After being pardoned, Emperor Polemos put back on his stylish white shirt made of high-quality fabric with great relief—but just before he did, his bare top revealed nurous battle scars, one of which looked like it nearly bisected him in half.
Nevertheless, Polemos was a titled Emperor among Hunters, a proud and venerated existence with his own dignity.
Naturally, he would prefer not to do such a ridiculous and humiliating thing like running around butt naked in public—but of course, if the Lord commands, then he will hear and obey.
No questions asked.
Even if the Lord wants him to suck his—Ahem, never mind. Forget that last forget that last part. No, banish that thought right this instance.
…
Having taken a more careful look at Albion, Polemos glanced into his scarlet eyes with a heartfelt relief like an enormous burden has finally been lifted off his shoulders.
"The other three generals thought that you were crippled and killed at the bottom of the Ganyde Ocean all this ti, but I knew that you weren't crippled by the tribulation and had always been alive, my Lord."
"Ha, people can doubt , deny , and forget , but I assure you, my ability is very real. That fact will not change." Albion stated calmly.
Reverence burned in Emperor Polemos's eyes as he recalled the mont when the powerful beam of Lightning Ashura Flas shot past Damocles at an increasing speed of light or even faster than that.
"Yes, my Lord. Not only was I right all along, but you also ca back stronger than ever." Polemos spoke before kneeling on one knee, paying respects to Albion.
Shortly after, he offered a familiar black ring from his pockets, "I can finally return this token of authority to its rightful owner."
"The Ashura Ring was on you?" Albion's eyes narrowed with both surprise and alarm, but he accepted the black ring, nevertheless.
Once the Ashura Ring was worn on his index finger, a faint connection was felt like it had just beco a part of his body. With a single thought, he could understand the contents inside the interspatial storage and manipulate them at will.
"Yes, my Lord! That day, when I learned what happened, I utilized all my resources in order to retrieve the ring back from Kasin and stationed Ptolemy in the Ganyde Ocean to look for you ever since, my Lord."
"And the big scar on your chest?" Albion queried.
"A result of Kasin and the other two joining forces to retaliate against ." Polemos stated casually before chuckling, "Tis were tough, but once the Damocles Project went live, they could not do anything to ."
Emperor Polemos recounted lightly, but Albion could tell how extrely difficult and life-threatening it must have been to be targeted by three other generals.
"You have proven yourself loyal enough. Your efforts will not go unrewarded..." Albion nodded calmly before he suddenly paused, recalling Polemos's previous words.
Did he went to look for him first, or did he went to retrieve the ring first? Polemos seed to have ntioned retrieving the ring first.
'So, even Polemos can't be fully trusted, eh? But at least he can be used.' Albion thought.
"I dare not ask for a reward. It is the least I can do for the one who raised and nurtured to be the person I am today." Polemos lowered his head subserviently before asking with his head turned to Cao Wudi, "But what should be done about this person?"
Cao Wudi imdiately trembled from the shifted attention. He seed to have stumbled upon a great secret, and perhaps, he will be silenced for it.
'I've overco many disasters in my life, but I think today is finally the day I fail… Good Lord, have rcy on this poor soul…' Cao Wudi silently prayed.
Albion glanced at the person for a mont before furrowing his brows, "Why did you mistake for this person?"
"Given the piled coincidences, it was hard not to, my Lord. This person possesses the unique aura that you usually place on all your subordinates and disciples, which allows us to recognize one of our own people…"
"But also given how the Ashura Group is divided into four different factions now, I guess this unique mark is no longer useful for recognizing our own. Please give a mont, my Lord. I will interrogate this person at once."
"Try not to kill him."
After Albion stated, Polemos imdiately closed the distance in an instant, clutching onto Cao Wudi's throat, and lifted the heavily armored person in the air before he interrogated, "Whose side do you belong to? Why did you pretend to be the Lord?"
'I didn't pretend to be any lord! That was your misunderstanding!' Cao Wudi cried in his mind, almost coughing up blood from the unjustified accusation.
Nevertheless, he put on a humble expression and carefully asked, "What sides are you talking about, Your Majesty? I'm just a small-ti police officer…"
"Playing dumb with ? Seems like you need to experience a bit of pain before you cough up the truth!" Emperor Polemos snorted before tossing the hunk of black tal that is Cao Wudi into the air.
Peng!
Cao Wudi was imdiately kicked before he slamd against the first floor's ceiling, significantly deforming the special-alloyed top while shattering a few ceiling decorations.
"Have rcy, Your Majesty! I really don't know what you are talking about!" Cao Wudi cried while his body was free-falling from the ceiling.
Peng!
He got kicked back into the ceiling again before Polemos snorted coldly, "Seems like I need to get more serious to make you spill the truth!"
'Mother f*cker, I am telling the truth, you stupid old goat!' Cao Wudi scread in his head while also rejoicing that the heavy armor protected him from harm.
At the sa ti, Branch Leader Johnson and Secretary Jane finally found the courage to enter the Hunter Association building before they were stunned by the state of the lobby.
The building stood firm on the outside, but the inside has beco a big ss!
"This… This…!"
Branch Leader Johnson trembled with agitation before crying, "Your Majesty, this building is Federation property!"
"I'll pay for it." Polemos nonchalantly said before giving Cao Wudi another kick.
Peng!
The person imdiately crashed into a corner of the lobby, breaking several expensive-looking decorations before Polemos glanced back again at the Branch Leader, whose eyes turned bloodshot.
"I'll pay for those too."
