than the wheeled ones, forcing Zheng Yichen to resort to so extra asures of interference, luckily the energy level of this world was high, giving him significant leeway. His crude earlier test had revealed that his elents manipulation ability was very potent.

He could easily create a powerful thunderstorm, and the Wind type forces allowed him to stir up a minor storm to disrupt the pursuers behind him and eliminate their attacks.

"Your Proxy Agent isn’t faring well on his first outing," a Dusk nun from this world said to Tia inside the Dusk Cathedral.

"He lacks experience," Tia said without any change in her expression. "We’ll wait for the follow-up."

After several hours of continuous running, Zheng Yichen was finally able to shake off his pursuers.

Inside a dilapidated hut in the wilderness, he was taking the ti to rest and ponder just what was going on with the situation he’d encountered.

He didn’t believe that Tia had intentionally set him up by giving him a problematic identity; if it wasn’t an issue with the Dusk Cathedral, then it must be an external factor.

Zheng Yichen recalled everything that had happened since he left the Dusk Cathedral, and he quickly pinpointed the issue—surveillance!

This world had advanced technology, especially in surveillance, and he had seen plenty of monitoring equipnt on the streets, similar to ones he had beco accustod to back on Earth.

Therefore, he had had no particular wariness for such devices, thinking that since he had a clean background with no criminal record, being monitored was not a concern.

At present, the only probable source of his problems could be the surveillance caras. First, he hadn’t provoked anyone, and secondly, there were mbers of the Boundary Breaking Faction in this world who had arrived here much earlier than him. According to Tia’s explanation, the Boundary Breakers were like termites.

When they caused trouble in a world, they initially didn’t attract Dusk’s attention, and they also had ways to avoid being noticed. It wasn’t until the situation they had set up beca too big to cover up that it drew attention. Zheng Yichen had co to this world because the damage done to the fabric of this world by the Boundary Breakers had beco too blatant to ignore.

There were no signs of an apocalypse or any other ga-disaster in this world. On considering it further, it was possible that the Boundary Breakers might be destroying the world’s foundation in ways that weren’t necessarily violent, infiltrating and influencing things subtly instead.

As for using violence, given the level of technology in this world, violent thods wouldn’t necessarily be effective. Just like the Demon Flower in that martial arts world, which was effective in that ancient setting but if you put that Demon Flower in this world for a try!

It would surely be completely destroyed by so kind of high-energy weapon as soon as it erged, and the pollen spread by the Demon Flowers would be easily intercepted by high-tech thods, unlike in the martial arts world, where only Qi Family Town had ’high-tech’ ans to resist the flowers’ subsequent effects.

The sa thod had different effects in different worlds, and the Boundary Breaking Faction wouldn’t lack experience in this area. The world was still operating smoothly, and there were no issues with order, suggesting that the Boundary Breakers had indeed opted for thods of integration and infiltration.

The advantage of doing so was the ability to leverage native forces, set up enough surveillance around the Dusk Cathedral to record everyone who went in and out.

The normal activities of the natives could be ignored, and anyone who didn’t enter or leave normally could be quickly marked, eliminating the need for extra personnel monitoring.

"Can’t they give a break..." Zheng Yichen murmured, a slight grimace on his face. Next ti he encountered this type of world, he’d make sure to prepare so gear in advance, hack into the nearby surveillance systems before stepping out—whether or not those enemies relied on local powers, it was better to be safe than sorry.

This ti, whether the problem was with surveillance or not, it was a lesson learned.

He checked the map on his phone, which could be used offline, so he wasn’t worried about being located. There was also the ID card he carried, provided by the Dusk, which seemingly lacked location tracking features.

Zheng Yichen temporarily disabled the wireless control function of his motorcycle to avoid its signal being tracked. In a high-tech world, using electronic devices carelessly could easily create vulnerabilities.

"I won’t be able to go into those cities anymore."
