The warship was enveloped in light as it rode the wind and cleaved through the waves, quickly sailing tens of thousands of miles away.

At first, the wind and waves weren’t too great, but the further they left the mainland, the fiercer they beca.

Waves towering dozens or even hundreds of tres high roared towards them, thundering like a tempest, as if capable of smashing everything into smithereens.

In the sky, Gang Wind rampaged, like countless blades flying through the air, causing the wind and waves to collide and stir up massive amounts of mist.

In such an environnt, not to ntion ordinary people, even a Martial Arts master would only have one path: death.

Of course, for Lu Yan and his companions, it didn’t make much difference.

The warship was enveloped by a Formation, keeping the wind and waves at bay, slicing through the obstacles like a gigantic sword, making the deck as calm and warm as spring.

Soon, they had traveled more than a hundred thousand miles away from the mainland. Here, the wind and waves were even more terrifying, with huge thunderbolts stretching tens of thousands of miles across the cloud-covered sky.

Hail and heavy rain poured down, Gang Wind and gigantic waves ran wild, painting a scene of the apocalypse.

Lu Yan marveled inwardly, no wonder it’s said that venturing out to sea below He Dao is a road to death.

Not to ntion other aspects, just this environnt... An ordinary Primordial Spirit Realm practitioner, even if they could withstand it, would deplete a vast amount of spiritual and True Vigor energy. As ti went by, they would surely die of exhaustion.

Whoo-whoo...

Suddenly, a series of beastly howls emanated from beneath the sea.

The sound originated from below the ocean.

A vast shadow was cast from underneath the water, over ten tis larger than their warship.

"Be careful, there’s a sea beast,"

Pang Luo swiftly warned.

Boom!

The next mont, a massive tentacle struck from beneath the sea, rolling up thousands of waves and slamming towards the warship.

This tentacle, which greatly resembled that of an octopus, was simply too enormous, stretching tens of thousands of zhang in length and casting a vast shadow as it struck down.

Moreover, the tentacle was grotesquely adorned with human arms growing from it, twisting ceaselessly, their fingers scratching frenetically as if trying to grab onto sothing.

Apart from the human arms, there were also all kinds of beast heads embedded on it, such as tigers, lions, oxen, horses, and more, constantly roaring.

"I’ll stop it!"

Min Luo Demon Lord stepped forward three paces, Demonic Qi erupting like a volcano, pushing both palms forward. Above the warship and in the high sky, two gigantic demonic hands materialized, colliding with the tentacle.

Boom!

An earth-shattering boom drowned out the roaring winds and towering waves. In the next mont, the demonic hands crumbled, and Min Luo Demon Lord was thrown back, hitting the edge of the deck and spewing out a mouthful of fresh blood while exclaiming in shock, "Not good, it’s an Immortal Realm sea beast."

In the nick of ti, Mr. World took action, waving his hand as nine Formation flags flew out, swelling with the wind and casting nine beams of light upon the tentacle, blocking its attack.

Whoo-whoo...

The assault having been repelled, the creature beneath the water seed imnsely enraged, bellowing as it parted the sea, and seven more ferocious tentacles erged, descending towards the warship in unison.

Mr. World’s expression turned solemn, as he simultaneously devoted all his energy to navigating the warship through the waves while using the Formation flags to fend off the sea beast’s assaults.

Lu Yan, Pang Luo, and Min Luo Demon Lord also took out their weapons and fought with all their might.

Lu Yan, wielding the Exorcism Bow, Demon Destroying Arrow, fired three arrows consecutively, hitting one of the tentacles and blasting three bloody holes into it.

However, the tentacle was so large that the three bloody holes had little effect on it.

Under Lu Yan’s ntal command, the Demon Destroying Arrows curved around and flew back into his hand.

As for Pang Luo and Min Luo Demon Lord, their attacks had an even smaller effect on the sea beast. It was primarily Mr. World, who with a swing of his hands, made the ninety-nine Formation flags encircle the warship, forming a large Formation that blocked the eight tentacles.

The warship sped away like a sharp sword, darting through the gap between two tentacles at extre speed.

Whoo-whoo...

The sea beast howled, its colossal body erging from underneath the water. It was indeed a gigantic octopus, though far more malevolent in appearance, with a twisted human-like face atop its head and eight wildly flailing tentacles churning the ocean as it pursued Lu Yan and his companions.

But suddenly, countless Formation Patterns perated the water, enveloping the sea beast within.

It was a Formation Mr. World had quickly laid out. Lu Yan and the others had not even seen him deploy it, displaying his truly incredible mastery of Formation Patterns.

Boom!

The octopus sea beast ramd into the Formation, shaking it violently. The hastily arranged Formation ultimately couldn’t withstand the Immortal Realm sea beast.

But a few barriers were enough.

Under Mr. World’s full-powered operation, the warship shot forth like a beam of light, covering a hundred li in a single breath. By the ti the Formation collapsed, they were already thousands of li away, having shaken off the octopus sea beast.

Phew!

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"Pang Luo, are there many Immortal Realm sea beasts within this sea area?"

Lu Yan inquired.

Pang Luo shook his head and said, "The Wild Ocean is teeming with sea beasts. Indeed, there are quite a few of Immortal Realm, but the Wild Ocean is boundless and its territories are incredibly vast. The chances of encountering an Immortal Realm sea beast in the endless ocean are actually not high. Last ti Zhao Zhihuan and I went out to sea, coming from the Desolate Land, we didn’t encounter any Immortal Realm sea beasts the entire way. It seems we have bad luck encountering one so soon after setting out."

