Why did things turn out this way?

After blocking the attack from the Dusk nun, Zheng Yichen looked at the cracks covering his body, similar to the traces left in his eyes.

He could, by deciphering Dusk, leave marks of his own fissures, and now Dusk was using the sa thod against him.

Both sides were here, stubbornly interfering with and assimilating each other. Zheng Yichen felt the impact of the excessive cracks on himself, and imdiately realized that the effect was much more malicious than Tia’s "proposal".

Tia indeed treated him as a material pack, but the pack could still be stored after use, to be taken out again when needed, as he remained relatively intact.

However, Dusk intended not only to use him as a material pack but also to directly consu him alive!

Through this thod of complete assimilation, to fill the void of the Dusk’s existence... Zheng Yichen didn’t know why Dusk would use such a thod, probably because Tia had taken away part of Dusk’s functionality, thus prompting Dusk to choose this way.

But if Dusk truly succeeded to this extent, in the next world epoch, he would probably beco an existence similar to a Dusk nun NPC.

Or a part of the Dusk in the next world epoch, or possibly another existence, but definitely not his current normal self.

But whether it’s the choice given by Tia or Dusk’s current approach, neither is very friendly to Zheng Yichen.

As soon as the New World begins, it ultimately results in Zheng Yichen being ’eliminated’, except with varying degrees of severity.

Tia’s conditions at least allow him a ’day to co forward’, treating him as a special collectible figure in daily life.

Whereas the Dusk would completely dismantle him into various parts to integrate into it, becoming wholly part of Dusk.

Zheng Yichen doesn’t want either option.

"Hoo~" With a light sigh, the cracks on Zheng Yichen’s body slowly disappeared. The chaotic Parallel Unification prevented him from being taken away by this reverse corrosive attack instantaneously, but if the corrosion accumulates, he still couldn’t bear it.

It took him a long ti to affect Dusk with his erosion, while Dusk countered him in such a way, if he had no ans to counter it, he’d be finished in a few minutes.

"Boss, the Twilight Light Wheel is closing in on the entire Twilight Space."

"Outside... forget it, I can’t see it anymore." Zheng Yichen wanted to view the outside through the Twilight Space, but the cracks in his eyes made it impossible.

Those two cracks were left when Zheng Yichen was completely defenseless, and he couldn’t eliminate them even if he wanted to.

The Twilight Light Wheel was closing in on the entire Twilight Space. Though he couldn’t see the outside situation, he could still guess it: outside was probably dood, right?

A few points of light drifted into the Twilight Space one after another, but these points of light were quickly wiped out by the Dusk nuns as soon as they appeared.

Having lost the initiative, the succeeding World Tree fruits entering the Twilight Space no longer had the opportunity to rge into the Twilight Rifts.

The number of World Tree fruits successfully rged in earlier wasn’t even ten thousand.

The World Tree fruits released by Zheng Yichen counted in millions. If at the beginning, millions of World Tree fruits had all rged in, it would have preserved nearly a million World Tree fruits at least.

But too few World Tree fruits rged in during the first wave, and ultimately only preserved twenty to thirty thousand World Tree fruits, with all the rest simply lost.

Even with Zheng Yichen’s assistance, preserving even one percent would be considered lucky.

The incoming light points were endless, yet never succeeded in nearing the Twilight Rifts. The shrinking Twilight Space made the rifts left by Zheng Yichen smaller and smaller. Once the rifts shrunk to a certain level, they’d stop, but smaller rifts would only increase the difficulty of the light points entering them.

Outside the Dusk, the doomsday scene was fully manifest.

So regretted, so raged.

As early as ’twenty days ago’, when Wu Lingluo and her group were always on this side of the Great World, they had been actively engaging many Dusk rcenaries, intending to approach the Twilight Rifts in advance, with a ssage for those interested: ’co quickly, while supplies last’.

The entire plan seed overly risky, making those who received the ssage hesitate, but so still made the choice. After all, those willing to use World Tree fruits were all ready to bear the Curse of continuing all living beings actively.

There was such an opportunity now, so it had to be tried. The first to eat the crab was very dangerous, but the first to beco prosperous was also the one who ate it first.

Many responded, but compared to the huge number of World Tree fruits, the overall response wasn’t much.

However, when the ti ca, Wu Lingluo’s side started acting in a very straightforward manner.

Contacting the cracks on the Dusk wasn’t hard; even if a Dusk nun touched those rifts, her body would beco even more indistinct. Approaching from the outside was quite easy for them.

Empty World Tree fruits could be directly integrated, but what the result would be after such integration, they didn’t know.

Yet with Zheng Yichen inside, being able to ensure that he could respond once they were in would be enough.

Wu Lingluo didn’t promise that she could absolutely guarantee everyone’s safety, but those who actively responded had already had this realization; this itself was an adventure.

Successfully, they could avoid the consequences of being settled, or if failing, they would just et their end sooner.
