Having money could accomplish many things, and the first thing Zheng Yichen thought of was changing his vehicle for a better one. He hesitated between a motorcycle and an off-road car. The latter with its four wheels not only ran faster but at the very least had a stronger carrying capacity, allowing for the collection of more trophies of war.
A motorcycle would naturally be more convenient, as he could just carry it over paths that were impassable, but the issue of load was problematic. He would have trouble bringing back a large number of trophies. Why were there no spatial tools?
At Night Banquet Bar, the bartender looked at Zheng Yichen, who had co in, with a light smile on his face, "It seems you’ve found a new career."
"Uh, I took on a rather ti-consuming task and just got back not long ago."
The bartender wasn’t surprised by this. He just smiled and nodded, "As long as you’ve returned safely, that’s what matters. Are you interested in eting soone?"
"Hm? Who?" Zheng Yichen looked at the bartender with so confusion. The bartender had never talked about such things before. At most, he would talk about so other everyday trivialities or topics related to Hunters.
"A well-known young lady in the Hunter circles. I didn’t really want to tell you this, but she’s been investigating you for a long ti, so I thought I’d give you a heads-up."
Investigation... Zheng Yichen frowned at the word. Investigation always made one think of unpleasant things. What had he done to warrant being investigated?
"She’s here, you talk to her," said the bartender as he saw the smile disappearing from Zheng Yichen’s face. He gestured to Zheng Yichen that the person he was to et had arrived, and his expression was slightly helpless, "It seems she is more anxious than I thought."
Zheng Yichen looked at the short-haired woman who had arrived. She was very attractive, but her deanor was a bit too sharp and assertive. However, Zheng Yichen had seen his share: giant serpents, Burst Mode gorillas, behemoths capable of fierce verbal barrages, soul jellyfish, and more.
She couldn’t affect him.
"Hello, I’m Ahn Seven."
Zheng Yichen nodded and looked at the bartender. After Ahn Seven arrived, he had beco completely an outsider, with no intention of interjecting.
"What do you want to know?" Zheng Yichen asked the short-haired woman in front of him bluntly. Beating around the bush was too troubleso. Since she had investigated him as the bartender ntioned, all the superfluous chitchat was unnecessary, needless to say, even introducing himself.
"About you and the Alien Phenonon," said Ahn Seven, unfazed by Zheng Yichen’s attitude. The bartender had made things clear, and investigating Zheng Yichen was a fact; it was natural for Zheng Yichen to be annoyed by it. But everything could be redied, and the investigation was of the sort leaning towards the norm.
The information gathered was official, such as his na, travel information, etc.
From this information, she confird that Zheng Yichen had once entered an Alien Phenonon and then returned from it. That was very important.
His own matters with the Alien Phenonon? Right away, Zheng Yichen thought of Dusk Cathedral. But looking at Ahn Seven’s expression, it seed she didn’t know much about Dusk Cathedral... If she had known enough, she certainly wouldn’t be curious about it anymore.
Zheng Yichen gave an additional glance at the bartender, who simply wore a faint smile, revealing nothing. His mouth twitched slightly as he continued talking with Ahn Seven. Her main goal was to recruit him, wanting him to join her hunters group.
Ahn Seven didn’t seem to know much about Dusk Cathedral, but her group had a lot of information about the Alien Phenonon, and the hunters group was also ford by Alien Phenonon hunters.
"Since you’ve encountered an Alien Phenonon, these things are no longer a secret. My hunters group’s treatnt will definitely not disappoint you," said Ahn Seven. She valued Zheng Yichen highly, not only for his personal ability but also because he had returned from an Alien Phenonon, which she did not know how he had accomplished, but this alone made her regard him highly.
She didn’t imdiately probe for this secret; there would be plenty of opportunities for that in the future. As for the treatnt, she offered Zheng Yichen an A-Class deal, whereas most Alien Phenonon hunters who joined the group started at C-Class and then gradually moved up.
In terms of personal ability, since Zheng Yichen was able to handle a creature that had wiped out a hunter squad, it proved that his individual power couldn’t be bad, and moreover, his physique wasn’t built on drugs — that wasn’t sothing an ordinary person could achieve.
"I already have a better option in this regard. I won’t join a hunters group, even if the benefits are good, but we can try to collaborate in other areas."
