She went on, seemingly to herself, "It’s strange, though. The kid who injured the Chairman was a kid, and the kid who suddenly attacked was also a kid."
Biscuit found it odd.
Their abilities were completely different.
Rumors said Loki used flas and a strange conjured weapon, while the one who fought her used ice—or rather, the ability to freeze soone’s Nen.
Completely different, opposing forces. One person couldn’t possess both.
"Alright, forget what I just said. Training ti!"
Gon and Killua looked up.
Biscuit smiled. "Though I dislike that kid nad Loki, you two are essentially my grand-nephews! I’m your aunt! So, from now on, I’ll guide your training!"
She patted Binolt’s frozen form. "Your first training: defeat this guy! I’ll unfreeze him later."
Gon and Killua, by chance, had again gained a crucial ntor in Biscuit.
However, the shocking news they’d just received intensified their resolve to grow stronger far beyond what it was before.
As Biscuit prepared to train Gon and Killua, Loki was rapidly heading towards Masadora.
’Death’s Zero-Point Breakthrough.
It’s surprisingly useful,’ he thought, looking at the Nen aura swirling around his hand like mist.
To avoid exposure, Loki couldn’t easily use flas, the Ren, or his Zanpakuto.
Death’s Zero-Point Breakthrough provided excellent concealnt.
The modified Zero-Point Breakthrough absorbed the opponent’s Nen, freezing it.
Before, with his flas, Loki hadn’t needed to freeze Nen; it wasn’t necessary.
But that didn’t an the technique was weak. He’d used it today and found it quite powerful, a highly unexpected move.
The fight with Biscuit had clearly shown him his increased strength—almost double. Fighting was the best way to unlock potential.
The fight with Netero, though without a system reward, yielded far greater gains than expected.
"I must find the Nen remover quickly," Loki thought. "The rewards from that are incomparable."
He rembered the Nen remover from the original story, but finding him on an island would take ti. He accelerated his pace. Soon, Masadora appeared before him.
As Loki quickly arrived in Masadora, a group of seven or eight players arrived at the alley where Loki had been ambushed in Antoribba, the bounty town near the starting area.
"There are still bloodstains, but the bodies are gone!"
"They were probably teleported out after dying."
They examined the bloodstains.
"There are no signs of a fight; they were probably killed instantly."
"There are footprints on the rooftops, but the bloodstains are further away, suggesting they were surrounding soone."
"The bloodstains are far away, aning they tried to escape but failed."
Their expressions darkened.
"Jode was supposed to et us for a trade but said he was going after newbies. Was he killed by newbies?!"
"That’s the only explanation."
Soone objected, "Impossible! They’re veteran players, not easily defeated."
"But that’s the only explanation."
Their leader, who hadn’t spoken, said, "Check if anyone’s card count has suddenly increased."
Soone searched. "No, boss. No one’s card count has increased."
The leader nodded. "Then it’s clear. They were killed by newbies; otherwise, they wouldn’t have forgotten to take the cards."
"Too bad; those guys had cards we needed!"
"It’s fine. Their deaths free up card slots. We can get so cards!"
As they discussed which cards to obtain, soone shouted, "Boss! Look! This is..."
They looked at the text on his card book: ’Lucky Alexander Stone’
At the sa ti, Loki had just entered Masadora, a magical city with a cartoonish style, a hub for trading goods. You could buy many common tool cards and special spell cards in the departnt store.
Because of this, many players gathered here. Loki checked the departnt store but didn’t find the Nen remover.
As he pondered how to discreetly and quickly find him, a system notification appeared.
’Mission Triggered!’ ’Player Purge’ ’Too many players burden the ga. Eliminate excess players to purify the ga environnt.’ ’Reward: One draw chance’ Ti Limit: Before ga completion’
Loki, about to enter the departnt store, stopped and sat by a flower bed. He frowned.
’Eliminate excess players!’ ’I was planning a low-key operation to find the Nen remover,’ he thought.
This new mission has a low reward; even perfect completion only grants one S-rank draw chance. A bit underwhelming.’
He considered it. Though the reward wasn’t attractive, fewer players ant it would be easier to find the Nen remover. The ga was overcrowded. It was ti to remove players who weren’t actively playing. He could also get more cards. Completing both this and the ga conquest would likely yield two S-rank draw chances. Not bad.
Loki headed towards the departnt store, intending to check the spell cards. But he froze. He didn’t have enough in-ga money to buy anything! He hadn’t expected to worry about money again.
He left Masadora, heading for the desolate highlands outside the city. He found himself in an empty field, turning to see two figures who were hopelessly exposed.
"Are you two idiots?!"
They’d followed him this far. After a mont of surprise, they laughed.
"Kid! Since you’ve found us, let’s cut the chase."
"Hand over your card book."
