After a mont, Albion stopped reminiscing previous life matters and shifted his attention to the enchanted clothes and equipnt.
Although it was only a sliver of spiritual power, he could see that humans have taken a step forward in understanding the miraculous uses of runes.
"Master, how can washed clothes be as good as brand new clothes? No matter how you wash them, there will still be so remnant stains left behind. It will never be as good as sothing new," Fenriri said.
"Oh, believe . Humans are perfectionists, and our technology has co a long way. As long as it's a physical stain, it can be complete removed with chemicals. However, a spiritual stain is impossible to remove."
"Why are spiritual stains impossible to remove?" Fenriri asked curiously.
"Because even if sothing is absolutely clean, it will never clean as long as you think it is dirty," Albion stated calmly.
"It's the sa for an innocent man being charged with heinous cris and locked behind bars. Even if his innocence is later proven true, he will never be considered truly innocent by everyone. There will always be a distrusting group."
After Albion spoke, Fenriri was left with a ruminating look as she thought over his words.
He eventually took the opportunity to leave with Francis.
…
Soti later, they arrived inside the biogenetic research laboratory.
After passing through several security-encrypted gateways and taking an advanced elevator shaft down into the undergrounds, they finally reached the core of the facility.
"I was expecting a secret base, but I did not expect the underground space to be this vast," Albion comnted indifferently, contrary to his surprise.
"This place was not that big when we discovered it, but it quickly expanded in the past 3 months and continues to grow even larger with each passing mont that it reached the stronghold's underground space," Francis explained.
Nurous vials of green solution could be seen on one side, while cages filled with strange insects were seen on the other.
In the center ahead was a wide-open chasm that seems to stretch on for eternity, and a plethora of plants and exotic vegetations grew along the ground.
"Is this another of the Second Wave Dinsion Rift?" Albion inquired with interest.
"I would like to say so, but no, this chasm is different from the Dinsional Rifts, Boss. Dinsional Rifts are portals to other worlds, but this one isn't one of them. We've sent drones to explore the bottom, but there's no portal or anything like that."
"In fact, the chasm is not as enormous as it seems. It's just a really steep pit with a rocky bottom. The problem is that these insects and plethora of unique vegetations are spawning inside as if they are just springing into existence."
As Francis explained, Albion's interest grew.
"I suppose you are all puzzled why space is expanding and where the extra mass is coming from after checking the geographics?" Albion questioned.
Francis was quickly stunned.
"Yes, that's exactly right, Boss!" He admitted before asking with surprise, "How did you co up with such assumptions after such a short explanation with limited information, Boss?"
"Well… you can say that I've read a lot of books…" Albion answered strangely.
Francis did not seem to notice his expression and exclaid with praise, "So Boss likes to read a lot of books on science. Mostly physics and geology, I presud?"
"Ahem, no." Albion coughed and said, "They're just cultivation novels written by various allnovelfull authors… There are so hardworking ones, lazy ones, 'sickly' ones, even complete cucks and dishonest authors."
"Though I still read their novels since it's good despite that—but of course, they don't get my support."
"…What?"
Francis's admiring expression suddenly froze.
Shortly after he recovered slightly, he said with a dumb look, "Boss must joking. How can cultivation novels provide any useful knowledge on physics and geology—or any useful knowledge for the matter?"
"Hm?"
Albion imdiately frowned and gave Francis a disappointed look.
"Your mind is too narrow, Francis…not enough to reach the apex," Albion stated coolly. He wanted to say that.
Shortly after, he began imparting his words of wisdom.
"Don't look down on cultivation novels or any other novels either. Each book contains its own set of knowledge hidden within. It's up to the readers whether they can identify, comprehend, and apply them."
"We, as readers, are constantly in a state of learning when we are reading. For example, if we read a terribly written book that makes us want to butcher the author alive, we will at least know it is trash and belongs in the bin," Albion casually said.
Francis's lips twitched.
He was uncertain how that could be regarded as useful knowledge, but it was definitely not the kind of knowledge he wanted to waste ti learning...
"I see…" he uttered speechlessly.
"Anyway, it seems like the world layers are overlapping and converging by the looks of it," Albion concluded calmly before shifting his gaze to the vials of green solutions on a nearby table.
"So, what is this green liquid?"
As Albion asked, he reached his hand into the open vial to study the green solution with his sense of touch.
However, Francis's eyes quickly widened before he cried with alarm, "Boss, those green solutions are very corrosive! You'll lose your entire hand with a single touch!"
Plip!
Albion's hand made contact with the green solution before he felt it fizzing with lukewarm temperature.

…
The notifications sounded in his mind.
"Oh, this green liquid stuff is not bad. Taking a bath in this thing will probably provide even greater benefits," Albion casually comnted before he asked, "But I wonder how it tastes?"
Francis was shocked when he saw the boss's perfectly fine hand before receiving an even greater shock when the boss took a sip.

…
The notification sounded again.
However, this ti, Albion's face slightly flushed red before he exclaid, "Water! Get water! Damn, this thing is so spicy! I don't do spicy!"
'That's it?! Just spicy!?' Francis scread in his heart while looking at the boss like he was looking at a monster.
Just what was this person's body made of?!