Lu Yan was speechless.

Fortunately, their luck seed to turn for the better afterwards. For three consecutive days, they did not encounter any Immortal Realm sea beasts. Though they did co across many sea beasts below Immortality, sotis even in groups, they avoided entanglent with ease.

"The fog is rising..."

Lu Yan looked around, brows knit together.

The visibility was clear just monts ago with no trace of fog, but suddenly, fog began to form.

As far as the eye could see, misty white fog was everywhere, and with visible speed, it was becoming ever more dense.

This fog, most peculiar, not only obscured their vision but also blocked their Spiritual Sense. Lu Yan’s Spiritual Sense found it exceedingly difficult to extend, and the distance it could cover was continuously shrinking.

"Be careful, on the Wild Ocean, once fog arises, it’s never good news."

Pang Luo warned.

At this ti, a faint singing voice could be heard.

At first, the singing wasn’t very clear, appearing and disappearing intermittently, but it gradually beca distinct.

The song was mournful, like weeping and complaining, as if a stunningly beautiful woman was crying.

"Not good, the lant from the sea, that’s the sign of a terrible power that died in combat, with resentnt lingering and wandering over the Wild Ocean. Hearing this kind of singing will easily trap one in an illusion; whatever you see next, don’t believe it, otherwise, your soul will be carried away."

Pang Luo warned with a pale face.

It wasn’t that he genuinely wanted to save Lu Yan and the others; it was because, at present, he was in the sa boat as Lu Yan and the others. If sothing happened to Lu Yan, Mr. World, or anyone else, his survival rate alone in the Wild Ocean would be slim.

Whoosh whoosh...

Gusts of chilly wind attacked them, and the fog thickened. The voice beca clearer and clearer, boring into Lu Yan’s ears like a drill.

Lu Yan felt his consciousness starting to blur, beset by waves of drowsiness, accompanied by endless fatigue.

He really wanted to just lie down on the spot and have a good sleep.

"No, that’s not right..."

Lu Yan suddenly shook his head vigorously. The Rule of Thunder operated, and a bolt of lightning struck his head, making him co to his senses.

But when he looked around, his expression changed.

Mr. World, Pang Luo, and the Min Luo Demon Lord had all disappeared. On the vast warship, only he was left.

"Elder, Pang Luo, Min Luo..."

Lu Yan called out loudly, but received no response.

Had sothing happened to Mr. World and the others?

Lu Yan’s heart sank.

"No, that’s not right, Mr. World himself is an Immortal, how could he be so easily ensnared? An illusion, yes, that’s right, this is an illusion. When I felt disorientated just now, I must have fallen into an illusion."

Lu Yan’s thoughts raced.

"Young Master..."

Suddenly, a soft call reached him, and a woman appeared abruptly on the deck.

The instant he saw the woman, Lu Yan’s heart couldn’t help but beat a few tis faster.

No other reason but that this woman was so beautiful, peerlessly breathtaking.

Shen Yinuo was exceptionally beautiful, but compared to this woman, she still seed less captivating.

Moreover, the woman’s body was only draped in a sheer gauze, her alluring form partly visible, her eyes brimming with water, exuding a terrifying bewitching power.

"Young Master, you’ve finally co, I’ve been waiting for you here for a long ti..."

The stunningly beautiful woman twisted her body, moving closer to Lu Yan, a fragrant breeze blowing past, intoxicating him.

Lu Yan’s consciousness beca slightly hazy once again.

"No, this is an illusion, Lu Yan, rember, this is an illusion..."

Lu Yan ntally roared to himself, and another bolt of lightning struck his head, making him lucid again.

At this mont, the woman had co within less than a ter of him. Seeing Lu Yan regain his senses, the woman’s expression turned ferocious, and her body rapidly changed, transforming into a red skeleton that lunged at Lu Yan.

"Get away!"

Lu Yan shouted, releasing the Thunder Bell. More than a dozen golden bolts of lightning struck at the red skeleton but passed through it as if striking the air.

The red skeleton reached out, a strange energy surged into Lu Yan’s sea of consciousness, attempting to seize Lu Yan’s Primordial Spirit.

"Die."

Lu Yan bellowed again, his Primordial Spirit vibrated, and a Big Tree Phantom Image flew out, crashing onto the red skeleton.

The red skeleton let out a piercing scream, and with a loud bang, exploded into red dust.

Everything around him abruptly changed, as if the stars had shifted. Lu Yan felt as though he had been transported from one space-ti to another.

He was still standing on the deck of the warship. Mr. World, Pang Luo, and the Min Luo Demon Lord were standing not far away, all with solemn expressions, staring around them.

"Elder, have you been here the whole ti?"

Lu Yan asked.

"Of course."

Mr. World nodded.

"Then did you see a red skeleton just now?"

Lu Yan asked.

Mr. World, the Min Luo Demon Lord, and Pang Luo all shook their heads.

"Could it be that everything just now was an illusion, and the sinister presence in the fog has set its sights on ?"

Lu Yan inwardly reasoned, then recounted everything that had happened.

"It must have been an illusion, as long as you maintain a firm heart, not moved by external enticents, the adversary cannot take advantage."

Pang Luo said.

"...Is my ntal state too weak?"

Lu Yan wondered to himself.

However, Mr. World and the Min Luo Demon Lord had both been alive for over six thousand years, and Pang Luo for over a thousand years. Even if Lu Yan added his previous life, he had only lived for a few decades, so it was normal that his ntal state couldn’t compare to these old tirs.
