As the saying went, it was easier to deal with a leader than their goons.

Insignificant people like Brother Hao were nothing but a source of headaches and Ye Lingchen did not bother to waste ti on them.

It was also the reason he brought Ali along with him. It beca convenient for him if he encountered that sort of situation since there was no need for him to take any action.

Back in the vehicle, the passengers all looked at Ye Lingchen with awe.

Su Qingxue looked at him differently too and began questioning his identity.

Even if it was not Pei Tianjun in the earlier phone call, it must have been a certain important figure. Otherwise, it would have been impossible to scare the lawless Brother Hao into submission, to the point where he would kneel on his knees and humble himself to the fullest.

“Hey, don’t you have anything to ask ?” Su Qingxue could not help but ask as the car continued on the road.

“No,” Ye Lingchen was not interested in this.

Su Qingxue started to reveal everything on her own accord.

The Su family was renowned in River City and had ample influence in the Sichuan-Tibet region to the point that their na inspired reverence whenever they were ntioned.

There was a saying that local gangsters were above the law.

The Su family was undoubtedly one of those gangsters!

As the third daughter of the Su family, Su Qingxue should rightfully have been one of the preeminent descendants, but her status had since plumted after her father—the Su family’s second son—had been dead for many years.

Initially, her uncle—her father’s elder brother—was the patriarch, and should have taken more care of her, but unfortunately, her uncle had a son and a daughter who surpassed her and targeted her sowhat. As a result, she was in a rather awkward situation.

Ye Lingchen opened his eyes and glanced at her. Seeing the bitterness on her face, he could not help but soften his expression and start chatting with her. In the anti, he also took it as an opportunity to learn a bit about the Sichuan-Tibet region from Su Qingxue.

The reason why the International dical Association was established there was not the reason that Ye Lingchen guessed, but was actually because the environnt there was conducive to the growth, cultivation, and research of herbal dicines. Moreover, the Sichuan-Tibet region had areas that were well-known as the source for many dicines, with many being developed there.

According to Su Qingxue, the Su family’s biggest industry was also dicine. Aside from growing and selling herbs, the Su family was also behind many healthcare products and dicines on the market. A large number of shares in listed pharmaceutical companies were held by them.

“What’s the standard of martial arts for the people around here?” Ye Lingchen probed.

A touch of unnaturalness flashed through Su Qingxue’s expression before she said solemnly, “Very high. Just take Brother Hao as an example. He really did kill a tiger with his bare hands, but his strength can only be regarded as average! There are too many masters here, and you may think that you’re good enough with your big bodyguard, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Many of the people’s strength here is far beyond ordinary people’s imagination. You’re an outsider, so it’s better to keep a low profile.”

All the earlier signs showed that Ye Lingchen was a little unscrupulous in doing things, hence the reason she made that remark.

“That many masters, huh?” Ye Lingchen raised his brows slightly and was a little surprised.

Su Qingxue hesitated for a mont before lowering her voice and saying mysteriously, “Since you know martial artists, then you should know that martial artists need continuous martial arts training if they want to beco stronger. Many of the herbs here are also very helpful to martial artists, and so will co here to buy these herbs.”

Ye Lingchen was stunned.

As people used to say, the poor were sent to study while the rich could learn martial arts. Training in martial arts was very costly since it consud a lot of physical strength. Though it might be an exaggeration to eat supplents such as millennium-old ginseng, the ten tonics were nevertheless very important. Moreover, injuries were unavoidable during such training and that necessitated another sum of money that had to be forked out.

Ye Lingchen could absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, which was considered the purest form of tonic. Even so, there were tis where he—let alone others—felt that it required a lot of energy to do so.

He rembered what had been said on the internet regarding the high number of wicked people in that area. Ordinary people who ca there to travel would have to suffer financial losses to avoid getting in trouble if they encountered any. Should they opt to get soone to fight, then it would cost them dearly.

His reason for visiting that place was because it was rich in tonics. The locals had strong Qi and their physique was relatively robust too.

A new idea suddenly popped up in his mind. He previously saw things from the perspective of a doctor treating ordinary people. Perhaps he could target another class of people?

Warriors and martial artists!

He was able to refine tonics that were better suited for martial artists, sell it to them, and even...train his own martial artists!

Seeing Ye Lingchen’s silence, Su Qingxue pondered for a mont and continued, “In fact, if you’re afraid of causing any trouble, you can join our Su family. If your dical knowledge is good, you’ll definitely be of use.”

She looked eagerly at Ye Lingchen.

“No thanks. There isn’t anyone in this world that I can’t afford to offend.” Ye Lingchen waved his hand casually.

“Hehe, bragging without seeing who the target is.” Su Qingxue rolled her eyes and felt rather disappointed.

She had the idea of rope in Ye Lingchen right from the start, since the Su family had to rely on connections in addition to her own strength. She was not treated that favorably in the Su family, but if she could get a dical practitioner to enter the Su family, then her status would be much better.

Upon reaching their destination, Su Qingxue grabbed Ye Lingchen and added him on WeChat before parting ways.

Ye Lingchen brought Ali straight to the International dical Association.

Although he had never been there, being in the era of technology ant that they could use their mobile phone for navigation.

Along the way, he t many similar people like himself, just as Su Qingxue said. They all pretended not to show their true colors, and many of them were foreigners.

At that ti, the entire International dical Association venue was already full of people.

Each of them was unique in their own way. So were international dical enthusiasts while others were students from dical universities or dical professionals who received special invitations.

They were there to observe and admire the achievents of the world of dicine. It would be a glorious thing if they were lucky enough to witness a leap in dical knowledge.

Those who could be selected to participate in the International dical Association were undoubtedly in the possession of unique dicines.

At that point, a middle-aged foreigner with a tall nose and naturally curly hair strode onto the stage.

“Gosh, it’s Amir Roy!”

“I’ll be damned! Did India develop another amazing drug again?”

Many people imdiately exclaid as soon as the man took the stage.

So people shunned the spotlight, but others were the complete opposite and reveled in it instead.

Amir waved and smiled generously at everyone around him.

The commotion was getting louder. Several people were getting excited and had gazes of admiration.

Everyone in the dical world would have heard Amir’s na.

Born from an ordinary family in India, he achieved excellent grades from childhood and enrolled straight in Murica’s Massachusetts Institute of Technology after graduation. He thus began his studies in the dical field and embarked on a long journey of studying.

dical majors took a longer ti to graduate than other majors and he finally graduated with a Ph.D. after a full ten years!
