This did not affect Zheng Yichen’s at consumption.
After dealing with the humanoid aberrant creatures and leaving behind so of the aberrant beasts, Zheng Yichen didn’t go back. He started a fire right there to roast the at. Even though the at would be covered in red mist after cooking, and the red wisp-like substance was difficult to get rid of, it had no effect on him.
What he ate, he could digest, and should he inhale too much, it would coagulate into blood clots that he would spit out.
Mador... Looking at it this way, he really didn’t seem like a human.
After eating breakfast, the returning Zheng Yichen saw three pairs of eyes with different expressions. Lin Yaoyao looked at him worriedly, Qi Xiangyun was sowhat surprised, and Liu Hongzhao hesitated to speak.
"My father said that those with profound inner strength could resist the influence of the Demon Flower, but he never ntioned eating..."
"I’ve told you, my physique is a bit different from ordinary people. Otherwise, how could I deal with the Demon Flower?" Zheng Yichen smiled, looking at those plastic bowls. With a wave of his hand, a stream of water swept them away, the ability of elental control. The Alien Phenonon creature Oma had provided him with control of three elents, and though the ’hippopotamus’ he had poisoned disgusted him enough to cause so discomfort for a while.
It also endowed him with water-type control abilities.
As for fire, he could emit it through basic fire-type magic. In terms of combat, let alone living, life was much more convenient with these powers.
In Dusk Territory, the knight-errant stared out the window at the unchanging redness.
The Dusk rcenaries referred to this place as the Dusk Cathedral, but the friend he knew said that this term was only a matter of contingency. Most places could be called the Dusk Cathedral, but a more fitting na would be the Dusk Territory.
Since two days ago, no new people had co here, unlike before when there seed to be newcors every day. But after the presence of the Proxy Agents, those figures had vanished.
Resources were not lacking here. As for the ’nuns’ within Dusk Territory, they were just as the Dusk rcenaries had said; one could seek their help if there were problems. Yet, such an existence always had its rebels, and so people could not help but act out, only to be directly thrown out by the Dusk nuns.
The martial arts of those individuals were useless in front of the Dusk nuns.
The Proxy Agent that he had been interested in watching had been gone for nearly a week. The heavens showed no sign of change, so could it be that even the Dusk rcenaries, who were considered quite formidable in this world, couldn’t resolve it?
What weighed even more heavily on his mind was that traces of the Supre Demon had also appeared. This was the news brought back by so of the returning Dusk rcenaries, so of whom had been carried back by their comrades.
Their injuries were not light, but they quickly regained mobility after being treated in Dusk Territory. Those Dusk rcenaries never reappeared after that.
According to what so Dusk rcenaries said, this ant that their new mission had been completed, and having earned their guaranteed rewards, they could cleanly leave this world, whatever its fate might be.
As for this, the knight-errant felt even more helpless. He bore no resentnt toward these Dusk rcenaries; they had done quite a bit already. He only hated that he was powerless to turn the tide!
He looked at the empty notice board, which supposedly only Dusk rcenaries could read to see so information. No longer hesitating, he approached a Dusk nun directly.
"I want to beco a Dusk rcenary," he said to the nun who had co with the Proxy Agent.
"Go find them," Tia directed, looking towards a few other Dusk nuns, but the knight-errant didn’t leave. He shifted his question, "And how does one beco a Proxy Agent?"
Compared to taking proactive asures against those destructive forces, he was more interested in playing the role of the fire-fighting Proxy Agent in monts of crisis.
"You can’t beco a Proxy Agent," Tia replied, her gaze calm as she looked at the young knight-errant before her, "Your adaptability and growth potential are not sufficient."
"Aptitude, huh?" The knight-errant was disappointed. He was already a martial arts prodigy in this world, but now he was being told straightforwardly by a nun of Dusk Territory that his ’aptitude’ was lacking, leaving him at a loss for words.
Later, the knight-errant stood in front of the notice board that the Dusk rcenaries always faced, scrutinizing the nurous ssages. Many of them, however, had been crossed out. He could still read the original content, but it obviously ant they were no longer needed.
"Indeed, it’s the Supre Demon..." He scrutinized the content on the notice board, which involved parts about slaying Supre Demons—not all of them, but so that were associated with the Alien Phenonon.
Yet no one had taken on these requests.
Looking further, he realized the tasks listed were too challenging for him to tackle alone.
...
"This martial art is powered by blood, stronger than any I’ve seen before. The Evil Sword pales in comparison," said Qi Xiangyun eagerly after examining the martial arts recorded on the great sword, "What’s more important is that it works quickly. One can ’level up’ through combat, and with good natural talent, even contend with Supre Demons!"
"Now the question arises; this martial art was provided by the Supre Demons of this world," Zheng Yichen said, looking at the excited and sowhat incoherent Qi Xiangyun, signaling her to calm down. Not just Qi Xiangyun, even Liu Hongzhao, looking at that great sword, had a spark of yearning in her gloomy eyes.
And according to Qi Xiangyun, Zheng Yichen thought how the thod seed to follow a ’leveling up from killing monsters’ kind of routine. A martial art that grows through combat, while not deriving quantifiable experience points like in gas, could be seen as a real-life version of monster leveling up.
Unless suddenly there was a protagonist chosen by Heaven’s Mandate, with this step of martial arts and wielding the weapon that records the abilities of the Blood Asura, slashing his way through to the Demon Flower, defeating all foes, and then successfully saving the world...
Does this world have such a main character? If so, please co forward quickly; he was quite exhausted going at it alone. Zheng Yichen realized he was being morally blackmailed, but at this mont, what other solution was there? Could he simply discard humanity?
"But this martial art can use the Supre Demons as nourishnt for training," Qi Xiangyun quickly added.
Zheng Yichen nodded. To use Supre Demons as nourishnt for training, one would first have to face the problem of being able to hold one’s ground against a Supre Demon... Wait, he could probably try it himself.
But he did not want to practice sothing whose origins might not be entirely clear but could potentially be troubleso.
