The mont Zeno saw the logo of Mirae Axis—two things ca to his mind.
First, they had really great packaged kimchi.
And second, he saw their logo with ConDom when he did his investigation during the ti they were trying to bring him down.
So, from the mont he realized that, Zeno's mind was set.
He had to destroy an enemy. He knew he couldn't bring down Oska Baek in as much as a month, so he decided to go with the easiest target.
That was J-Slick.
At first, Zeno didn't have a solid reason. However, during the last day of their filming for 'The Forsaken Prince,' he heard sothing interesting.
Before he could leave, he wanted to harvest so potatoes to take them ho. He had grown addicted to it at that point. However, when he arrived, he wasn't expecting soone else to be there.
He was unreasonably upset with the thought of soone harvesting the potatoes before him. But then, he saw it was Oska Baek.
It turned out, the potato field had the strongest signal in their filming site.
"Fuck, this is annoying," Oska muttered, kicking the ground where the potatoes lay.
Zeno didn't move despite the unharvested potatoes calling out his na. They were innocent, so why was Oska kicking them?!
"The ratings are exactly what I wanted, but they're not because of , is it?"
Zeno tilted his head. "Fuck Zeno Han. Can you schedule a eting with J-Slick of Continuous Dominance?"
Therefore, the mont his mission was revealed, the plan was underway. He was just waiting for them to strike first.
And as stupid as they were, they did.
Now, Zeno had the perfect opportunity to tear ConDom down.
Of course, he had to get Mirae Axis by his side. That was pretty easy, considering the owner's daughter seed to be smitten with him.
He visited ConDom to see if there was any evidence he could use against J-Slick. He had left his gambling evidence, and of course, Zeno tore it along with the other docunts so that J-Slick wouldn't be suspicious.
Zeno kept the files, and with that, he had evidence. After which, he called Mirae Lee and talked to her out of 'concern.' In reality, he tipped her off so she could use her influence on her father, which, according to the staff during his photoshoot, loved Mirae more than anything else in the entire world.
"Daddy! I think I know who's stealing your money," Mirae exclaid.
Mr. Lee lifted his head. "Sweetheart, your imagination is very good. Keep it up."
"No, no. I'm not joking this ti!" she said, showing him the files that Zeno had sent.
Mr. Lee took it with a frown, glancing back and forth between Mirae and the files. "Where did you get this?"
"From my future husband," she smiled.
Mr. Lee's frown deepened even more, but as he compared the audit reports and the evidence of gambling, it began to make sense. The amount they were missing was equivalent to the one that this man had gambled.
"Continuous Dominance?" Mr. Lee muttered. "Did we have a company like this?"
Mirae pursed her lips. "I told you to buy them because they had Rex. That thirst trapper I was obsessed with for a month."
"Ah!" he exclaid. "This is that company?"
"Yes," Mirae said, sounding ashad. "He's a jerk—a piece of dust compared to soone like Zeno."
"Right," Mr. Lee muttered.
"Anyway," Mirae chid. "You said you would do a favor except for marrying Zeno, right?"
Mr. Lee nodded, still engrossed with the revelation.
"Then, do this favor," she smirked. "Let's tear Continuous Dominance to pieces!"
And with that, J-Slick's past was dug up until the bottom of the iceberg.
"Is that right, J-Slick?" Mr. Lee asked as he laid out all of the facts of the case.
His assistant stared at J-Slick with a hidden, satisfied expression. Of course, he had cooperated with Mr. Lee. He was offered a good position if he ratted out his boss!
This was his chance to finally escape the chains of J-Slick's power!
"H-how?" J-Slick muttered, completely out of it. He didn't know what to do. This was supposed to be his perfect day!
"Sir, no. I can explain! This isn't what you're thinking about. That money is mine and mine alone. I gambled my own money, not yours."
"That's not what the audit report says," Mr. Lee said in a murderous tone. He was a kind man but wasn't lenient for matters like this.
"I don't think you'll have enough ti for your own complaint," Mr. Lee chuckled. "You're going to be going to defend yourself, after all."
J-Slick's mouth opened, but no sound ca out. His face had gone pale, eyes darting between his assistant and his phone.
"Nice eting you, J-Slick. Oh, and goodbye," Mr. Lee said.
J-Slick stumbled back a step, tripping on a raised part of cent and falling to the ground.
He had spent years clawing his way to the top, stepping on everyone who dared to stand in his way.
J-Slick felt his chest tighten. "No. This isn't real. I still have Dreamy. I still have ConDom!"
"Not anymore, sir," his assistant said.
J-Slick's face turned red, and he stood once more before punching his assistant on the jaw.
His assistant flinched, but he took it, knowing this would be the last ti.
"What do you know?" J-Slick exclaid. "It is still mine! The debt. Dreamy is still indebted to ."
"No," the assistant shook his head, pulling away. His face was devoid of any emotion, causing J-Slick to flinch. He had never seen this look on his face before.
"Zeno Han had already paid it off."
If it was possible for him to get paler, he just did. J-Slick's pupils shook and he felt his heart stop.
"H-how did you know?"
"Because you entrust everything to , Mr. Slick. Because you know you can't do it on your own. I built Continuous Dominance, and you rely took the credit."
"Now, it's ti for you to atone for everything you have done."
"This must be a joke," J-Slick muttered. "I'll forgive you if you stop this now, Jolo."
His assistant pursed his lips. "It's Jojo, sir. Even until the end, you cannot utter my correct na."
