Are healing chanism cores useful?
It’s not that they’re completely useless, but their utility is hardly worth occupying a slot for chanism cores.
Swapping them out for another type of chanism core, even one that enhances speed, offers a better cost-performance ratio than a healing type!
When facing the fleets of the War Hundred Clans, most attacks are instant kills; what use is a healing chanism core?
Even if you have the luck to survive, can you ensure the enemy won’t finish you off? Even if they don’t, the residual splash damage from those cannons isn’t sothing the grievously injured can withstand.
In such situations, don’t count on allies having the spare ti to drag the gravely wounded off the field.
Whether one can survive after being severely injured cos down to luck.
That’s why healing chanism cores really aren’t useful; in battlefields with instant-kill attacks, stacking speed and enhancing evasion is more reliable. Either you die, or you erge unscathed.
Surviving severe injuries is really about luck; so fortunate people can survive without a healing chanism core, while the unlucky, even with a body full of them, might still be finished off by enemy cannon fire.
Seeing the young man still hesitant, the veteran shook his head and said no more. He had already provided the necessary warnings, saying more would be excessive.
After all, everyone has different thoughts. Having said all he can, saying more might create the opposite effect.
Watching as the young soldier inspected chanism cores, he gritted his teeth and removed a light green chanism core from his armor, heading to logistics for a new one.
The necessary chanism cores here in logistics are in ample supply and very new.
These are the new equipnt made using new technology. Though the young soldier doesn’t have as much experience as the veteran, he knows that after this war, many of the chanism cores appearing here in logistics will be blood-stained.
"The Wind Spirit chanism Core not only boosts speed but also repels incoming attacks. Though it’s difficult to master, if your reaction speed is fast enough, you can use the repulsive force to effectively increase your evasion capability."
A quartermaster briefed the young soldier on the new chanism core. Although this type of core hasn’t been used in actual combat, it’s highly favored by veterans.
In simulated training, this kind of core significantly enhances survival rates, much more so than any healing chanism core.
However, healing-type chanism cores haven’t been phased out, nor will they be.
No matter how brutal the battlefield, there are still dics, let alone warriors with greater endurance.
After fully maximizing their chanism core capacity, they still have a tiny bit of room left, which they can use to load a healing chanism core.
But this loading is not for survival in combat; it’s to lay a foundation for overloading.
The healing effect of a healing chanism core on severe injuries isn’t quick, but it is effective against cumulative injuries.
The continuous overload damage caused by loading too many chanism cores can be counteracted by this type of healing chanism core.
As a result, so people have boldly adopted this approach, but it remains unsuitable for everyone to attempt.
Those who are suitable have their carrying capacity just eting the standard, allowing them to use this near-exploit thod to expand.
For so, lacking the requisite conditions, such actions would only add further burden, having a counterproductive effect.
Furthermore, so people employ precise calculations to design their chanism core loading strategy, but this isn’t suitable for most people, either.
After all, chanism cores are a new technology, and many ways of using them are not yet fully developed. In the future, there will surely be nurous professionals assisting in related designs.
At present, it’s just not feasible. The chanism cores are updated so rapidly that a plan devised today might be obsolete by tomorrow.
"Thank you." The young soldier installed the chanism core into his armor.
The quartermaster glanced at the indicator bar on his armor and comnted with slight surprise, "You’re in good shape, young man; try expanding with this."
The quartermaster handed him a smaller green chanism core, which the young soldier installed into his armor. On the indicator bar, there was now a small extension with a yellow border outside the green safety range.
"Not bad, not bad. This is the Gale chanism Core; give it a try."
After the young soldier attached the chanism core, the indicator bar broke through the extended yellow border section.
The quartermaster saw this and shook his head, "This won’t do, take it off."
When soldiers load chanism cores, overloads can only be within the allowable yellow indicator range — not the red. Why not use more of the healing chanism cores to expand the indicator bar? Do you really think the healing chanism cores take no toll?
Overusing those can also cause issues; only when it perfectly fits can you install one or two to exchange for overloaded chanism cores.
"I, I think I can try it." The young soldier gritted his teeth.
The quartermaster glared at the young soldier, "What’s there to think? On the battlefield, you’ll be screaming in pain; do you still envision fighting? Or just sending yourself to your death?"
As he spoke, the quartermaster rummaged through a pile of chanism cores and finally brought out a light blue one, "This is the Electric Propulsion chanism Core. It’s less taxing; it should work."
The young soldier quickly installed the chanism core into his armor, and this ti, the added yellow fill on the indicator bar didn’t surpass the yellow fra nor fully fill it, leaving a small gap.
"Can this be exchanged?"
"No need; this will do. This chanism core provides a mild body stimulus, increasing both reaction and body speed." The quartermaster waved him off, urging him away: "Hurry now, there’s a long line behind you!"
Seeing the young soldier hesitating, the quartermaster impatiently said, "Where do you think you’ll find a perfect match? It’s already overloaded; so spare capacity is better. During battle, you’ll fill it over ti!"
"Thank you." The young soldier sincerely expressed his gratitude. Though the quartermaster had been loud, his deanor was earnest when helping him choose the chanism core.
"Hmph... Try to survive, next!"
Returning to his unit, the young soldier felt sowhat lancholic. The veteran, perhaps out of boredom, approached him proactively, and after casting a glance, raised an eyebrow slightly, "Not bad, you managed to overload."
With that, the veteran opened a cover on his armor to reveal the indicator bar: "Rember to turn this off during combat, and, for lower-intensity fights, disable the overload cores."
The young soldier nodded, clumsily concealing the indicator bar on his armor.
He understood the logic. Even if new technology catches the enemy off guard, they were initially on the weaker side, incapable of wiping out the enemy in one go.
Conversely, they must consider how to defend afterward. If the enemy couldn’t defeat them in the first wave, they would certainly focus on analyzing their new technology.
Attending battle with a visible armor indicator bar was like painting a target on themselves for the enemy.
Seeing the yellow-bordered indicator bar, the enemy would identify such soldiers as elite and make it a priority to strike them first.
Of course, not every soldier with such an indicator bar is an ’elite,’ as people differ; so have a high tolerance, thus their green bar quality is substantial. Even when overloaded, others might not asure up.
Yet, in warfare, any remarkable trace always becos a focal point.
By concealing this, they could slightly improve their survival chances.
War hadn’t even started, yet the veteran had already imparted much experience to the newcor.
