Young Master Cedric was about to give an explosive response when the other side suddenly hung up on him.
"How dare this son of a b*tch hang up on !" Cedric Doyle raged before preparing to redial the number.
However, the phone suddenly rang on its own.
Cedric Doyle imdiately smiled coldly before picking up the call.
"You have so guts to hang up on , you bastard! Where did your courage suddenly go, hmm?! You sure talk big! Did you think I will forgive you if you plead for forgiveness now?! Just you wait! You're dead!" He barked.
[…Have there been so sort of misunderstanding between us, Young Master Cedric? You were the one to hang up on … not the other way around.]
The other side spoke with his naturally deep voice, baffled while feeling dread and apprehension from the young master's death threat.
"You want to play dumb with—uh… wait, what? Who am I speaking to—No! You can't fool with your voice change! Do you think I am an idiot?! You were obviously the one to hang up on !" Cedric Doyle barked while flickering intelligence.
Of course, it was monkey intelligence.
[It's , Young Master Cedric! We just spoke on the phone earlier! What voice change are you talking about? This is my natural voice!]
The other side quickly responded with urgency while remaining humble and courteous in his tone.
However, inside his head, he was thinking, 'Not only do I think you are an idiot, I think you are a f*cking idiot! Do you have a loose screw or sothing?! Or did you eat so gunpowder?! Your dog sh*t brain can't even rember who hung up on who?'
Nevertheless, the person could only keep his thoughts to himself and not say them out loud. If he did so, not only would he lose his job but possibly even his life!
Cedric Doyle's furrowed his brows deeply with doubt before he pulled the phone away from his ear to check the caller id.
It was obviously his informant's caller id and not the one he dialed earlier.
"Ahem, why are you calling again?" Cedric Doyle said sternly, brushing over the previous misunderstanding like nothing had happened.
The person on the other side was obviously unhappy that he did not even get an apology. Even so, he did not bring up the matter.
If he forced his boss to apologize to him, where would his boss's face be? Not to ntion, his boss would refuse to apologize and might even fire him!
Alas, such was life.
If you are just an ordinary rookie at the bottom of society with no strengths and wanted to climb the social ladder, you have to suck d*ck to rise—not in the literal sense, of course.
You have to flatter your bosses.
Of course, if they had such a particular preference, then your work life can only be described in two words; tragic! Miserable!
[Ahem, I just received an information update on the person you wanted to learn about, Young Master Cedric. This person is actually a hidden master! He just subjugated the Declan Gang and Yan Gang and killed Brother Cui!]
The person inford.
"Oh, I see… subjugated the Declan Gang and Yan Gang, eh? Not bad…" Cedric Doyle spoke nervously with a dry voice before asking, "Brother Cui… Which Brother Cui?"
[How many Brother Cuis can there be in Silvercove City? Of course, it's the right-hand man of the Bloodmoon Gang's branch leader, a Level 9 Hunter! You didn't offend that person, right? Young Master Cedric?]
The person asked.
Bzzzt!
The phone was dropped with a thud on the other side of the call before going completely silent as Cedric Doyle fell back on his chair, breaking into cold sweats.
'Don't offend such a person? I already did!' Cedric Doyle cried in his mind.
Soone who can kill a Level 9 Hunter would obviously have to be stronger than a Level 9 Hunter! Even the Bloodmoon Gang's branch leader was only a Level 10 Hunter!
If Brother Cui can be killed, there was a chance that the person can also kill the branch leader! And he offended such a person!
Cedric Doyle was unable to think straight at this realization. He could only hear a thousand f*cks raging in his head like the buzzing of a thousand cicadas.
"No, wait! There's still room for redemption!" Cedric Doyle suddenly exclaid.
He recalled that the person told him to stop pestering the said person. That is to say that the relationship between has yet to the point of no return.
It can still be fixed.
Thinking to this point, Cedric Doyle gazed at his black smartphone on the ground with a cracked screen.
…
Shortly after Albion hung up the call and was about to put away the smartphone in his pockets, it suddenly started ringing again.
He frowned at the new unknown caller id.
"F*ck, who the hell is selling out my phone number like so cheap cabbages at the supermarket? Is my number sothing any Tom, Dick, and Harry can call?" Albion complained in a mumbled voice.
Shortly after, he accepted the call and asked, "Which dog is calling now?"
"Haaaa?! What did you just call ?!" A familiar young lady's voice thundered on the other side, causing Albion to nearly stagger to the ground.
"Ahem, it's nothing." Albion coughed before he said, "So, it's Miss Anya. Is there a reason why you are calling at this ti?"
"I heard you got your own phone today. I am just calling you to save my number, so you can call in case of an ergency… also, thank you for saving my dad today..." Anya Seymour said with difficulty.
"Oh, no problem. If there's nothing else, I'll be hanging up now. I'm busy."
"Well… actually… um—"
Beep.
The call was hung up by Albion after seeing Anya taking forever to speak.
However, shortly after he ended the call, the phone rang again.
Seeing another new caller id on the screen again, Abion's hand imdiately shook as he had the urge to toss the phone away.
"F*ck, is there no privacy with this number?!"
