Now that he had Resurrection Coins as a safety net, Lucien had no real worries.

At so point, a strange thought suddenly crossed his mind. What would happen if he killed himself?

After thinking it through carefully, he ca up with several possible outcos.

First, if he killed himself, nothing would happen and death would simply be real death.

Second, if he killed himself, the useless cheat ability might crash or abandon him, and his death would still be real death.

Third, if he killed himself, there was a high chance the useless cheat would revive him, and there would probably be both punishnt and reward.

The continuous missions involved hunting Reincarnators, Transmigrators, Reborns, and Children of Destiny, but not Darkness itself. Besides these possibilities, other outcos might exist, yet the most likely result was still simple death.

But now everything was different. He had Resurrection Coins.

Ever since he obtained one, Lucien's thoughts had beco wild and chaotic, filled with countless strange ideas. The most important thing was the Near Death Ability.

Lucien clearly understood that the Near Death Ability he had drawn was nowhere close to a true Saiyan's version. Ignoring all the restrictions, just the difference in power increase was ridiculous. A Saiyan could grow by millions or tens of millions after near death. His own increase barely doubled his strength at best.

The gap between the two was enormous.

On top of that, both Saitama and the current Nana placed heavy pressure on him. It created a constant sense of anxiety deep inside his chest.

Because of that pressure, a new idea slowly ford in his mind, and he was already planning to act on it.

He wanted to truly die once. Real death and near death were completely different concepts. Maybe real death would make him stronger.

If he did not have Resurrection Coins, Lucien would never even consider it seriously. At most it would remain a crazy thought. But now that he had a safety net, thinking had turned into temptation.

Of course, if his guess was wrong, not only would he waste a Resurrection Coin, but the Soul Fruit might disappear as well. That would be a massive loss.

No matter how he looked at it, the idea was reckless. It was basically asking for trouble. Completely unnecessary.

Normally, Lucien would never make such a foolish decision. Resurrection Coins were extrely valuable items that could be used in the future, not wasted now. After all, Saitama was still by his side. There was no need to force himself into sothing so dangerous.

Let Saitama charge in first, beat the enemy half to death, then finish them off himself. That was the smartest thod.

Why ignore the easiest path and deliberately risk losing a Resurrection Coin and the Soul Fruit?

There was only one answer. An uncontrollable impulse, sothing coming from deep inside his soul.

Lucien could feel that the fifth Near Death Ability was different from the previous ones. Near death would only double his strength, but true death might bring sothing far greater.

It was not a matter of confidence. Even if his strength doubled again, he still would not be Saitama's opponent, and he might not even surpass Nana.

There was also another problem. After the fifth Near Death Ability activated, Lucien felt as if it entered a cooldown state.

The description clearly stated that once potential and combat power reached a certain level, the ability would completely lose its effect. What did that an exactly? Would it disappear forever, or would it only beco temporarily unusable?

This detail was extrely important. It was practically a cheat.

Perhaps because of his Future Prediction, the impulse he felt now was incredibly strong and unbelievably real. Powerful people sotis received sudden premonitions, warnings of danger or missed opportunities that could change their destiny forever.

Lucien had never experienced such a strong instinct before.

If he only triggered the ability through near death, he would gain nothing more than another simple power boost. But if he triggered it through true death, he might gain sothing far more important, sothing he could not even describe yet.

So he decided to gamble, even if it ant wasting a Resurrection Coin and losing the Soul Fruit.

Life itself was a gamble.

And even if he lost, he would only lose items, not his life. What was there to fear?

"Saitama, I am going to die once. Do not save ."

Lucien's athyst eyes were calm. Once he made a decision, he would not hesitate.

"Why?"

Saitama looked confused. He knew he was going to die, yet he still did not want to be saved.

"I will not truly die. Trust . Once I experience real death again, then it will be your turn to act."

Lucien patted Saitama on the shoulder. His body slowly lifted from the ground, transforming into a crystal figure. Golden white flas and lightning burned around him. The sound of clashing weapons echoed in the air as golden armor began to form around his body. The weight on him vanished, and a magnificent battle the seed to play in the distance.

Watching Lucien go all out, Nana looked up at the scorching sun. It was getting closer to noon.

The power inside her body was increasing every second.

"Dealing with you is effortless."

Nana raised her sanye axe and looked at him like he was nothing more than an ant. Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at Saitama, the true threat.

This Darkness seed closely tied to the Child of Destiny. Unfortunately, that Child of Destiny was an idiot. If it had been anyone else, they would have been hunted down long ago.

"We can try."

Lucien's eyes glowed red. Even if he planned to die, he would not go down quietly.

"Hmph."

Nana snorted softly. The raised axe carried an energy powerful enough to scorch the sky and boil the sea as it swung down toward him.

"Dust Slash."

The mont the axe fell, an invisible force sliced through the air. But Lucien had already used Future Prediction and vanished, reappearing behind Nana as a hundred thousand ter Divine Dragon stretched across the sky.

"Great Might Heavenly Dragon!"

Nana showed no surprise at all. It was as if she had already predicted his move.

"Holy Lance, Escanor."

She extended a flawless white finger and t the Divine Dragon head on.

The mont the attack collided, Lucien's crystal face changed instantly. Even with layered defenses like Armant Haki, Hardening, and Iron Body, he could not withstand it.

That single white finger pierced straight through his right arm, causing half of his body to explode.

But the terrifying force did not stop there. It compressed the air into a spiral shockwave that shot across the sky and disappeared into the horizon. The ground beneath them was torn apart, forming a canyon tens of thousands of ters wide that stretched endlessly into the distance.

Even that destruction was nothing compared to the earlier Dust Slash.

To Nana's right, nearly a quarter of the Earth's atmosphere and surface had turned into a bottomless abyss. From space, it looked as if the planet had been scarred by a massive wound.

The entire world began to shake. Every human and living creature could feel the approaching disaster. Through satellites, humanity watched in horror as a massive section of the Earth vanished.

Just four more swings of that axe, and the planet could be split in half like an apple.
