Boom! One punch created a huge crater in the auction stage.
Franklin and Shizuku jumped back, looking at the stage. "A powerful attack!"
"Powerful, but too slow," Feitan said, his voice cutting through the air. Moving swiftly, Feitan gathered Nen in his hand, launching a Nen spike at Goki. Goki showed no reaction, perfectly blocking the attack.
’So hard!’ At that mont, Zenki swung his axe at Feitan. Zenki wasn’t as wide as Goki, but he was much faster.
Swish! The axe passed; Feitan jumped, dodging the attack. In the air, he looked at Zenki. ’This one’s faster than the blue one!
Feitan landed; Shizuku attacked again, charging at Feitan. He moved like a red flash, his axe swinging down.
"Careful, Feitan," Franklin said slowly, in a nonchalant tone that belied his concern.
Feitan was annoyed. "You think this can hurt ?!"
Shizuku’s attack ca suddenly. Feitan jumped, flipped, and dodged the attack. He stared at Shizuku.
’The blue one is strong and has amazing defense, but it’s slow. The red one is fast, but its attack isn’t strong. It has a weapon, aning its defense isn’t strong.’
Shizuku’s axe cut a huge hole in the ground. Dust rose. Feitan locked onto Shizuku.
"A Nen beast wants to hurt ? Wait a hundred years!"
He vanished, reappearing before Shizuku. His left hand beca a spike, aiming for Shizuku’s eye.
Clang! Feitan hit Shizuku, but Shizuku only stepped back.
"Damn it, this one’s defense is strong too," Feitan growled, surprised by Shizuku’s speed and defense. ’What kind of Nen beast has such strong defense?’
Goki, though slow, punched at Feitan.
Dong! The punch missed Feitan but shook the hall.
Franklin looked at Shizuku. "No wonder Shizuku wasn’t their opponent."
"If I could break their defenses, and my vacuum cleaner is useless against Nen beasts, and Franklin... I didn’t lose. I just couldn’t beat them," Shizuku said.
Franklin nodded. "You’re right."
Clang! Feitan attacked Goki again. Goki was unhard. Feitan could only dodge Shizuku and Goki’s attacks.
"Feitan, need help?" Franklin asked, seeing Feitan struggling. He could beat them quickly with Nen, but using Nen against Nen beasts without seeing their master was risky. If they recorded his abilities, the enemy would know his powers.
"No! I don’t believe they have no weaknesses."
Clang! Clang! Feitan attacked with full force, his speed increasing. Shizuku couldn’t keep up. Feitan attacked Shizuku and Goki, testing every part of their bodies.
Their eyes might be a weakness, but Shizuku and Goki weren’t blind; they closed their eyes when Feitan attacked. Neither could defeat the other.
Franklin looked at the ti. "Feitan, this won’t work. We’ve wasted too much ti." If the others were alerted, it would be bad.
Feitan looked coldly at Franklin. "I won’t leave until I beat these Nen beasts."
"Feitan, don’t be reckless," Franklin said.
Boom boom! Shizuku and Goki’s attacks missed Feitan, but their defense was impenetrable.
After several seconds, footsteps approached. The gang mbers had noticed and were coming in.
"Feitan!!!" Franklin shouted, angry.
Feitan’s hand knife pierced Shizuku’s head.
"Solved," Shizuku said.
Franklin frowned. "Sothing’s wrong."
"Mission complete!" Shizuku said, dissolving into Nen. Goki stopped attacking and dissipated. The Nen returned to Loki.
Feitan stood there, his face grim. He’d been tricked by the Nen beasts. Shizuku’s last words, "Mission complete," ant their mission was to stall them. Feitan hadn’t defeated them; he’d been outmaneuvered.
"Damn it!!!!!" Feitan roared, his veins bulging. "I’ll kill that Nen beast’s master!"
His roar was heard outside.
"Quickly! There are enemies inside!"
The crowd surrounded the entrance.
Shizuku sighed. "So many people!"
Franklin turned. "They’ll disappear soon." He prepared for a massacre, ignoring Feitan’s rage.
Feitan’s killing intent erupted, like a cold wind. The hall felt like hell. Shizuku breathed out hot air, watching the white mist appear.
Da da da da! Boom! Boom! Explosions echoed through the auction hall.
Baise, Ivlenkov, and Shachmono had t Kurapika, lody, Basho, and Linssen.
"Enemies infiltrated the hall," Shachmono said, his face grim. "Just like Loki said. The people at the auction are probably..."
Baise and Ivlenkov recalled the attacker’s Nen bullets, like machine guns, more powerful than bullets.
"Are you okay?" Basho asked, worried.
Baise shook her head. "If it weren’t for Loki’s Nen beasts, we’d be dead."
"Nen beasts?" Kurapika was surprised. Why did Loki have Nen beasts? Usually, only Manipulation or Emission types have Nen beasts. And Loki was at the hotel! How did his Nen beasts get here? That distance required planning; the beasts acted on his orders. Those beasts shouldn’t be strong.
Baise, Shachmono, and Ivlenkov’s expressions showed the enemy was strong. Loki’s Nen beasts had saved them.
Others didn’t understand. Baise realized she shouldn’t reveal Loki’s abilities, but Shachmono already had.
"Loki’s Nen beasts are self-aware," Shachmono said.
Basho was stunned. Loki had broken weapons with Nen—a clear Enhancent type. Now he had Nen beasts. What type was he?
"Loki, what type are you?" Basho asked Kurapika.