"Collaborate?" Ahn Seven raised her eyebrows slightly, looking at Zheng Yichen, with a bit of amusent. Alien Phenonon hunters were rare, but the total number together was significant. Ahn Seven couldn’t help but smile, "Then you might as well prove it first."
Although she wanted to laugh, even pointing out the difference in their identities, but in a world with special powers, the Ahn family also knew many secrets about Alien Phenona. Since Zheng Yichen had returned from an Alien Phenonon, it ant he had a special experience on the other side of it.
Having such an experience added elents of the unknown to him; even with the influence of Environntal Adjustnt, in this world, it was difficult for anyone to beco ’invincible’. Yet, if Zheng Yichen was really as formidable as he claid, recklessly creating conflict could lead to unnecessary trouble. If he was truly formidable, considering his proposal for cooperation wasn’t out of the question.
"The resources of the Ahn family won’t disappoint you."
Her attitude was very clear: cooperation was possible as long as Zheng Yichen could prove his strength.
"The Ahn family’s resources..." Zheng Yichen scratched his cheek. He knew very little about the Ahn family in Hazy City. Under Ahn Seven’s gaze, he took out his cellphone and searched for information about the Ahn family. He had to admit that the Ahn family had significant influence in Hazy City; many research institutes there received investnt from them.
The industries they were involved in included not only pharmaceuticals but also equipnt developnt and more.

"Why not? There aren’t many Alien Phenonon hunters, so it’s sothing I can handle myself." Ahn Seven spoke with ease. After all, recruiting common employees was different. There weren’t more than three thousand Alien Phenonon hunters in the entirety of Hazy City.
Aside from the Ahn family, other Hazy City families were also recruiting other Alien Phenonon hunters. Each family’s hunters group was essentially built up slowly over ti.
Otherwise, the loss of Alien Phenonon hunters in the southern forest incident wouldn’t have upset her for several days.
So, taking care of such matters personally as the seventh young lady of the Ahn family wasn’t much of a delay for her.
"...Then let’s discuss the subsequent terms of cooperation." The status of Ahn Seven’s family genuinely piqued Zheng Yichen’s interest. He had been thinking about finding so reliable partners to deal with certain matters, and now with such an opportunity before him, he had to give it a try.
"The subsequent terms of cooperation require your proof." Ahn Seven took out her cellphone and pulled up a file, "What do you think of this?"
It was a file about an extraordinary creature. Zheng Yichen’s eyes widened upon seeing the photo in the file, "Is that a dragon?"
He saw a dragon in the file. Although the angle of the photo was a bit skewed, he was all too familiar with the image of the large lizard with wings. It had a dark red body, the ground around it was emitting black smoke, and overall it gave off the impression that it was not to be trifled with.
"Yes, it’s a dragon." Ahn Seven nodded.
Zheng Yichen continued to read the file. Hazy City was often shrouded in fog, which rendered satellite surveillance ineffective. The ergence of Alien Phenona was not always fully captured, and unless there were eyewitnesses, it was difficult to pin down their location.
Hazy City was vast, and many unobserved Alien Phenona erged there. The fog significantly hindered detailed surveillance capabilities.
If an Alien Phenonon was not discovered promptly, no one could be certain what might have escaped from it before detection, and this dragon was a creature that had escaped from an Alien Phenonon. Initially, it had concealed itself and also possessed not inconsiderable intelligence.
Later, when discovered by the Ahn family, they tried to make contact with the fire dragon, which ended with the extrely irritable dragon killing the people who approached it.
"This dragon is capable of speech, but is temperantal and holds strong distrust toward the goodwill of the Ahn family."
"Are you sure what your family offers is goodwill?"
"Why wouldn’t it be? As long as we can persuade the dragon, the Ahn family will naturally provide it with sufficient food and a better living environnt. If it wants to take part in battles, we can incorporate it into so fights. If it wants to go outside, that’s not a big problem either. All it needs to do is accept regular health checks, donate a bit of blood, and have its claws clipped and scales cleaned regularly," said Ahn Seven as she listed the conditions originally offered to the dragon, which the dragon considered an insult.
"Maybe it doesn’t understand much about this world?" Zheng Yichen actually found Ahn Seven’s conditions rather acceptable... at least they weren’t about slicing and testing.
In the dragon’s original world, these terms might be seen as an insult, but in this world, wasn’t the dragon worried about being bombarded by artillery fire?
Or perhaps, it simply didn’t grasp these concepts...
