Each type of person has a corresponding mode of cooperation, and the straightforward approach with Zheng Yichen seed more appropriate. The conditions she offered Zheng Yichen were not to his advantage, nor would they cause any loss of interest on her part.
After all, she was rely opening a channel, and no matter how Zheng Yichen used it, it wouldn’t bypass the Ahn family, so the convenience obtained wouldn’t be too much of a concern for them. There were not a few who could enjoy such conveniences.
She was sure that this was what Zheng Yichen wanted, naturally because of his uniqueness. If he could return from the Alien Phenonon once, he could do it a second ti. She had wanted to find Zheng Yichen more than two months ago, but he had disappeared for over two months.
```
This was a potential piece of evidence. During the ti he disappeared, Zheng Yichen was likely visiting other worlds linked to Alien Phenona.
```
Since he could visit other Alien Phenonon worlds, that ant he would have additional gains. These gains needed to be assimilated and processed. Otherwise, the Ahn family’s resource channels could provide him a great deal of help. These items, whether used for processing or for additional research, the Ahn family’s resources could help solve them.
And while resolving these issues, her family would not lose anything but would instead gain new research materials by studying these items.
As for handling those valuable goods, the Ahn family could also help solve that. Afterwards, whether refined through their technology or stored, there would be no loss.
In this process, Zheng Yichen likewise wouldn’t lose anything. Without the ans to utilize so items, they are as good as trash.
"Furthermore, regarding your Hunter rating, the Ahn family will vouch for you, and from now on, you will be considered a top-tier Hunter."
Such Hunters, well, a few appear every year. It’s nothing too surprising. Of course, most of these individuals are visitors from other Alien Phenona, powerhouses from other worlds who, after arriving in this world due to an Alien Phenonon and being left behind after it vanishes, adapt to life in this world. So are then recruited to beco new Alien Phenonon hunters.
"Top-tier Hunter, huh." Zheng Yichen took out his smartphone and logged into the Hunter’s page, where the information displayed had not yet changed.
"It will change within two days." Ahn Seven took out sothing resembling a USB drive with two connectors, one for the computer and one for the phone: "Use this to get into an internal software platform of the Ahn family; you’ll need to authorize it on its first use."
"Also, the bounty for dealing with that dragon will be transferred to your account, after taxes." Ahn Seven emphasized the words "after taxes." In Hazy City, without saying anything else, the tax departnt was formidable.
As they approached Hazy City, Ahn Seven got out of the car, where soone was already waiting. The vehicle carrying the fire dragon was too big to be driven into Hazy City and had to be delivered elsewhere: "Get in, I’ll take you back."
Upon returning to Hazy City, Zheng Yichen imdiately went ho and straight into the bathroom. Battling the fire dragon had left a strong sll of sulfur on him which Ahn Seven refrained from comnting on during the journey, but Zheng Yichen could clearly sll it himself.
"I’m coming in."
Katrina opened the bathroom door, her cheeks flushed as she looked at Zheng Yichen wearing her pajamas: "Let scrub your back."
"Sure." Zheng Yichen smiled and turned his back to the girl, enjoying the feeling of her small hands on his back and closed his eyes to savor the subtle changes in his body. Having drawn so blood from the fire dragon, his physique wasn’t drastically altered, but there were so minor changes.
It wasn’t a boost in physique or strength but, like before, the acquisition of a certain trait—most likely fire resistance, or perhaps a weaker form of heat resistance.
He had tested it out with hot water, which now had little effect on him. To be impervious to lava like the dragon was unlikely, but this improvent might allow him to disregard a lighter? It was a new resistance he had gained.
Even without physical enhancent, gaining such resistance was satisfying. With his current physical condition, improving his strength and physique had beco quite difficult.
The blood from one fire dragon had not made a significant difference, hinting at the level of difficulty. While rapidly improving strength wasn’t possible, enhancing other traits seed promising.
Could he eventually beco a truly ’perfect creature’?
Er... never mind, it’s not a pleasant thought.
After showering, Zheng Yichen, feeling refreshed, entered his study to examine the USB drive Ahn Seven had given him. It was made of so alloy with a high degree of hardness, so there was no need to worry about it being easily damaged. Upon inserting it into the computer, a page popped up on the desktop.
It prompted for a cara connection, and after rummaging through the drawers to find a cara and connecting it, he completed the authentication. A surprising interface appeared—the page looked like an independent website forum with various categorized sections.
