Chapter 267: Shocked Parents
“My dear nephew, don’t be impulsive, I’ll toast three cups to you,” Lu Yuan looked at Ye Lingchen and said.
“Qi’er, what are you still staring blankly for! Hurry up and serve so tea for Lingchen. Both of you played with each other when you were still young and you had a really good friendship, so you can’t be too distant when you grow up,” Sun Hong chid in too.
“Oh, yes! Right away!” Lu Qi nodded and imdiately started pouring so tea.
Ye Lingchen’s status had far exceeded their imagination. Based on the relationship between the two families, they might even have the chance to take full advantage of Ye Lingchen. It would have been a wonderful thing if Lu Qi and Ye Lingchen took a liking to each other, but unfortunately, it was already too late for regrets.

your courtesy.” Ye Lingchen expression did not waver as he said to the waiter, “Could you arrange a ride for us?”
“Certainly.”
The waiter would never dare to neglect that request. It did not take long for a limousine to stop at the entrance at nine o’clock. Naturally, soone opened the door respectfully for welcod Ye Lingchen in.
The Lu family had a convoluted and agitated look as they watched the Ye family enter the car.
At that mont, Leng Jun rushed over and even waved at Ye Lingchen in the car. “Young Master Ye, take care, I’ll see you out.”
Lu Yuan stared at Leng Jun with a rather hesitant look in his eyes. He gritted his teeth before walked over and asking, “Big Boss Leng, I’m from the sa hotown as those three people and we have a good relationship. I wonder what that young master’s status is? ”
Leng Jun shot Lu Yuan an insipid look and smirked.
Having seen everything, a simple guess was enough to reveal the truth of what happened.
Leng Jun had no reason to treat Lu Yuan nicely at all. He said curtly, “His status is much higher than you think! He can take you to soaring heights if you have a good relationship with him, but if you offend him, he could easily consign you to eternal damnation! ”
Lu Yuan wiped off the cold sweat from his forehead and cracked a bitter smile. “He’s actually my dear nephew and we’re really close.”
“Hehe, you should know better.” Leng Jun smiled coldly. “You’re lucky that Young Master Ye isn’t a vengeful person, but...don’t be too full of yourself.”
Lu Qi and Sun Hong exchanged glances with each other and sighed aloud. At that point, they wanted nothing more than to give themselves a big slap. The chance of a lifeti was shoved right into their faces, but instead of grasping it, they tried to be clever and spat on their own faces. All the pain in the world could not match the amount of agony they were feeling then.
“It was just a little misunderstanding. Please don’t take it the wrong way, Big Boss Leng.” Lu Yuan was trembling all over. From the looks of the situation, Leng Jun even seed to be helping Ye Lingchen reclaim his dignity, which made Lu Yuan quite terrified. “Big Boss Leng, we’ll be leaving now. ”

On the way back, Ye Jin was still bitter about what they just said, “Is it true that people will change when they co to a big city? Their family were all good people last ti. How could they be so arrogant now?”
“That’s right. Everything that ca out of their mouths is either about money or connections. Is there nothing else in this world except those two things?” Xu Zhen was a little angry. “I rember how cute Lu Qi was when she was a kid and I even hugged her in my arms! She’s like a completely different person now. ”
“Mom, Dad, don’t worry about it too much. People will always change,” Ye Lingchen remarked plainly.
Xu Zhen let out a drawn-out sigh and looked at Ye Lingchen with stern eyes. “Son, you mustn’t ever beco like that.”
“Don’t worry, Mom, I’ll always be your son.” Ye Lingchen did his best to smile.
Ye Jin pondered for a mont before saying, “Lingchen, I don’t care what you are doing now, but must always be able to answer to your own conscience, do you understand? Never get involved with criminal things!”
“Yes. You’re now grown up and have your own matters to attend to, but you must always make sure that your behavior is appropriate? Do you understand?” Xu Zhen advised as well.
“Mom, Dad, don’t worry.” Ye Lingchen nodded and promised.
Ye Jin and Xu Zhen were incredibly shocked by everything that happened on that day.
They were well aware of Ye Lingchen’s situation in Capital, but the events of that night made them feel even more distant to their own son. Ye Lingchen seed to have gotten along well with many people in Capital, but the reality exceeded their imagination greatly.
Even so, none of them asked Ye Lingchen what he had been up to.
Ye Lingchen took a deep breath, took out his mobile phone, then sent a text ssage to Zhang Yunxi, “My parents will be there soon. Hurry up and prepare.”
“What’s going on? Are you telling the truth or just bluffing?”
Zhang Yunxi seed to reply within re seconds, three smiling emojis, and three crying ones at the end of her text.
“It’s not a joke!” Ye Lingchen replied. “Clean up a room. Also! We are working in the sa company as Miyako and are living in the company’s employee residence.”
“Mm. I know what to say.” Zhang Yunxi replied.
Ye Lingchen breathed a sigh of relief only after making things clear. He arranged his words and said, “Dad, Mom, the both of you already know that my salary here at Capital is very high. Besides that, the company also provided
with a place to stay.”
Xu Zhen nodded. “How is the environnt? Is it a staff dormitory?”
“The environnt is very good, and the residence...is really big.” Ye Lingchen was trying to mislead his parents to the best of his ability. “After all, our company is an international company with first-class treatnt. I’ll give you another surprise once we get there. ”
“More surprises?” Xu Zhen and Ye Jin both smiled. Their son was much more impressive than they expected and his future seed promising.
As the car drove into 1 Hill Spring Residence, the smiles on the Xu Zhen’s and Ye Jin’s faces disappeared instantly because they were simply too shocked.
Its extravagance was overwhelming.
Even if they did not understand a thing, it was quite obvious that those who can live there were by no ans ordinary people—the residents were definitely very rich.
“This is your staff dormitory?” Ye Jin looked suspiciously at Ye Lingchen.
What kind of company was that?
Ye Lingchen could only nod bravely despite the bitterness in his heart.
He had no desire to lie to his parents, but if he said that the house was his own, it was incredibly hard to explain the source of the money.
“Uncle, Auntie.” Zhang Yunxi had been waiting at the door for a long ti. She greeted Ye Lingchen’s parents as soon as they got out of the car.
“Yunxi? Are you here too?” Xu Zhen was beyond surprised, but a very pleasant smile soon appeared on her face.
“Yeah, I work in the sa company as Lingchen. Our boss always goes abroad, so he allowed us to live in his villa because he knew we were not locals from Capital,” Zhang Yunxi said with a smile. “We have another colleague inside.”
“I see.” Those words were much more convincing than Ye Lingchen’s. Both Ye Jin and Xu Zhen nodded in response.
They might still be worried if Ye Lingchen was alone, but with Zhang Yunxi’s presence, they were no longer suspicious and felt more at ease.