Zheng Yichen browsed the content of those sections, which covered all areas, including the transaction of Gold. It must be said that having such a channel would make the things he needed to do in the future much more convenient.
He clicked to check the valuable item recycling section and, sure enough, Zheng Yichen saw nurous gold shops related to the Ahn family in Hazy City and beyond. Among them, he recognized a familiar one—Big Beard’s Gold Shop. Alright then.
He continued browsing through other sections. The range of categories this platform covered was exhaustive, and so sections even featured comnts from other users who must have had access to this magical channel. However, such comnts were scarce, not like the hundreds of pages one could scroll through on public forums.
Zheng Yichen noticed that most sections had very few comnts, with replies mostly from administrators.
When he got to his personal page, he saw that his profile was marked with five stars... out of a possible seven.
That must be a high rating, right?
"This way, the items they need should also have a solution, right?" Zheng Yichen unplugged the USB drive. Through this channel, he could buy many things that were unavailable elsewhere, including the exoskeleton armor he’d wanted before. Now he could purchase it through the Ahn family’s channel. It wasn’t cheap, but the quality was guaranteed...
And what did the Ahn family have to give up in return?
Definitely less than Zheng Yichen had imagined. The exoskeleton armor was produced by the Ahn family, and what about additional registration? It seems, items bought through this channel would definitely be recorded by the Ahn family; if anything went amiss, they could imdiately ascertain it. Basically, this channel simply eliminated the complicated process that ordinary people had to go through to buy special items.
"List anything you need for ," Zheng Yichen told the two witches during alti.
"So things are not easy to co by," Eileena said, sowhat surprised. "Or are you saying you got support from so... ’noble’ after dealing with a dragon?"
After living in this world for several months, so of her concepts still hadn’t changed. By ’nobility,’ she ant those who resembled capitalists, who in her world were the types controlling or even monopolizing most resources.
If a witch received the patronage of a powerful noble, then researching various magics or magic potions would beco much easier. The only issue was the Church in her world, which ant that even with support, they had to operate covertly.
"I have gained access to a very good channel. I checked, and many items that are not available on the market can be bought through it. Even so magic potions or other items you’re researching can be exchanged there."
"That’s very convenient, but unfortunately, our research isn’t progressing quickly," said Eileena with so regret. They had accumulated too little magical knowledge. Whilst their research wasn’t starting from scratch, the foundation was very narrow. Her research began from necromantic skill as the starting point.
Katrina could only research protection magic and blessing magic, developing subsequent variations from these two types of magic.
The amulet given to Zheng Yichen was one that had been enhanced with protection magic. After Katrina’s experints, the protection magic could guard not only against evil spirits but also had so effect against supernatural forces beyond evil, albeit weak. Nevertheless, it was a promising start.
As for her necromancy, Eileena had a new direction for research, but it wasn’t completed yet. Her idea was to use necromantic skills to carry out a special type of augntation.
Her concept involved summoning spirits of people or other creatures using necromantic skill. Then, using necromancy as a dium to link them, she’d channel the power of these spirits into the person receiving the augntation, allowing them to inherit so of the characteristics or abilities the spirits possessed in life.
"I can help you acquire so magical knowledge," Zheng Yichen thought of the fire dragon.
"That depends on whether that magical knowledge is compatible with what we have," Eileena pondered. "Still, having it is better than not. Even if it’s incompatible, we can use it as a reference."
"Let’s sort this out together tomorrow, just give your list of needed items for now."
The next day, Zheng Yichen drove to the vicinity of the Night Banquet Bar. Unfortunately, he didn’t find Ahn Seven there. The bartender, as usual, was wiping glasses in the absence of any custors. When he saw Zheng Yichen arrive, he smiled and asked, "Is it the sa as before?"
"Sa as before, I guess. I do have a few questions."
"That’ll depend on the question. Now, I do charge for it," the bartender said with a smile that did not fade. "After all, you’re one of the top Hunters now, so you don’t need free or discounted services."
"Uh, I think that’s acceptable."
The bartender shook his head lightly, "You’re not a child anymore. Ask away, and later I’ll present the bill to you."
"...about Dusk Cathedral. Ahn Seven doesn’t know about that place?" Zheng Yichen asked, voicing his doubt.
The bartender looked at Zheng Yichen strangely, "She’s aware of it, but that’s about it."
